Three days later, at Fox TV Network's "Mysterious Files" program team.
Because the last incident with Kelly scared the host so much that he resigned overnight, the new host was replaced by long-legged queen Nicole Johnson.
Sitting opposite her, watching her in a tight hip skirt, constantly crossing her legs to show off her perfect figure in places the camera and audience couldn't see, Linen sat on the sofa and answered questions seriously.
What could Linen do?
Linen felt helpless too!
Who knew this dignified, intelligent, elegant big sister would be so bold?
She's seducing me!!!
"Next is the most famous Manderson Hotel video in the United States!~"
As she spoke, Nicole pointed at the large screen, and an old hotel soon appeared before everyone.
"This hotel is located on the banks of the Hudson River in New York. It has an excellent location and beautiful scenery. It receives hundreds of thousands of tourists every year."
"But ever since a guest committed suicide by charcoal burning seven years ago, many people have claimed they could see ghosts wandering the third-floor corridor late at night."
"And over the years, the number of witnesses has exceeded tens of thousands. As a result, the Manderson Hotel's annual tourist numbers have skyrocketed to the millions."
"There are always plenty of people who come wanting to see a ghost for themselves."
At this point, Nicole crossed her legs again, then smiled at Linen and asked, "Mr. Linen, do you think the haunted incident at the Manderson Hotel is real?"
"Fake."
Watching the beautiful legs crossing in front of him, Linen answered neatly, "The so-called haunting rumors at the Manderson Hotel are completely fabricated."
"The reason these rumors exist is because the hotel's founder created an unusual publicity stunt to attract customers."
"And those so-called 'ghosts' wandering around at midnight? They were fooled by stage tricks."
Hearing this, Nicole blinked her beautiful eyes. "Mr. Linen, why are you making such a straightforward judgment?"
"Because I've been there."
Taking a glass of ice water from the table and sipping it, Linen said, "When I was a freshman, I founded the 'Paranormal Investigation Agency' at school. Among the dozens of paranormal cases we investigated, the Manderson Hotel was one of them."
"I lived on that 'haunted' floor for an entire month. I saw three 'wandering ghosts' during that time. And the result was…"
Linen spread his hands. "So I can confidently tell everyone — it's all fake."
As he spoke, Linen took out a CD.
Seeing this, Nicole immediately told the staff to play the contents.
The video displayed Linen exposing the Manderson Hotel's 'haunting.'
As the footage played, the audience was shocked.
Sure enough, it was another publicity stunt. Ever since Linen joined "Mysterious Files" as a consultant, every episode revealed that several famous haunted places were fake!
On a streetlamp in New York City.
Jessica Drew, wearing a black and red spider-suit, watched "Mysterious Files" playing on a store's big screen.
She was surprised.
"My god, this universe is way more exciting than mine. I didn't expect there to be ghosts!"
As Jessica squatted on the streetlamp watching, she soon saw the host bring a physicist onto the stage.
Watching the physicist directly demonstrate many so-called "ghost tricks" in front of Linen — "America's top psychic" — the audience was stunned.
Eventually, the physicist declared that Linen's identity as a psychic was a lie.
There is only science in this world; there are no real ghosts.
Having been absorbed in the show for a long time, Jessica couldn't help worrying about Linen, the "psychic."
At the same time, she was also curious whether this Linen, who seemed only two or three years older than her, was actually psychic.
Meanwhile, in Tony Stark's villa—
Tony Stark sat cross-legged, savoring fine wine and watching TV, looking completely relaxed.
Pepper walked over barefoot and sat beside him, asking curiously, "Aren't you and Linen friends? Why don't I see any worry on your face?"
"You know, if Linen can't handle this, his reputation could be destroyed."
"Tony, this doesn't match your usual concern for him."
Tony leaned back on the sofa and shrugged. "Of course I'm not worried."
"Because I know Linen well. He's really capable. I still can't forget that scene in the park — Linen summoned that female ghost right in front of Natasha and me."
"Later, in the cabin in the suburbs, I saw dozens of hands from hell drag that blood slave straight into the underworld!"
"Oh my god… that scene was unbelievable. Even Hollywood movies aren't that intense!"
Hearing Tony say this, Pepper looked at the screen with curiosity.
Although a bit scared, she still wanted to see what ghosts looked like.
She was simply too curious!
Stage scene.
Watching the physicist's magic tricks and the 'ghosts' created by stage lighting effects, Linen leaned back in his chair and clapped with a smile.
He looked just like a regular audience member — no one would guess he was the one being challenged!
That's right.
After all, a lion might go all out against an old tiger, but if the lion takes things seriously and treats an ant like an opponent… the ant loses the moment it thinks it holds the truth.
If not for his studio's business, Linen wouldn't even bother debating these people.
Believe it or not!
Seeing Linen clap calmly, even enjoying the magic tricks, the physicist looked confused.
Didn't he just expose Linen's "fraud" in front of hundreds of live audience members and hundreds of thousands of viewers?
Shouldn't Linen be panicking or making excuses?
He had even prepared for Linen to sweat nervously and flee.
But from beginning to end, Linen watched him calmly — even applauding his "debunking" skills.
This was completely unexpected!
"Mr. Linen, don't you have anything to say now?"
Looking at Linen with burning eyes, Elvin Loggins asked seriously.
"Oh, wonderful magic, Mr. Elvin. If you hadn't chosen physics, you might be as famous as David — and become a very powerful magician!"
