Chapter 136 - Chapter 136: An Uninvited Guest Between Uncle and Nephew

A golden glow quietly emanated from the palm covering the old man's wound. This glow seeped into the old man's body, quickly beginning to repair the injuries within him. His damaged internal organs and severe internal bleeding rapidly healed, leaving only the bullet preserved in his body.

This was to prepare for the hospital's examination, as someone in the nearby crowd had already called for an ambulance. If the ambulance arrived and discovered the old man's unusual condition, it might very likely lead some people to suspect his true identity.

At the same time, it wouldn't be a good thing for the old man either.

The old man, who had been losing consciousness, gradually woke up, though he still seemed confused about the situation.

"What happened to me? I remember that guy shot me?"

"It seems you're very lucky; the bullet didn't hit any vital organs." Zhou Yi feigned a look of relief, but his words made the old man very curious.

"I was shot, that's strange? I feel much better than before I was shot."

"Your body is very healthy, sir. This minor injury doesn't seem to pose any major problems for you. However, you'd better still go to the hospital."

Zhou Yi was still verbally comforting the old man when he suddenly felt someone rush towards him quickly, roughly grabbing his shoulder.

"What are you doing to my uncle? You bastard?" This was a seemingly ordinary young man, but his temper appeared to be rather volatile, as he directly attacked Zhou Yi without any reason.

A fist, whistling through the air, came directly towards Zhou Yi's back, with a force far exceeding what a normal person could withstand. It was almost certain that a normal person hit like this, even if they didn't die, would likely end up in the hospital with the old man on the ground for some time.

So, in response, Zhou Yi merely raised an eyebrow and reached out to press down on the young man's shoulder behind him. His strength was far more terrifying than the young man's behind him; as soon as he held him, he completely lost the ability to move.

"Young man, being too impulsive can lead to very serious consequences."

Golden light flickered in his pupils, making this impulsive young man instantly lose the courage to resist. His unique ability allowed him to perceive things that ordinary people couldn't, and in his perception, the person before him didn't seem like a person at all, but rather something as profound and terrifying as a bottomless abyss.

This sensory stimulation not only made him lose his courage but also rendered him unable to speak. This situation was very awkward, and some people even began to whisper about him, as his rigid posture was truly too strange.

It wasn't until the old man's voice came from behind him that the young man returned to normal.

"Peter, what are you doing? This is my savior."

"Uncle Ben, how are you? Oh my God, you've been shot?" The young man named Peter, feeling the invisible pressure on him disappear, immediately rushed to the old man's side. He looked at the old man's blood-stained shirt and instantly became panicked, an unnamable anger beginning to rise within him.

"Who did it? Who shot you!"

"It's not important, Peter!" The old man's tone was high, appearing particularly angry. "Right now, what you should do most is apologize to this gentleman. Don't think I didn't see what you just did. You were swinging your fists and using violence against a kind stranger. I don't remember Aunt May and I teaching you this way."

Before this, the young man, who was still arguing with the old man, would never have allowed the old man to scold him like this. Although he wouldn't physically fight the old man, talking back would have been inevitable. However, the old man's recent ordeal had completely frightened him, and he had no such thoughts now.

"I'm sorry, sir. I didn't know you saved my uncle. I am very sorry for my rude behavior just now."

Zhou Yi looked at the young man named Peter with a profound gaze, and only spoke after making the young man feel a bit unnerved: "Remember, young man. Having power is a good thing, but abusing power will only lead to the opposite result."

"What?" Peter looked a bit confused by these words, but inwardly, he began to grow wary. He felt that his biggest secret seemed to have been seen through.

Zhou Yi smiled and patted his shoulder, but didn't say anything more to him. He believed the young man understood his meaning.

"Sir, the ambulance and Police cars have arrived. But please forgive me, I'm not very keen on dealing with these Police officers. My daughter is still waiting to go home with me. Here is my business card; if you need any help, you can contact me using the information on it."

Pointing to the flashing Police cars rushing towards them, Zhou Yi handed a business card to the young man and simultaneously spoke to the injured old man.

The old man quickly grasped his hand and said, "Thank you, sir. You are a kind person. Although I don't know what you did, I can feel that you saved my Life Qi. My name is Ben, Ben Parker. If possible, I hope you can accept my gratitude. I know it might not be important to you, as you seem to be a person of standing. But I still hope you can accept this old fellow's request."

Ben Parker's attitude was so sincere that Zhou Yi found it difficult to refuse. He could only pat the old man's hand and say,

"There will be such an opportunity, Mr. Parker. But your most important task now is to recover from your injuries, remember. If you have any problems, you can contact me through this. But now, I really must go."

With that, he stood up and walked towards his car. Just as he said, he really didn't want to meet the Police, because if the media discovered him, he might end up on the front page of various tabloids first thing tomorrow morning. He wasn't Tony, who could treat this as his own pleasure.

In his car, Airesha had been watching the entire process. Seeing Zhou Yi return, she even put down the pastry in her hand and asked him, puzzled,

"Daddy, why didn't you teach that bad guy who hit you a lesson, just like that big bad guy you dealt with at first?"

The long period of being frozen had kept her thinking at a six or seven-year-old level. She found it hard to distinguish right from wrong, and her perception of the outside World was mostly based on her first impressions. So, in her Worldview, anyone who raised a fist against her father was not a good person. She even hoped her father would severely punish that young man.

For a Child, this is a very long cognitive process. They need correction from parents and various other sources to refine their simple Worldview. And this is precisely the direction Zhou Yi needs to work on now.

He gently pinched the little girl's puffed-up cheek and comforted her with a smile: "Darling, you need to know that not everyone is like that bad guy from the beginning.

The latter was just concerned about his family; he mistook me for the one who hurt his uncle. So no matter how rude his actions were, as long as they didn't harm me, they can be forgiven. Of course, sometimes a small lesson can be given appropriately. I will teach you this later."

"Can you teach me? The way you hit them just now?" Airesha heard this, actively filtering out the educational components in between, and instead focused on a strange point. It must be said, this point was almost identical to Charisse; they are both the type who don't readily accept education.

"If you want to learn, I'll teach you later. But you can't complain, okay!" Zhou Yi promised, rubbing Airesha's little head. And Airesha, hearing this, immediately guaranteed,

"Absolutely not!"

Zhou Yi smiled; he experienced a kind of paternal pleasure. Perhaps, as Logan said, he really should consider marriage. But thinking of Jean, who was still asleep, he immediately became dispirited again.

Airesha also seemed to sense Zhou Yi's mood and quieted down. They drove silently like this the whole way, and by the time they arrived home, Airesha had fallen into a deep sleep.

Gently carrying the Little fellow into the house, Zhou Yi found that Serana had actually been waiting for them. And it seemed she had something to say.

She first took the soundly sleeping Airesha, then, while helping Zhou Yi take off his suit, she whispered in his ear,

"Master, two ladies have come to visit you. They said they have something to discuss with you. Considering their identities, I've asked them to wait for your return in the study for now."

"Two ladies, are they people I know?" Hearing that someone had come to visit him, Zhou Yi immediately felt curious. He glanced in the direction of the study, and the images of the two women immediately entered his sight.

Both women were Asian, like him. One was wearing a black ladies' suit, with her black hair neatly tied in a ponytail. She sat upright in a chair, eyes slightly closed, her cold and beautiful face devoid of any expression, almost like an exquisite statue. It was clear that she was a very strict person, almost to a harsh degree even with herself.

The other person, however, was her exact opposite.

A seductive, beautiful face constantly wore an expression of nonchalance, and the tight-fitting clothes she wore were revealing and alluring, perfectly highlighting her impressive figure and almost perfect long legs. And she clearly had a lot of experience in showcasing herself, and also knew exactly where her advantages lay.

So she directly propped her leg on the chair, while playfully twirling her dark purple hair, which resembled silk, and seemingly unintentionally let her fingers roam over her body. She seemed to have noticed Zhou Yi's gaze and was specifically trying to entice him.

Zhou Yi knew both of these people, but to say they were close was absolutely impossible. Because before, they were in a state of opposition. However, he still wanted to know why these two people had come to find him.

"Take Airesha to rest. Since she's already asleep, don't wake her up yet. Just get some warm Water to wipe her clean." After a brief instruction, Zhou Yi walked towards the study.

And Serana obediently took care of Airesha; their relationship was very subtle. So sometimes Zhou Yi would deliberately create some alone time for them.

As for now, he needed to deal with the two uninvited guests.

Stryker's bodyguards, Psylocke and Yuriko, who should have been at the Mutant school.
