"Alright, KING."

G1's single eye glowed brightly, and it slowly extended a mechanical hand flashing with cold metallic light. With a series of precise mechanical clicks, its palm split open, revealing a deep, dark aperture.

"Now there are no other obstacles."

After speaking, energy gathered in its palm.

"Energy Cannon!"

Lin Mo's eyes instantly sharpened. Almost the moment GG1 raised its hand, he had activated "Supersonic Speed."

His figure suddenly blurred, leaving an afterimage in place, while his true body appeared a few meters away like a ghost.

The energy cannon directly struck the smooth marble floor of the exhibition hall, instantly erupting with a deafening roar. Thick smoke and dust immediately diffused.

Once the smoke and dust had somewhat cleared, a large pit several meters in diameter appeared where it had struck. The ground at the pit's edge was vitreous, having melted and then rapidly cooled, still radiating astonishing heat.

Damn it… if I had been hit by that, I would have been finished… Lin Mo looked at the large pit, feeling a sense of dread.

"Energy Cannon!"

"Energy Cannon!"

G1 pressed its advantage relentlessly. Its other palm also split open, revealing a second dark cannon muzzle.

Two energy cannons fired alternately, forming an impenetrable net, frantically pursuing Lin Mo's figure.

The entire first floor of the Anime City instantly became scarred and ruined, with explosions reverberating one after another.

Exhibition stands that had once displayed exquisite figurines and posters were blown to smithereens, and countless anime character models turned to dust in the shockwaves of the explosions.

However, amidst the dense barrage, Lin Mo's figure moved with ease.

Each of his movements was perfectly timed, always escaping the lock-on range just an instant before the energy cannon struck.

His supersonic figure drew blurry trajectories in the explosions' firelight, moving so fast that ordinary people couldn't perceive it with the naked eye.

To outsiders, this was no longer dodging, but a playful taunt, like strolling through a garden!

Just as Lin Mo dodged another volley and appeared on G1's flank, G1's firing abruptly ceased. Its massive mechanical body spun around, and it grabbed the giant sword from its back.

"Die, KING!"

Oh no… I just finished accelerating, no time to turn… Lin Mo's pupils suddenly contracted, and the shadow of death enveloped him more intensely than ever before.

How could this robot also exploit recovery frames and block movement options!?

Lin Mo looked up, seeing the giant sword descending with the force of Mount Tai.

He watched helplessly as the massive blade grew larger and larger in his pupils, and the shadow of death enveloped him more intensely than ever before.

Oh no… am I going to die… He recalled his previous life, a life as ordinary as could be.

He had no prominent family background, no handsome face, and certainly no extraordinary intelligence.

He was like a grain of sand in a crowded city, giving his all just for the sake of "living."

When he unexpectedly transmigrated to this world and became the highly anticipated S-Class Hero KING, he wasn't overjoyed.

Deep down, he was always enveloped by a vast sense of bewilderment and helplessness.

He didn't know how to face this new world, nor how to play the role of the "popular" hero KING… Just as Lin Mo's life flashed before his eyes, G1's giant sword suddenly stopped a few centimeters above KING.

But the immense wind pressure still ruffled KING's hair, pulling him back from his memories to reality.

"Hmm!?"

Lin Mo looked at G1 in confusion, only to see G1's single eye flashing red light frantically at an erratic frequency, like an appliance about to break down.

Moments later, that sole red light, accompanied by a faint electrical hum, completely extinguished, plunging into eternal darkness.

Seeing G1 in this state, Lin Mo was first stunned, then a surge of ecstasy filled his heart. It seemed the [Coin of Misfortune] had finally worked!

To be safe, Lin Mo quickly put distance between himself and G1, observing G1 from afar to prevent it from suddenly reactivating… Time passed minute by minute. After confirming that G1 had indeed turned into a harmless pile of scrap metal, Lin Mo's taut nerves finally relaxed.

He let out a long sigh, his entire body slumping, then pulled out his phone and dialed the Hero Association's hotline.

"Hello, Mr. KING, how may I help you?" The person who answered at the Association was a sweet-voiced young woman.

"There's a robot causing trouble in Anime City in Z-City…" Lin Mo said weakly.

"Ah? Ah! I understand, the Association will send heroes to resolve it immediately…" The young woman's voice sounded a bit flustered.

"No need, I've already subdued it. You can send people to clean up the aftermath."

After speaking, Lin Mo hung up the phone.

Lin Mo now only felt utterly exhausted. He told the crowd, "It's resolved," and left the battlefield.

When he, unwilling to give up, tried to buy the limited edition figurine he had been longing for, he sadly discovered that the shop had already closed early due to the earlier commotion.

Today was truly unlucky… With no other choice, Lin Mo could only head home for now.

"Wow, that was really thrilling just now! I thought Lord KING was going to be chopped by that giant sword!" A glasses-wearing otaku exaggeratedly patted his chest.

"What do you know!" His companion next to him immediately retorted.

"That's called strategy! Lord KING was deliberately feigning weakness to lure the robot into using its strongest attack, so he could analyze its weakness the moment it exposed a flaw, and then deliver a fatal blow! See, isn't that robot already defeated?"

"Still a bit disappointed," a fan carrying a camera said regretfully.

"I thought I'd get to witness KING's famous technique, 'Hellfire Unrivaled Blazing Wave Cannon.'"

With G1 defeated and KING's departure, the crowd immediately began discussing animatedly, their faces flushed with excitement… Not long after, people from the Hero Association arrived at the scene, accompanied by several heroes.

However, unexpectedly, the S-Class Hero Rank 5, Child Emperor, also came to the scene.

After all, when it came to robots, this was Child Emperor's specialty.

Child Emperor himself was very interested in this newly emerged robot and volunteered to come over.

Child Emperor first went up to inspect the robot.

"Hmm… The exterior armor shows no obvious damage, the connections are intact, and there are no signs of intense struggle."

He circled G1, "Is it an internal system problem?"

Child Emperor wasted no more time. He took out a professional toolbox from his backpack that looked even bigger than the backpack itself. In no time, he removed G1's chest armor, revealing the complex wiring and core unit inside.

"The central processor is shattered, what happened? Was it external force? Then why are there no signs of struggle on the exterior?"

Child Emperor was completely baffled, "Could it be… that the core overheated and self-destructed due to program overload?"

"It was Lord KING's 'Emperor's Aura'!" a fan who was being questioned nearby excitedly interrupted.

"Didn't you see, Lord KING just stood there, glared coldly at it, and that robot broke down on its own!"

"You're talking nonsense!" another fan immediately retorted.

"I saw it clearly, Lord KING obviously used the ultimate technique of 'Ki Flow,' directly sending a shockwave into the robot's interior, shattering its core!"

... Ignoring the chatterboxes around him, whose stories grew increasingly outlandish, Child Emperor licked a lollipop. Uncle KING, huh?

A device is almost finished. I'll pay him a visit later when it's done…
