Liv frowned faintly. "Not a problem… just strange. I'm only three months along, but it looks like… five or six."
Jay went silent.
Completely silent.
A few seconds passed, and Liv began to grow nervous. "You think it's strange too, don't you?"
Jay finally let out a quiet breath. "If you're asking me whether it's normal or not…" He looked at Liv honestly. "I don't know."
Liv blinked.
Jay continued, his tone calm but firm. "I think it would be best if we call Ingira. She understands this better than anyone."
Liv stared at him for a few seconds… and then something clicked.
She lightly tapped her own forehead.
"…Right," she murmured. "I forgot."
Jay raised an eyebrow. "Forgot what?"
Liv looked at him with an expression caught between embarrassment and amusement. "That you're… a man."
For a moment, Jay looked confused, then it dawned on him. A soft breath escaped his nose, followed by a faint, rare smile.
"Ah," he said simply. "That explains a lot."
