That purified energy then flowed through his meridians, circulating in a complete cycle, refined once more, before transforming into pure Dou Qi that nourished his body.
Time blurred in cultivation. As hours turned into days, the Fire Bead Gels diminished piece by piece, while the Dou Qi within Liu Xi's body surged upward at an astonishing rate. The realms that took others decades to reach were shattered by Liu Xi in a single furious advance.
Peak 4-Turn Dou Zun… 5-Turn… 6-Turn… all the way to 9-Turn Dou Zun. By then, every Fire Bead Gel—including the two Half Saint-level ones—had been completely absorbed.

His body had already undergone nine transformations, reaching the absolute limit of the mortal form.
Just one more step—and he would cross into the Half Saint realm, an entirely new level of existence. Countless peak Dou Zuns had failed to breach this bottleneck their entire lives. But Liu Xi firmly believed that such a barrier would not stop him. His ambition was the boundless starry sea—his goal was to reach Dou Di. He swallowed one pearl-like fragment of white bone essence. The moment it melted into his stomach, boundless energy exploded forth. Dou Qi surged violently; Liu Xi's body spun like a storm-tossed windmill, drawing every trace of energy inward—crushing, refining, and assimilating it all.
He was climbing a towering peak, and the Dou Saint Bone Marrow provided the final push, driving him upward toward the summit. Yet, the force wasn't enough. Alert, Liu Xi immediately swallowed the second piece. More vast energy erupted, propelling him higher and higher toward that invisible peak.
The journey was arduous. The Dou Qi refined through the Heavenly Flame was so dense and vast that his power far exceeded others of the same level. This also meant his breakthrough demanded more—much more—pure energy to solidify his foundation while maintaining this explosive growth.
Thanks to his extraordinary affinity with Heavenly Flames and his innate talent, Liu Xi's comprehension of flame had deepened beyond measure. What others required decades to achieve, he completed in mere moments.
Closer… closer… the Half Saint realm was within reach. The summit loomed above him, separated by only a single step. Yet, the Dou Saint Bone Marrow's energy was running out.
'Just a bit more…'
Unwilling to stop, Liu Xi growled under his breath. The veil of the Half Saint realm already lay open before him—how could he retreat now?
"Break for me!"
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
A surge of powerful Spiritual Power erupted from him. A terrifying domain instantly expanded, enveloping the entire Star Region. Every flame, every mote of starlight—all were seized and drawn toward him.
He devoured everything without mercy. No matter how chaotic the energy, once it entered Liu Xi's body, it was purified by the Heavenly Flame Furnace, converted into purest Dou Qi, and transformed into the final force pushing him past his limits.
And in that instant—bang!—Liu Xi crossed the threshold. The Half Saint realm lay beneath his feet.
"Half Saint… hahahaha!"
His laughter echoed like thunder. Half Saint was not his destination—merely the beginning of a new climb. But the satisfaction of breaking through was exhilarating nonetheless.
Crack… rumble…
A strange sound reached his ears. The laughter vanished, replaced by a grim expression.
"Not good… the Star Region is collapsing…"
Everything within the Star Region had turned desolate. Every trace of flame, every shimmer of starlight—drained dry by Liu Xi's breakthrough. The realm was collapsing under the sheer weight of his power.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The void shattered into chunks of darkness, and violent space storms erupted, accelerating the destruction. Even though Liu Xi's Half Saint power made him immune to the collapse, this place was no longer suitable to stay.
"Forget it. The danger's gone—let the Star Region collapse."
With calm composure, Liu Xi rose to his feet and waved a hand. Invisible spatial ripples spread, tearing open a rift in space. Stepping through, he emerged into the open air above Holy Pill City—where Xuan Kongzi, Tian Leizi, and a dozen elders were already assembled, their auras flaring.
"Everyone, stabilize the Star Region at once! Don't let the Star Flames reach the city—"
Before Xuan Kongzi could even finish shouting.
Liu Xi casually stepped out from the spatial rift, smiling as all eyes turned toward him.
"Are you all here to welcome me out of seclusion? You didn't have to be this formal…"
