The whispers continued under the heavy footsteps that echoed in the market. Various merchants and civilians made way for the towering figure. Some parents even grabbed their children and hid away in the buildings to keep them out of sight.
Even still, the stranger kept walking. The metal helmet turned side to side, as if observing everything there was to be seen with a cautious eye.
What chilled the people was how different the stranger looked. Even if the armor looked strange, the height of the stranger was already staggering. Chun Yul, head of the Saber Sect, would look like a normal adult compared to this 3 meter tall stranger. What's more, they held a strange looking sword that was sheathed to their arm instead of on their hip or back.
Covering the sheath was a metal plate, almost looking like a kite with rather sharp looking edges. And then, the limbs and head.
Even if they were called the Demon Cult, the people knew well that they were not actually demon worshipers. If anything, their name signified their defiance towards the norms of Murim. What walked amongst them now, though, how could it not be called a demon?
With feet that looked closer to an animals hind legs, 3 fingered hands instead of the normal 4 fingers normally seen. What's more, the long, rabbit like ears that draped from the top of the black metal that covered the stranger's head. They draped down like hair, melting to the middle back at an impossible length.
Most thought this was simply aesthetic. However, once they caught sight of the white fur and fleshy inners of the ears, they knew well that it was real.
