Thanks to Luca's directions, the zeppelin flew toward the west, reaching a residential zone on the edge of the city. Ard and Eva looked at the grand, asymmetrical house designs, complete with detailed ornaments; they featured steep, pointed roofs with red tiles, large windows, and high ceilings. The houses consisted of two floors, an attic, and a basement that was visible from the outside because of its windows. The houses were positioned far apart from one another, separated by spacious yards. Seeing the familiar house designs, without realizing it, Ard and Eva smiled with teary eyes as they remembered their homes back when they lived on Earth before the war.
Luca, who was standing between the two of them, turned to look left and right at them both; then, she pulled on both of their hands until they startled and turned to look at her.
"Hey... why are you guys spacing out again?" Luca snapped, annoyed.
"Oh... sorry, I just remembered something," Eva said, wiping her watery eyes.
