Chapter 6 - The Unspoken Words [Seeking Stones]

The Water Wall and the Great Fireball Jutsu vanished simultaneously. Two Chunin instructors appeared in front of Fugaku, one of them still holding the Hand Sign Jutsu.

The Chunin instructors intervened, blocking the massive Great Fireball, and the battle was declared over.

The victor was clear. If not for the Chunin instructors' intervention, Fugaku would have been gravely injured, if not dead.

Rakawa had no intention of continuing the fight either. The two Chunin were beyond his current capabilities; he couldn't fight them.

His Chakra reserves were at the peak of a Genin, on the verge of a breakthrough. Although he could fight Chunin using his Byakugan and Dust Release, revealing those now would be highly disadvantageous.

Weighing their respective strengths, he could only shake his head and sigh. "What a pity. I can't fight two Chunin."

While he sighed inwardly, the two Chunin instructors were already in shock.

They had initially thought that with Fugaku Uchiha using the C-rank Ninjutsu, Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu, Rakawa would have no way to defend against it. To their surprise, his reaction speed was incredibly fast; not only did he escape the attack range, but he also used the Body Flicker Technique to get two people out of danger. This made them somewhat anticipate an exciting duel.

However, the outcome often differed from expectations. There was no grand confrontation, no clash of ninjutsu and Taijutsu; there was only a crushing defeat.

Both used the Great Fireball Jutsu, but the difference in their sizes already indicated who was stronger.

Fugaku had already expended considerable Chakra using the Great Fireball Jutsu once, and his second attempt clearly showed his exhaustion.

Rakawa, on the other hand, showed no signs of fatigue after unleashing a Great Fireball Jutsu far larger than Fugaku's. The disparity was immediately obvious.

If nothing unexpected happened, the battle would have ended with Fugaku Uchiha severely wounded and Rakawa easily victorious. But the two Chunin instructors sensed something was wrong and quickly intervened.

"This kid can also use Fire Style, and its power is even greater than Fugaku Uchiha's. The Hyuga Clan actually produced such a prodigy."

"What a terrifying kid. We truly are getting old."

The two Chunin instructors were filled with emotion. Times were changing so fast, and the new generation was already growing strong.

However, this kid's methods were a bit ruthless; his attacks were surprisingly heavy.

The onlookers didn't know what to say about the scene before them. First, he defeated two geniuses, and now he had crushed the school's top genius, and it was a complete annihilation. Hyuga Rakawa could no longer be described merely as "powerful."

Fugaku slumped to the ground, feeling in that instant how close he had come to the Shinigami, with one foot already stepping into the Gates of Hell.

The aura of death was so terrifying, that feeling of almost bidding farewell to this world – he never wanted to experience it again.

After thinking this, the younger Chunin instructor, with a dark expression, barked at Rakawa, "Were you trying to kill him just now? That level of ninjutsu could have killed him."

Rakawa's cold gaze swept over the Chunin instructor, a hint of sarcasm in his eyes. "Could an Uchiha be killed by Fire Style?"

Was that a compliment? Or contempt?

The Chunin instructor was so angry he didn't know how to respond. Was he supposed to say it was impossible? Then why did he intervene? Was he supposed to say it was possible? Wouldn't that be questioning the Uchiha's glory as the strongest in Fire Style?

"Forget it. As long as no one got hurt, it's just a small accident. Let's drop it."

The older Chunin was more patient and knew better how to handle the situation.

Fugaku hung his head. Rakawa's words were a huge blow to him, almost shattering his self-esteem and confidence.

He carried the glory of the Uchiha Clan, yet he had been instantly defeated by a Hyuga using Fire Style. Was the Uchiha Clan's glory still intact? Did he still have the right to claim the title of Young clan head?

"I was defeated by Fire Style, I was defeated by Fire Style... Fire Style, Fire Style..."

Fugaku mumbled continuously, his eyes vacant, his body trembling slightly. The two Chunin exchanged glances, wondering what this was about.

Rakawa also frowned. Was Fugaku Uchiha's mental fortitude really so fragile, unable to withstand such a minor setback? Had he overestimated him?

However, the next moment, Fugaku's unconscious mumbles made Rakawa's eyes snap open, flashing with cold electricity.

"I actually lost to the son of those two, the son of those two. I actually lost to him, lost to him. No, no, I haven't lost, I haven't lost, I just haven't awakened my eyes yet."

Fugaku's words caught Rakawa's attention, his mind racing.

'The son of those two?' Was he talking about me? But what did he mean by 'my parents'? Did he know them? Or was there something else?

A gut feeling told Rakawa that Fugaku Uchiha definitely knew something, and that something was undoubtedly connected to the Uchiha Clan.

Eight years had passed. Only the direct participants or the involved factions would remember that incident.

"Uchiha Clan, Fugaku Uchiha..."

Making a mental note of this, Rakawa slowly exhaled, suppressing the rising curiosity and killing intent within him, and turned to leave.

But at that moment, a strange power emanating from Fugaku made him stop in his tracks and turn his head.

Fugaku was still slumped on the ground, head down, mumbling incessantly. The two Chunin instructors didn't know whether to scold him or comfort him, at a loss for what to do.

"I haven't lost, I haven't lost, I can't possibly lose! Ah! Hyuga Rakawa!"

Fugaku Uchiha, still mumbling, suddenly roared and stood up abruptly, his eyes fixed on Rakawa.

Those eyes made Rakawa's expression turn sharp. They were red pupils, with a black dot in the center, surrounded by a black circle. On that circle, a black tomoe was strung, rotating along the trajectory of the circle.

These eyes made Rakawa fall silent for a moment. 'The Sharingan. Did this crushing defeat awaken his Sharingan?'

But what if he had awakened the Sharingan? He could still be easily crushed. A defeated opponent was still a defeated opponent, and they would never have a chance to rise again.

Moreover, a salted fish, even if it flips, is still a salted fish.

Fugaku Uchiha, with his awakened Sharingan, stared intently at Rakawa, his ocular power continuously emanating from his eyes, but he made no move.

"Hyuga Rakawa, I will remember today's humiliation. One day, I will personally return it a thousandfold!"

His hatred was immense, making even the two Chunin instructors tremble. This kid's hatred was surprisingly strong.

Rakawa, however, calmly replied, "Oh, really? I hope so."

Then he turned his head and leisurely walked away.

Hiashi and Hizashi exchanged glances and followed him.
