Chapter 31 - Chapter 31: The Name of Shion

Therefore, he had an accurate judgment of 'whether this voice is suitable for this character'.

And as the 'client who selected and found fault', he clearly understood the requirements and knew 'what kind of seiyuu could be chosen'.

Thus, he was confident he could train the girl to become a self-reliant seiyuu.

"Once you've practiced well, we'll record a voiceover ourselves, then send the audition file to the seiyuu agency we're interested in. First, we'll conquer the agency with our voices. That way, even if they see your appearance later, the agency staff won't prioritize your looks. It's that simple."

"…"

So… he had already thought this much.

He was serious about wanting to make her a seiyuu.

"So, things are going to be very busy from now on! So busy you'll want to borrow a cat's paw!"

"So busy you'll want to borrow a cat's paw" is a Japanese proverb meaning to be extremely busy.

Akira wanted to grab Kuroo's paw to demonstrate, but instead, he got scratched twice by Kuroo. She really wasn't cooperative at all…

After scratching him, Kuroo ran to the black long straight hair girl's feet, meowing, still asking for milk.

The girl squatted down, unscrewed the cap of the milk bottle in her hand, then used the cap to scoop up milk and placed it in front of Kuroo.

Akira was a little surprised to see this. So she wasn't going to drink it herself?

Exchanging half of her life for a bottle of milk to feed a cat?

But exchanging her life for milk was already ridiculous in itself.

Selling her life cheaply probably meant she didn't want to leave herself any way out.

"I should say thank you to you."

"Meow~"

Kuroo licked the milk, letting out a happy meow.

"What's her name?"

"Kuroo."

"Hmm, thank you, Kuroo."

Thank you for finding me.

And thank you for bringing this person to me.

A turning point in life is a difference of a hair's breadth, a miss of a thousand miles.

If she hadn't met him, perhaps she, with no other options, would truly have become a so-called 'God-waiting girl,' or even a streetwalker selling her body.

"Then, what about you?"

"Oh, speaking of which, we haven't even exchanged names yet…"

It was quite strange that they had talked for so long, even sealed a cooperation agreement, yet still didn't know each other's names.

Akira shook his head, chuckled, then put his hands on his hips and said,

"My name is Akira, just an ordinary High School boy."

"Akira… Akira-kun…"

The girl repeated the name as if to engrave it in her memory, until she smoothly called him…

"Akira-kun, may I call you that?"

"Sure, I don't mind."

In Japan, it seems only people with a good relationship call each other by their first names. Usually, they use surnames as a respectful address, like the class monitor calling him 'Kuroba-kun'.

But Akira actually didn't care much about that. He used to work at a game company, and nicknames were used even more often there.

"I told you my name, so you have to tell me yours too, right?"

"I am Shion. You can also call me by my first name, Shion."

"Oh-ho…"

The name Shion reminded Akira of a certain S-type white-haired maid, completely opposite to black long straight hair.

"Is there a problem?"

"No, I think this name has a great meaning. Just by the name, I know you'll definitely become popular, a huge success, so popular it's purple to black."

"A strange way of putting it…"

Akira's later words were actually a pun, but it didn't have the same flavor when said in Japanese.

So Akira switched to a more direct way of speaking.

"What I mean is, you don't need to be some 'God-waiting girl'. I will make you your own god."
