Getting close to Linen was a task assigned to Natasha by Nick Fury.
However, Nick Fury told her to figure out the method on her own.
At first, Natasha planned to pose as an ordinary neighbor to approach Linen—just as she had done with Tony Stark.
But when she read the report about the Paranormal Investigation Agency founded by Linen, and learned that he earned his tuition and living expenses by "exorcising demons" and solving supernatural problems, she immediately changed her plan.
After all, S.H.I.E.L.D. already had a department specializing in supernatural events—and that department had more than enough funding.
Since Linen was short on money, Natasha realized she could use the pretense of "cooperation" to approach him.
So, after investigating the strange case reported by Jessica, she deliberately created this "encounter."
This not only gave her an excuse to get close to Linen but also allowed her to witness his methods firsthand.
Outside the bedroom on the villa's second floor—
"Don't worry, Aunt Lina. Linen will completely solve your daughter's problem!"
Holding the weeping woman's hand, Jessica comforted her softly.
Nearby, seeing Linen preparing to enter the room, Natasha helped Father Randall sit on a chair, then walked over to him and said,
"Linen, right? I'm Natasha from S.H.I.E.L.D."
"The evil spirit possessing the girl is powerful. Father Randall's holy water and cross didn't have any effect. If you need anything, I can assist."
Linen glanced into the room—at the girl whose blood-red eyes glared back at him—and replied calmly,
"No need. Don't enter the room, no matter what happens."
With that, Linen stepped inside.
The moment he entered, the possessed girl's lips twisted into a sinister grin.
Her body slowly rose into the air before she snapped upright and fixed her gaze on him.
"Exorcist?" she hissed.
The words had barely left her mouth when two beams of dark, evil energy shot from her eyes, streaking toward Linen.
"Heh, do you really think you're some kind of Supergirl? Remember to print an 'S' on your shirt next time!"
A shimmering magic shield appeared in front of him, blocking the demonic blast.
Linen raised his right hand, and two chains of magic shot out from the void, instantly wrapping around the evil spirit.
With a sharp pull, he yanked the spirit toward him—then seized it by the throat and slammed it against the wall.
"Look into my eyes!"
With a commanding shout, Linen's Demon Eye ability activated. His pupils turned a glowing gold.
The possessed girl screamed in agony under the gaze of those burning eyes.
Linen's Demon Eye was different from Ghost Rider's Penance Stare.
The Penance Stare judged the guilty, punishing souls according to the weight of their sins—but it was useless against the truly guiltless, such as The Punisher or even Thanos.
Linen's Demon Eye, however, could burn evil spirits directly—or drive ordinary humans into their worst nightmares, frightening them to death.
And when fully awakened, it could even banish a soul straight to Hell.
Outside the room—
Natasha watched as the evil spirit was pinned to the wall, screaming beneath Linen's golden gaze.
She had already considered him dangerous, but now she silently raised his "threat level" even higher.
This ability… wasn't shown in the video.
As she assessed the situation, a gust of freezing wind suddenly swept through the room. Furniture rattled violently and began to float on its own.
Instinctively, Natasha drew her pistol.
But before she could act, Linen's cold voice cut through the chaos—
"Looking for death!"
A burst of exorcism magic exploded from his palm as he pressed it against the girl's forehead, forcibly ripping the evil spirit from her body.
Gripping the writhing phantom by the neck, Linen's hand burst into hellfire.
"Ahhhh!"
The evil spirit screamed in torment as its translucent form began to dissolve, turning into green wisps of smoke that drifted out the window and vanished.
Seeing this, Natasha narrowed her eyes slightly.
Another ability not shown in the video.
This young man named Linen clearly had many secrets.
As the evil spirit vanished, the furniture in the room dropped back to the floor.
Linen exhaled softly, then walked over to the unconscious girl, gently placing her back onto the bed.
He turned toward the door and nodded.
Seeing his signal, the girl's mother rushed in and clutched her daughter, sobbing uncontrollably.
Jessica exchanged a quick glance with Linen, understood immediately, and stepped forward to console the woman.
After all—she still hadn't paid for the exorcism yet.
At the side, Natasha subtly pressed a button in her pocket, recording the entire scene of Linen's exorcism.
Then she approached him with a faint smile.
"That was quite a show," she said. "It's the first time I've seen such a powerful exorcism up close."
"Tell me, was that witchcraft you used just now? Are you… a sorcerer?"
