Mu Zili's five-colored glow spanned the void, with the Dao Palace closing in behind him.
Now, once again, the roles of attack and defense have reversed, but Ghostly Soul wouldn't let Mu Zili move.
Yet similarly, Mu Zili could do nothing to him, and he could do nothing to Mu Zili.
"Is this all you've got?"
Ghostly Soul spoke with sarcasm, attempting to provoke the other.
However, Mu Zili's disposition wasn't the sort to be easily angered; instead, after a few moves, he returned the insult.
"When you attained the Dao, I was just a minor cultivator. When I attained the Dao, I was already your equal."
It's a perfect illustration of the highest level of insult without using profanity.
Indeed, neither could best the other, but how long had it been since Ghostly Soul attained the Dao, and how recently Mu Zili? The gap between them was nearly a thousand years.
The latter catching up is not shameful.
The former being caught up to, now that's shameful.
