Leaving the library and returning to my room so I can get some sleep before going in the morning. As I entered, I noticed Tina leaning against the wall, holding her legs. "Why are you still awake?" I asked. She looked up and sighed in relief before speaking. "I had thought you left me here." She said shyly as I chuckled.
"I wouldn't do that, this place isn't safe for the living. There is no way I would do that, not after bringing you back." I said, crawling into bed and lying down as she moved next to me and lay her head on my arm as she wrapped her legs around mine and scooted closer. Finally resting her head on my shoulder, she placed a hand on my chest.
She was scared of me leaving. I could see this could become a problem later when I have to go to the Demon Lords' Empire. Tina fell asleep pretty quickly; she must have been worn out from stress when I got out of bed. I sighed and closed my eyes. I will have to deal with that later. But right now I needed sleep.
Waking up five hours later to the movement of Tina, she kissed me before getting up. "What are we doing today?" She asked, making me smirk. "I have a mission to finish, and I wanted to test out a prototype for a power system. We will be leaving this city today." I said Getting up and getting clothes on.
Last night, I had already laid out how I wanted to use the Omni Orb. To use it, I had to convert the magic power into mechanical power, then into electric power. Doing this would be far easier than me trying to tap the magical power into electrical power, since I have yet to find a way to do so.
Changing the inside of two new drones, with a compartment for the Omni Orb power cell. Both power cells had liquid coolant inside, but one had Gylphs for temperature reduction. I wanted to see if a normal one had the same temp or if the Gylph one was better. This mechanical power issue is the heat it generates.
If I wanted to use it, I had to come up with a way to avoid frying the Orb. So I decided to keep the mechanical system, and the Orb encased in a unit that can be ejected from the drone in case it overheats. This helps with replacement also. Looking at the Orb connected to four rings, once the orb powers up, it moves the rings and, in turn, moves a coil system the unit is attached to.
The coil system powers the battery, storing a part of the energy while also powering the system. That way, if the Orb goes out, the battery can serve as backup or help power in emergencies. Leaving the bedroom with Tina, as Serpatina and the others waited outside my room.
"Serpatina, where is the Oasis of Spiritual Awakening?" I asked her to speak. "It's about two days east of here." She told me that it would take me about a week and a half before leaving here. I nodded as I put away the Sphinxes and the Guardians.
"You will guide us there," I said, making her nod as we left the pyramid. I kept the drones on guard for the most part, leaving only two dozen with us. Summoning the dune buggy, Tina sat in the passenger seat, and Serpatina looked confused as I spoke. "Take a seat in the back." She nodded and got up as I summoned the two new drone types and placed the two orbs.
Watching the drones power up and inspecting their systems, what shocked me was that the Orb had a higher power output than I expected. I may need to redesign the drones. With this output, I can put more of a strain on the drones without worrying about energy, ordering them to follow us.
I wanted to see if they could keep up with us at the drones' maximum speed, pushing the thermal controls on the orbs' casings and making our way to the east gate of the city, exiting as it opened. "Serpatina, we won't be returning here," I said, shocking her.
"Why, master?!" She yelled out as I laughed. "Because I have to kill Azel," I said, making her freeze. "You are the one who wants to fight, the demon lord." She said, making me stop as I looked back. "What do you mean by that? How do you know I have beef with him?" I asked her.
"A few weeks ago, the world gave off signs of a Legendary rank being brought into this world. So all the Legendary ranks showed up in the Queendom of Nya, to find out why. Azel also showed up along with his demons." She said, making me nod. It had to be when I made my first Legendary rank ammo. So it wouldn't be odd for Azel to know about the Divine ammo now; I don't think the Legendary rank does.
As I didn't witness any worldly phenomenon. While making it, it didn't matter. From what I read about him, he likes it when people come to him. His ego is bigger than mine, as I wouldn't just sit around and wait for people to roll up on me. But then again, he has sat on his throne for tens of thousands of years; to him, it's all a game now.
Turning around as I started to drive and speak. "Did he say anything else?" I said, and she said something that shocked me. "He said the person he is holding is pregnant and is in a deep sleep." Her words made me slam on the brakes as I quickly turned around. "You aren't lying, are you?" I asked, making her jump out of my enthusiasm.
"I am telling the truth, I swear." She said, making me turn around after looking her in the eyes. So she is pregnant, I don't think he would lie, that wasn't the personality I got from him or what I read about him. Smiling as I started to drive again, Tina looked at me, wondering what the two of them were talking about. But she didn't want to overstep her lane.
Driving off into the desert with a broad grin on my face, it was a good day. Now I need to get her back. Looking at the two new drones' systems, I noticed that the Glyph one is about 15 degrees cooler right now. So far, the Glyph one looks better, but let's see how it holds up if we increase the speed.
Picking up speed as the drones tried to keep up with me, I noticed the two new ones were closer to the dune buggy than the older ones. Interesting, I thought to myself as we sped off.
