Chapter 120: The Ruthless Fallen King Kong
On the surface, everything seemed calm and peaceful. This planet whose transliterated name meant "hungry" appeared to be entirely under Decepticon control. The creature known as the Fallen King Kong, along with his followers, had broken through the seal of the frozen Arctic and reached the warm plains. The Huns, who had been eagerly awaiting his arrival, cheered with wild joy:
"Great God! After millions of years of waiting, we can finally conquer all beneath your dominion once more! We will make those Easterners surrender all their fertile lands and their souls to you!"
Although these ordinary humans were relatively weak compared to the Transformers and Predacons, their intellect rivaled that of the Super Transformers. Thus, through tens of thousands of years of evolution, all the mighty beasts of this planet had been conquered and enslaved by them.
Unlike those primitive beasts, however, the Fallen King preferred to select promising individuals among humans and transform them. The new humans created in this way possessed both strength and intelligence an invaluable resource for his army.
But there was a problem: the Fallen King lacked resources. Without sufficient power, even if he managed to convert a great number of Hunnic warriors, they would still be nothing but hollow puppets an enormous waste of energy. The Fallen King was far too calculating to tolerate such inefficiency.
"They shouldn't depend on me for everything. How many ruins have they found over the years? How many of my old subordinates have they revived? It's been nearly a thousand years since my last slumber, and they've accomplished nothing! They almost lost their own land to those Easterners!"
Though the humans before him seemed enthusiastic, the Fallen King's intelligence told him the truth the Huns had been recently defeated by the armies of General Rylenand were now desperate for their god-king to strike back.
Moreover, according to the Fallen One's deduction, the Autobots who had escaped the North Pole must have already found their allies in the East. In comparison, the morale of the Han people was far higher than that of these desperate Huns.
"M–Master, my great lord! We… we have failed you. With the help of the golden men you left us, we discovered a massive underground ruin but what emerged from it were our enemies, and so…"
The man in black robes kneeling at the feet of the towering Fallen King was likely the Hunnic priest who had witnessed the destruction wrought by Starscream and his group. This time, however, their luck had truly run out. Had Starscream not interfered and awakened the Dinobots, they might have at least unearthed some Decepticon relics. But fate was cruel before the power of such an alien civilization, even the cleverest human was powerless.
"Hmph. Explaining this to you simpletons is pointless. Take me to this ruin. Some of the useless parts can still be salvaged."
As the one who had witnessed it all, the Fallen knew far more than Starscream ever could. For instance, he knew exactly where the remains of the Decepticon warriors who perished alongside the Dinobots lay scattered. Which fragments still showed traces of energy? Which sparks could still be reactivated? All of that information was stored in the Fallen King's ancient memory banks.
Thus, his next task was clear: to re-excavate the underground ruins destroyed by Starscream and the Dinobots and recover anything of true value.
"Master, you are truly wise! We followed your command and, with the help of those great beasts, made an incredible discovery!"
To speed up the excavation, the Fallen ordered the one called Diablo to lead his Predacons in mining operations. In less than three days, they reached an area that Starscream's team had never explored.
Perhaps because the Predacons carried a trace of Decepticon energy within them, they quickly unearthed seven or eight robotic corpses bearing the Decepticon insignia. They brought them to the Fallen King for examination.
These had once been his elite guards. But after centuries of oxidation and decay, most were barely recognizable. Even with the finest technology, they could never be restored to their former might. And for the Decepticons, the Fallen's rule was absolute there was no place for the useless.
"Look at you, my little ones… even broken as you are, if your sparks still burn, you may yet create something new."
Just as he had done in the Arctic, the Fallen extended his massive hand, pulling forth his brilliant blue spark. Thin tendrils of energy arced outward, slowly injecting life into the ruined bodies before him.
It was a spark activation ritual. If the Decepticons' cores still held power, they would soon react.
"Crack… crack… thud, thud…"
Except for two completely inert husks, the rest began to twitch and stir. Two even opened their optics and struggled to stand.
"Three-Headed Tiger greets the leader!"
"Never thought I'd see you again, Earthclaw Wolf cough, cough!"
Their bodies were shattered, but their voices carried emotion and awe at the sight of their resurrected master the Fallen King Kong, once known as Chi You. These two had been among his most renowned vanguard generals.
But before Earthclaw Wolf could finish his words, a sharp metallic blade pierced through his chest, revealing a glowing blue orb the reduced-sized Fire Seed.
"Earthclaw Wolf… I remember you were strong once. So why is there only one claw left now? I think you should keep sleeping I'll take your Fire Seed for safekeeping!"
What a ruthless Decepticon leader ripping open the chest of his once-loyal subordinate and seizing his Fire Seed without hesitation. The onlookers trembled in terror.
"Why?! Lord Chi You, what are you doing?!"
"Hah! You call yourself a Three-Headed Tiger, yet you barely have half a head left. Pathetic!"
CRACK!
With a casual twist, the Fallen seized the head of the other Decepticon his faithful subordinate just moments ago and crushed it in his palm. The newly revived warrior collapsed lifelessly to the ground, reduced once more to cold, lifeless scrap.
