Chapter 122 - Chapter 122: Gungnir Unleashed

[Chat Group]

Uchiha Miyuki: "Victory! Victory! His Highness Jaeger triumphs again!"

Esdeath: "Compose yourself. Wasn't this outcome inevitable?"

Luo Hao: "Indeed. With the Power of Horus, the solar flame in his eyes, and the blessing of the sky god, Jaeger should easily crush him."

Nakiri Erina: "So the next step is dealing with the Transmigrator, right? Even though I wasn't on the mission team, I feel strangely nervous."

Jibril: "Don't be. It's just Gungnir, the spear with a sure-hit attribute. No seals, no instant death. Even I would find it hard to take damage from that. For someone like Jaeger, it's barely a threat."

Eriri Sawamura: "Every day I listen to you all and feel like I'm watching gods banter. Even Gungnir, the weapon of a god king, is considered mere fluff!"

Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Have you ever considered that you're just too weak? Did you stop trying after you ate that fake Nine-Tailed Fox fruit, you blonde failure?"

Eriri Sawamura: "Gah! You overweight bully! Can't go a day without picking on me, huh?!"

Kasumigaoka Utaha: "It's called tradition. Mocking golden-haired losers gives me life. Oh... what's this? Tears of the Goddess?"

Luo Hao: "A magical artifact I enhanced. Not only can it summon floods to destroy the world, it can also bring divine nectar to heal it. Truly worthy of being the Tears of the Nine Heavens."

Soul Society.

The Tears of the Goddess, after being enhanced twelvefold by Luo Hao, worked wonders.

The shattered earth of Soul Society regenerated in an instant. In the Fourth Division barracks, wounded Shinigami recovered before their comrades' shocked eyes.

"Such power... You, boy! You wield both destruction and salvation! My title I can say it can be held by you with no shame!"

From near death to just bruised, Yamamoto didn't hesitate to admit defeat. He gazed at Jaeger, not as a superior, but as an equal—or perhaps even as someone greater.

He had given it everything, and yet, Jaeger defeated him without even delivering a killing blow.

Then, Genryusai's tone shifted.

"But one question remains. You are not Shinigami. Nor Hollow. Nor Quincy. Just what are you?"

"Ahem! Old man! Don't stress over it now. I'll explain another time."

Yamamoto Mei, nervously tugging on the elder's sleeve, quickly turned to Kyoraku Shunsui.

"Oi! Hurry and take him to Fourth Division! His wounds might be mostly healed, but who knows what side effects remain!"

"Uh... Sensei, what do you say?"

Shunsui looked down at his Sensei with a conflicted face. Although Mei was probably his rightful successor, he still needed the old man's decision.

"Then... let's listen to Mei."

Yamamoto Genryusai nodded slowly, glancing at Jaeger.

"He had many chances to finish me, but he didn't. That tells me enough. I only asked out of curiosity."

With that, he closed his eyes. Tired. Defeated. Yet, at peace.

Shunsui, understanding his master's will, gave Jaeger a respectful nod. The battle was over, but the respect remained.

Then he turned to the girls.

"You three—do you want to come with us? Fourth Division could still examine you."

"No thank you! I'm fine, Captain Shunsui! I need to stay with Jaeger-sama!"

Hinamori Momo's cheeks flushed, and she hurriedly declined.

"Thank you, Captain. But my injuries are minor."

Matsumoto Rangiku's mind was elsewhere—tormented by the truth about Gin Ichimaru. This man before her, Jaeger, had opened her eyes—and stolen her heart in the process.

"I'm staying. I have... things to discuss with him."

Soi Fon's tone was cold, but her eyes were intense as they bore into Jaeger. She looked at him like a predator eyeing its prey.

"Wow... So this is what they mean by 'girls like bad boys'?"

Shunsui sighed. He'd wanted to whisk these girls away from Jaeger, the so-called 'playboy devil', but they all resisted. He couldn't help but question his own charm.

"Ah well. I'm a good man. I won't stoop to copying that rogue."

With that, he carried Genryusai away toward Fourth Division, retreating with a melancholic air.

"I'll find out the truth myself."

Matsumoto Rangiku stepped close to Jaeger, her eyes complicated.

"If the evidence is real, I'll apologize."

Jaeger smiled faintly.

"I don't need your apology."

"Eh?"

Before she could respond, he leaned in—too close. Too sudden. Her eyes widened.

She was kissed again.

This time, her mind didn't resist. Maybe it was fatigue. Maybe it was familiarity. Maybe it was heartbreak over Gin.

Either way, she didn't fight it. She even... responded slightly.

"Ugh, shameless pigs."

Soi Fon turned away with a scowl.

Nearby, Kocho Shinobu watched with a faint pout. Jaeger had never kissed her like that.

Utaha just rolled her eyes.

"Same old Jaeger. Taming girls with his lips."

Finally, Rangiku pulled away, gasping for breath. Her face flushed like a sunset.

"I... I have to go check on the Captain! Yes! I'm his vice-captain, after all!"

She spun on her heel and fled.

Jaeger chuckled, watching her disappear.

"She really isn't honest with herself."

Utaha folded her arms. "If Gin could see her now, blushing in another man's arms, he'd probably crawl out of the grave in rage."

"He deserves it."

Soi Fon spoke sharply. "He betrayed Soul Society. Teamed up with Hueco Mundo. If Jaeger hadn't killed him, I would've."

"The angry shorty is cute too."

Jaeger winked.

"I am not cute!"

Soi Fon glared, cheeks slightly pink. Then her tone softened.

"What you said before... about Yoruichi. Did you mean it?"

Jaeger blinked. "Said what now?"

Her eyebrow twitched.

"You really forgot?! You—you...!"

How could someone who flirted with so many girls remember every promise?

Fuming, Soi Fon floated up to Jaeger's ear and whispered coldly:

"You said you could capture that woman... Yoruichi."

Jaeger's smirk returned.

"Of course."

Soi Fon's sudden proposition caught Jaeger off guard. His eyes gleamed mischievously as he leaned closer to the petite captain. "So, you're willing to become mine if I capture Yoruichi for you?"

Soi Fon's face flushed, but her determination didn't waver. "As long as you can capture Yoruichi and place her under my control, I'll honor my word."

Her obsession with Yoruichi had grown over the years, bordering on fixation. The idea of finally confronting her former mentor was too enticing to pass up.

Jaeger chuckled, clearly enjoying the turn of events. "It's a deal then."

Soi Fon exhaled, relieved that Jaeger took her seriously. She had feared he might dismiss her plea as a joke.

Suddenly, she felt Jaeger's arm wrap around her slender waist. Her eyes widened in surprise.

"Consider this a down payment," Jaeger whispered, leaning in.

Caught off guard, Soi Fon froze, unsure of how to react. It was her first time being this close to a man, and her usual composure faltered.

"Just think of it as a bee sting," she told herself, trying to maintain her resolve.

Observing from a distance, Hinamori Momo clenched her fists, a pang of jealousy surfacing. "I should have been the first," she muttered.

Kasumigaoka Utaha, Yamamoto Mei, and others watched the scene unfold. Jaeger, sensing the growing tension, released Soi Fon, who quickly retreated, leaving behind her tattered coat.

Before disappearing, Soi Fon grabbed Hinamori Momo, pulling her along. Perhaps she wanted to shield the younger girl from Jaeger's unpredictable nature.

Kasumigaoka Utaha smirked, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "Three beautiful women in a single day. Truly impressive, Jaeger-kun."

Jaeger turned to Yamamoto Mei. "Shall we proceed to the Human world?"

Yamamoto Mei nodded. "Aizen mentioned that the Transmigrator is about to make a move. We should act swiftly."

"Then let's go," Jaeger said, excitement evident in his voice. "I believe we need to get there soon, what about you Kocho-chan?"

Kocho Shinobu hesitated. "I might not be of much help. Perhaps it's better if I stay behind."

Jaeger interrupted, his voice firm. "Join us. I'll summon the Chaos Dragon Leviathan to protect you. Witnessing the battle might grant you new strength."

Kocho Shinobu's eyes lit up with determination. "You're right. I want to become stronger."

Meanwhile, in the Human World

Urahara Kisuke sat in his shop, engrossed in his research. Nearby, Shihouin Yoruichi lounged on a bookcase, resembling a relaxed feline.

Unbeknownst to them, Kenji Saito observed from the shadows, frustration evident on his face.

"Where is the Hōgyoku? Did Urahara already place it in Rukia Kuchiki?" he pondered. "I've wasted enough time. It's time to act."

Summoning a spear adorned with ancient runes and crafted from the World Tree's branches, he prepared to strike.

"Go forth, Gungnir!" he declared, hurling the spear with precision.

Kenji Saito didn't rely on any flashy techniques or overwhelming power. He simply tightened his grip on the spear and hurled it forward with the precision of a seasoned athlete.

Swoosh——!

Urahara Kisuke was deep in his research when a sudden chill ran through him—an instinctive warning.

Before his mind could process it, his body was already moving to dodge. But it was too late. Blood burst from his chest as the spear tore through him, its force driving him back like a falling star.

Even with all his speed and experience, he couldn't avoid it. The throw had been too clean.
