Chapter 177 - Chapter 177: The Parker Family's Open and Covert Struggles

Finally, it was the weekend, which all students loved. Mr. Zhou had also prepared everything early, as agreed, just waiting for his two Little Princesses to finish washing up and changing clothes before they could set off.

They were going to visit Peter Parker's uncle and enjoy a sumptuous lunch there. Since he had already agreed to Peter Parker, Mr. Zhou naturally had no reason to break his promise. Moreover, he was very interested in Spider-Man, who was active in New York City.

Being able to explore Spider-Man's family background was indeed a good pastime for him.

And if possible, bringing Spider-Man under his command was not out of the question. No one would complain about having too many capable people under them; they would always only complain about too few. Mr. Zhou was no exception.

Soon, the two Little fellows came out accompanied by Aida. Because Serana could not be active in daylight, Aida was now responsible for handling the household affairs during the day. Of course, Serana was nominally the head of the house, and Aida could at most be considered an assistant. This was the Vampire lady's bottom line, which absolutely no one was allowed to touch.

Today, the two Little fellows were not wearing overly formal clothes. Aida observed very carefully and could see that Peter's family was not wealthy. If they dressed too formally, it might sometimes make the Master feel awkward. So, she dressed the two Little girls quite casually. Knitted sweaters and short skirts, paired with over-the-knee thick cotton socks and exquisite calfskin shoes, highlighted the two Little girls' delicate cuteness without making them seem too casual.

For a family dinner, this attire was just right. And Mr. Zhou was much easier to dress than the two Little girls. Aida only prepared a light-colored casual suit for him, which was enough to solve the problem.

However, at the last minute, Aida was still a little worried. She adjusted Mr. Zhou's tie and asked.

"Boss, do you really not want me to go with you?"

"It's just an ordinary family dinner, you don't need to be so worried!" Mr. Zhou looked at Aida strangely, not understanding why she had such a thought.

"I know you are a Dawn Knight, fearless. But Boss, that young Mr. Parker also seems extraordinary. I think his skills are better than mine. I'm not worried about your safety, but I can't rest assured about Shirley and the others!"

As Mr. Zhou's assistant, he didn't worry about his Boss but worried about his Boss's daughters. This was a rather strange phenomenon, but Mr. Zhou felt there was nothing wrong with it. Aida caring about Shirley and the others meant she had invested emotions. And as long as emotions were invested, it wouldn't be too easy to let go.

In the end, she could only integrate into Mr. Zhou's circle and become a loyal follower.

"Don't worry, I know his true identity. There won't be any danger." Patting Aida's hand, Mr. Zhou responded with a smile to her concern.

Aida, however, rolled her eyes at him, calmly withdrew her hand, and playfully scolded.

"Boss, the scope of my work for you shouldn't include being flirted with by you!"

"Sorry, sorry. Purely a matter of habit, a matter of habit."

Mr. Zhou had to admit his mistake; he had indeed mistaken Aida for Serana just now. He was already accustomed to Serana tidying his clothes, so when Aida was adjusting his tie, he subconsciously made such a gesture.

"Perhaps I should ask for more benefits, this is really too much of a disadvantage. Isn't it?" Aida made a resentful expression, which immediately made Mr. Zhou feel greatly pressured.

"You decide, you don't need to ask me."

Leaving that sentence, he pulled the two children and got directly into the car. The resentful Aida made him feel uncomfortable all over. Facing the fairy-like Aida, he still decided to leave as the best option. Because if it continued like this, he was really worried that he wouldn't be able to control himself and would do something he shouldn't.

Aida said nothing more; she just watched Mr. Zhou leave silently. And not until Mr. Zhou disappeared from her sight, a figure suddenly appeared beside her in a flickering purple glow.

"Isn't what you're doing a bit out of line? This isn't what we agreed upon."

"I'm not as stupid as you lot. I wouldn't miss such a good opportunity. Women, if they don't use their advantages, they are simply too foolish."

Aida glanced at her, smiling faintly. Her words were full of a victor's disdain and mockery. And that figure was clearly a bit impatient, gritting her teeth and saying.

"Don't be too smug, he hasn't completely trusted you. You know you're not someone others can trust. Only I am on his side."

"He will accept me, as long as I give enough. As for you, a woman without femininity, truly, ha ha!"

Aida ended their conversation with a laugh. She turned and left, leaving only a trembling Psylocke standing in place. After a long while, Yuriko walked over.

"You shouldn't argue with her, you should know you can't win against her."

"If I don't contend now, it will be too late. I am not like you." Psylocke shook her head. "I know what she wants. For you, it might not be a problem, but for me, it's too important. I must seize this opportunity."

"I'm just worried you'll make a mistake. Having * * is not the problem, the problem is doing foolish things because of * *."

"Don't worry, I'm not stupid. This is just a competition between women!" Psylocke snorted and disappeared from the spot. Yuriko, however, quietly sighed.

She looked at her unchanging hands, a look of great confusion in her eyes. For an Eternity of youth, was it really necessary to go to such lengths?

Inheriting Logan's immortal body, she completely didn't understand why these two women could openly and secretly contend, just like a person who had never been hungry couldn't imagine the pain of famine. She wouldn't understand what eternal youth meant, let alone know to what extent these two women could go for it.

Perhaps, this could also be considered her own small happiness. A rigid woman like her was indeed not suitable to get involved in this kind of struggle.

For Aida and the others, this was a very important thing, but for Mr. Zhou, it was just an insignificant interlude. He had no idea about the story between these two women. At this moment, he was simply driving towards the address provided by Peter Parker.

There was still some time until noon, and Mr. Zhou finally found the Parker family's residence after much effort. Frankly, the Parker family's house didn't look very good; it was an old house with some years on it. The wooden house, weathered by long years, had a dim feeling.

However, although the house's appearance was indeed not great, the Master still diligently tidied it. Mr. Zhou noticed that the lawn and fence were neatly trimmed, and some damaged parts of the house were also beautifully repaired.

This meant that the Master was a diligent and optimistic person, especially compared to the messy neighbors around, this difference in the small environment added a lot of luster to the Master.

Poverty is not terrible; what is terrible is laziness and self-pity. In this regard, the Parker family gave a good first impression.

Standing in front of Peter Parker's house, Mr. Zhou first tidied the clothes of the two Little fellows, then pulled at his own collar. After confirming that there was nothing impolite, he knocked on the Parker family's door.

Soon, there was movement from behind the door.

Then the door was pulled open, and a neatly dressed Peter Parker appeared behind the door.

"Welcome, Mr. Zhou. My uncle has been talking about it for a long time. They started preparing for today's lunch early this morning."

"Sorry, it's really a bit embarrassing to trouble you so much. This small gift is a small token of my respect!" Mr. Zhou said with a smile, handing over the gift for his first visit.

As an invited guest, visiting someone empty-handed was really inexcusable. But if you gave a gift, it couldn't be too expensive, because it would make the Master feel awkward. Especially at such a family dinner. So Mr. Zhou finally only brought two ordinary items as gifts.

One was a set of ordinary ceramic tea ware, exquisite but not expensive. The second was a small pastry, something Serana learned to make herself, but the taste was surprisingly good. It was hard to imagine that a Vampire who couldn't eat such things would have such a talent. However, for the two children, this might be Serana's charm.

Peter took the gift and stepped aside to invite Mr. Zhou and the others in. At this time, he also saw the two girls behind Mr. Zhou. Ignoring the pile of things he was holding, he bent down and said with a kind smile.

"Hey, hello there. Two lovely Little Angels."

Airesha at this moment shyly grabbed Mr. Zhou's sleeve, while Shirley responded very freely.

"Hello, sir. I'm Shirley, nice to meet you!"

"I'm also very happy to meet you, and this shy Little Princess!" Peter also responded to Shirley, who was like a Little adult. Just then, an Old woman's voice came over.

"Peter, who's here?"

"It's Mr. Zhou, Aunt May. Our guests have arrived!" Peter led Mr. Zhou into the living room, responding loudly as he walked.

Soon, a robust Old man walked quickly over. Mr. Zhou recognized him at a glance, Ben Parker. The Old man he had saved.

Ben Parker's face immediately broke into a hearty smile when he saw Mr. Zhou. He first vigorously wiped his hands on his apron, then extended his hand and said loudly.

"Welcome, Mr. Zhou. My wife and I have been wondering when we could repay your life-saving kindness, and finally, this Old fellow has waited for it."

"You are too polite, Mr. Parker. That was just what I should do." Mr. Zhou shook his hand, saying politely. He wouldn't admit to anything, even if he had really tampered with things.

"Anyway, I have to thank you, sir. Without you, I really don't know what would have happened. Oh, and there are two lovely Young Misses here, who are they?" Parker also saw the two girls at this time. As an Old man, he naturally loved children very much, so he quickly asked.

"These are my daughters, Shirley and Airesha. Shirley, Airesha, say hello to Mr. Parker!"

"Hello, sir! It's nice to meet you!" The two Little girls' greetings made Old Parker almost grin from ear to ear. He truly loved these two children so much that he said to Mr. Zhou without any formality.

"Oh, your two daughters are truly adorable. I've always told my wife that I want Peter to get married soon and have a Child. But as you can see, Peter himself is like a Child, he doesn't give me any peace of mind."

"Uncle!" Being exposed by his uncle was not a happy thing, Peter could only complain with a bitter face.
