Soul Society – The Next Day
"You! You're so handsome and cool—so why are you this annoying?!"
A loud complaint echoed through the Fourth Division's training yard, coming from a certain purple-haired, twin-tailed tsundere.
Saito Furōfushi, looking both frustrated and flustered, glared at the man beside her.
After consuming Jaeger's blood, her injuries had been completely healed. Unohana Retsu, too, was now resting peacefully, her strength significantly restored.
Both women, legendary Shinigami with over 2,000 years of history, had received Jaeger's gift and the results were astonishing.
Jaeger himself, of course, was still as casual as ever. He wasn't worried. His bloodline, as a descendant of the Otsutsuki progenitor, wasn't infinite—but it was close.
Constantly absorbing ambient spiritual energy like a vacuum, his body could operate in a near-perpetual state.
No matter how much energy he expended, it would be recovered in no time.
To put it simply—Jaeger could cross the universe with his fists, and still have enough left in the tank to fight a war.
Otsutsuki ancestors really are like Super Saiyans, huh...?
As for Saito's dramatic outburst? Jaeger naturally tuned her out. After all, he had already won.
She could vent all she liked. It didn't change the fact that she had lost to him in a one-on-one sword duel so badly, she'd nearly cried.
Even Kotetsu Isane, who had been standing guard outside the gates, was traumatized by the emotional and spiritual pressure.
Soul Society really is something else… Such a fruitful trip.
Not only did he gain new Noble Phantasms and system rewards from the chat group, but he also spent quality time with several powerful women. If anything, this mission felt more like a vacation.
Just then, a new message popped up in the chat group.
[Chat Group]
Uchiha Miyuki: Jaeger-sama, are you still bullying my two Shinigami waifus—Yoruichi and Soi Fon? Senpai and Shinobu-chan already returned to their worlds. Come back soon! Let's collect the mission rewards and welcome the newcomers!
Eriri Sawamura: ...I've read a lot of NTR doujins, but this is the first time I've seen someone voluntarily play the NTR role. You'll turn any popular anime girl into your waifu, huh?
Uchiha Miyuki: Of course! Eriri, you are one of my waifus! So is the Ice Queen, the God-Slayer Onee-san, and every other beautiful anime character in existence!
Eriri Sawamura: ...As long as you're happy, I guess.
Esdeath: Hmph. I'm used to her nonsense by now. If Miyuki ever stops obsessing over her anime waifus, that would be the real apocalypse.
Kasumigaoka Utaha: It's a shame most of these "waifus" prefer men. Even Kushina, your precious red-haired bestie, fell for a certain "Mr. Jaeger." That man stole her heart without saying a word.
Uchiha Miyuki: AHHHH! Stop bringing that up! My poor Kushina... Now she just sits around waiting for Jaeger-sama to return. He's too wild!
Uchiha Miyuki: Speaking of which... Jaeger-sama, are you still with Soi Fon and Yoruichi?
Yamamoto Mei: Probably not. They're currently fighting me. I guess they couldn't beat Jaeger, so they decided to take out their frustration on me instead.
Uchiha Miyuki: ??? They're your love rivals now?
Yamamoto Mei: Of course not. Even before I ate the enhanced Lightning Fruit, my old man had to use Bankai to stop me. Now? I'm holding back both hands and they still can't touch me. [Image Attached]
The image showed Yoruichi and Soi Fon, both looking beaten, dirty, and thoroughly humiliated. Their grumpy, embarrassed faces were enough to make the entire group burst into laughter.
Uchiha Miyuki: I feel bad for my anime waifus. Mei, stop bullying them or Jaeger-sama might get mad!
Jaeger: ...If they were bullied by strangers, sure, I'd be pissed. But Mei's one of us. It's fine.
Uchiha Miyuki: Wait... "one of us"? Did something happen between you two during your time in Bleach World?
Jaeger: Not really. I just happened to meet her old man—Captain Commander—and, well... beat him senseless. Does that count as meeting the parents?
Yamamoto Mei: ...If that's how you meet parents, then congratulations, your impression in my old man's eyes just hit rock bottom.
Luo Hao: Pfft! Is it because of what happened with Hinamori, Soi Fon, and Matsumoto Rangiku? Yeah... it's not hard to see why the old man's not thrilled.
Jaeger: ...
Uchiha Miyuki: LMAO! At this rate, Jaeger-sama's name will be famous across Soul Society... for all the wrong reasons! You're gonna get eggs thrown at you by every angry Shinigami woman out there!
Uchiha Miyuki: So? Since you're not with Soi Fon and Yoruichi, where are you now? Don't tell me you've already bagged another girl?
Jaeger: ...
Esdeath: Oh ho... That silence says it all.
Uchiha Miyuki: You traitor!! Who is it this time?! Don't tell me it's Rangiku Matsumoto? Or Ise Nanao? It's not Nemu, right?!
"Just shut up already! I'm trying to rest!"
Saito's irritated voice cut through the moment, but Jaeger ignored her. Grinning, he reached over, curled his fingers around her twin-tails, and pulled her close for a selfie.
Jaeger: [Image] Thanks for the concern. I'm in the Fourth Division, just finished sparring with two 2,000-year-old "old ladies." Now taking a break.
In the photo, Jaeger's god-tier face filled one half of the frame, while the annoyed, flushed face of a tsundere twin-tailed girl—Saito—graced the other half.
Given the clues—"Fourth Division," "2,000 years old," purple twin-tails—any Bleach fan in the group instantly figured it out.
Uchiha Miyuki: Holy crap! That's Saito Furōfushi?! Kenji Saito's cousin?! We always thought she'd join the chat group, and you got to her first?!
Yamamoto Mei: …Then the other one must be Captain Unohana. You're really in the Fourth Division right now?
Luo Hao: Jaeger does love this type—enemy's wife, daughter, cousin... He's got a pattern.
Esdeath: The purple twin-tails look nice. She doesn't seem too unwilling, either.
Uchiha Miyuki: I give up! You bagged two legendary women in one day?! Jaeger-sama, please teach me how to flirt like that!
Jaeger: It's simple. Just beat them until they like you. If they don't like you, beat them more. Eventually, they'll do anything for you. Love is just a bonus.
Uchiha Miyuki: HUH?! That's horrifying!
Yamamoto Mei: ...Idiot. He's clearly joking—doing a Yujiro Hanma reference. But realistically, yeah, women like Unohana and Saito aren't the type you charm with flowers. You have to beat them down first.
Uchiha Miyuki: So even my waifu dreams require combat power now?! I'm being discriminated against for being weak?!
Aizen Sosuke: Impressive as always, Jaeger. From the memory copies alone, we know how difficult Unohana and Saito are. Yet both of them fell within a day. Truly remarkable.
Aizen Sosuke: By the way, the "gift" I prepared is ready. You can come collect it anytime.
Jaeger: Gift? Why not just send it via gift box?
Aizen Sosuke: Unfortunately, gift boxes don't work for living things.
Jaeger: So it's alive...?
Uchiha Miyuki: Wait... Don't tell me it's that project we talked about?! Aizen, you actually finished it?!
Yamamoto Mei: ...You're such a mad scientist.
Aizen Sosuke: It's only half complete. But with your help, Jaeger, we can finish it soon. Come to the Fifth Division. You'll see.
Jaeger: Alright. I'll head there soon.
Jaeger exited the chat group and let out a long, contented stretch.
"Going out?"
Saitō Furōfushi spoke up suddenly, her voice muffled by the blankets.
Jaeger nodded lightly. "Yeah. Heading to the Fifth Division. Captain Aizen asked to meet me."
"Captain Aizen of the Fifth Division?"
She let out a small snort, half-interested.
"Tch, whatever. Has nothing to do with me. Just don't disturb my sleep again. I'm exhausted from all your… nonsense."
The twin-tailed, eternally youthful-looking woman shot him a suspicious look with one eye half-lidded.
Clearly, she didn't trust Aizen. But then again, she'd been retired from active duty for over a thousand years.
She probably figured that whatever mess Jaeger and the others were wrapped up in, it had nothing to do with her anymore.
She simply tugged the blanket over herself with a soft huff and went back to sleep.
Jaeger chuckled quietly, stepped over, and gently patted her head.
He ran his hand over her soft twin ponytails, prompting a grumble of protest from under the covers. Smiling in amusement, he stepped away and exited the room.
"M-Mr. Jaeger!"
As soon as the door creaked open, a flustered voice greeted him.
Standing outside, Kotetsu Isane—vice-captain of the Fourth Division—immediately bowed, her cheeks flushed red. She didn't dare look him in the eye.
Despite her mature age and high rank, she was still a woman—and not oblivious to the sounds that had come from inside earlier.
She'd been posted outside the whole time, after all. She knew what had gone on, even if she wished she didn't.
Still, what confused her more was her own thoughts. Jaeger… and her captain plus a former captain? The idea of that kind of entanglement made her imagination run wild.
Jaeger smirked knowingly, easily catching the awkward tension in the air.
"You're actually quite adorable, you know," he said casually, eyeing her.
"Tall, long-legged… completely different type of beauty compared to Captain Unohana."
With that, he strolled past her, leaving behind a flustered, speechless Isane.
"C-cute? Me? A beauty…?"
She stared blankly at his retreating back, her mind turning to static.
She had always been self-conscious about her height, her build. She never imagined someone—a man like him—would praise her so directly.
Jaeger didn't open a Garganta like he would in the Pirate World. Instead, he walked the entire way to the Fifth Division barracks.
On the way, he crossed paths with Hitsugaya Tōshirō—bandaged and recovering—and his lieutenant, Matsumoto Rangiku.
Rangiku turned red the moment she saw Jaeger, unable to meet his eyes. She didn't know how to face him after everything.
As for Hitsugaya, his expression soured immediately. But perhaps because he knew Jaeger wasn't an enemy… and because he now knew the truth of Ichimaru Gin's betrayal… he held back.
Still, the bitterness in his eyes was impossible to miss. Jaeger had stolen someone precious to him.
"Yo! Captain Tōshirō!" Jaeger greeted cheerfully.
"Hinamori's great at taking care of people. Don't worry, I'm treating her real well."
"You bastard…!"
Tōshirō's spiritual pressure flared for a moment, his wounds nearly tearing open again as he clenched his fists. But he quickly turned away, biting back any further words.
He knew he couldn't win. Not yet. Not against him.
"Sorry, Jaeger-san…" Rangiku spoke up, voice soft with hesitation.
"But… please don't tease Captain Hitsugaya like that. He's… still just a kid."
Jaeger smiled, unaffected. "Oh? Are you worried about me, Rangiku?"
He leaned in slightly, his voice lowering with a teasing lilt. "I'll be leaving Soul Society soon. Wanna come over for a few days? My house is pretty spacious."
"...No. Forget it."
She turned her head, avoiding his gaze.
Her feelings were tangled. After everything that happened—after confirming Gin's betrayal with her own eyes—she was devastated. Gin had been her everything.
Her anchor. And Jaeger… the man who had held her, touched her, stolen things she'd only ever imagined giving to one man… was now offering her kindness?
She couldn't understand him.
Even if her body responded to him, even if she couldn't deny the connection that had formed… her heart wasn't ready.
Jaeger wasn't offended. He simply nodded with a casual wave. "No worries. We've both got eternity ahead of us. I'll head out first."
She watched his back as he walked away. Rangiku stood in silence, a bitter storm inside her chest.
All I wanted was a simple, happy love. So why…?
Why did Gin betray her?
Why was the first man she ever gave herself to such a playboy?
And why… despite it all… did she still feel drawn to him?
When Jaeger arrived at the Fifth Division, he was greeted by none other than Hinamori Momo.
The girl practically lit up when she saw him, despite trying to play it cool. He hadn't seen her since Soi Fon took her away a few days ago, but it seemed like his absence had left a mark.
Jaeger got close immediately—maybe too close. A kiss on the cheek, a few whispered sweet nothings—and the poor girl's face turned as red as her lieutenant armband.
Too easy.
Jaeger thought to himself, amused. No wonder Aizen had fooled her in the original story. She was too innocent, too earnest. The type who could be swayed with a little affection.
Momo, flustered beyond belief, quickly turned and ran off, practically fleeing down the hallway before even greeting her captain.
Jaeger chuckled and stepped into the office.
Inside, Aizen was sitting calmly, reading through a few papers. When he looked up, he raised an eyebrow at how fast Momo had disappeared.
"Well, well. Seems you're quite popular, Mr. Jaeger," he said with a faint smirk. "It didn't even take long for Hinamori to stop seeing me as her captain."
Jaeger shrugged with a relaxed smile. "She's just a little shy. Anyway—what's this gift you mentioned? I've been curious."
Aizen set aside the papers and leaned back slightly.
"Well, I had originally planned to study it more thoroughly before handing it over to you," he said.
"But since you went ahead and eliminated that meddlesome Transmigrator—Kenji Saitō—you've done me a great favor."
He reached into his coat and pulled out a strange fruit. Its surface swirled with fiery patterns, a deep crimson color that seemed to radiate heat.
"The Logia-type Flame-Flame Fruit," Aizen explained.
"I obtained it during one of our missions to the Pirate World. But in your hands… I believe she'll evolve much faster."
He smiled thinly. "Take it. Consider it thanks—from one monster to another."
