Ravion blamed himself for what had happened and for his inability to do anything.
"It's all because of me. I couldn't do anything. I'm a terrible and weak person!"
But…
One of the villagers stepped forward and spoke in a calm voice: "I know the loss is great, and the grief is heavy. But this is not the time to blame yourself. We are with you, and we share your sorrow."
Days passed in which time no longer meant anything to Ravion. The house that had once been full of life became an open grave, and the silence was heavier than screaming.
Ravion shouted:
"Yes! This is not the time to blame myself. I must take revenge for my parents!"
A red light appeared, bound to Ravion, pulling him along. Ravion was shocked, but the red light continued dragging him until he reached his mother Vanil's room. Suddenly, a hidden underground vault opened. Inside the vault was a box. Ravion opened the box hidden within it and…
Ravion said:
"Healing Seals?"
A circular intertwined engraving, within which glowing watery symbols flowed in a faint blue light.
In this world, healing was not limited to spells alone. There were also healing seals, engraved through complex methods, and each seal had a level:
First Level: Heals minor wounds quickly.
Second Level: Accelerates recovery.
Third Level: Cures minor illnesses quickly.
Fourth Level: Treats illnesses and semi-deep wounds.
Fifth Level: Heals all deep wounds, but slowly.
Sixth Level: Heals diseases and deep wounds at a legendary speed.
Stellar Level: Said to challenge death itself.
Ravion possessed four seals: One at the fourth level,
one at the second level,
one at the fifth level,
and one at the first level.
He remembered that his mother used the Stellar Healing Seal.
He said: "Is this really my mother's creation?"
He hid the seals with him and set off on his path of revenge toward the main families.
The main families were very far from the lower regions. Ravion knew he had to ask the head of the Left Family, Raven, about the way to reach them. He found the Left Family's house, leaped using the Wind Star, and entered through the window of the family head, Raven.
Raven was shocked and hid in fear, but Ravion spotted him and shouted loudly:
"Family Head! Raven!"
Raven realized this was the boy Ravion, whose family had been killed by the Emperor himself. He relaxed when he saw that Ravion was just a boy, not a monster.
Raven, the head of the Left Family, said: "What do you want, boy, and how dare you come here like this?"
Ravion replied while laughing: "Alright, I'm sorry. I just want you to guide me to the path of the main families."
Raven trembled and spoke in a very fearful voice: "Ravion… there is no path to reach them."
Ravion replied: "D-does that mean… no revenge for my mother and father?"
Raven sighed and said: "There are only two ways to reach the cities of the main families.
First: Obtain permission from all the main families, which requires proving your worth. This is almost impossible, as a main family would never accept a commoner like us.
Second: Smuggling."
Ravion said: "Smuggling?"
Raven replied: "Yes. Smuggling through cargo ships that travel from the left and right regions."
Ravion said: "It seems I have no easier option. I will choose the second."
Raven said to Ravion: "Be careful. There are many watchers."
Ravion thanked Raven for the advice and the help.
Raven replied: "There is no need to thank me. This is my duty, Ravion."
Ravion left the Left Family's house without looking back.
The left-side port was boiling with activity. Massive cargo ships, guards with expressionless faces, and watchers observing even people's breathing.
Ravion watched the place from above. He did not rush. Then he whispered:
"Smuggling… so I won't cross as a human."
He activated the Wind Star and flowed with the air. Lamps illuminated the darkness. Ravion avoided all the lights until he landed in the cargo hold of a ship.
But as soon as he settled, a faint voice was heard:
"Don't move."
Four smugglers appeared.
The first was broad-shouldered, with cautious eyes.
The second was a young man who laughed a lot and was excited about everything.
The third looked ordinary, with calm features and a friendly voice.
The fourth was a silent girl, standing behind them, watching without speaking.
The broad man said: "We are not guards. If you're looking for passage, you're in the right place."
Ravion slowly lowered his hand. He felt no direct hostility.
He said: "I want to reach the Five Cities."
They exchanged glances.
The broad man smiled and said: "They're called the Five Cities, but the road is long."
The third said gently: "With us, the path becomes shorter."
The ship began to move.
During the following days, they shared food, took turns guarding, until their presence became familiar.
The first was named Garm, protecting those with him without hesitation.
The second was named Lin, laughing often despite the tension.
The third was named Sirk, calm, helping silently, and only intervening when necessary.
The fourth was named Ariana, a quiet girl who observed more than she spoke.
One night, Lin was injured during a sudden inspection. The bleeding would not stop.
Ravion stepped forward and took out a first-level seal.
He placed it on the wound…
