Inside, Luka observed everything — scientists hard at work, interns learning, the hum of technology everywhere.
He reached the main office with John, right as the meeting was about to begin.
Sitting in the owner's chair, he said,
> "Alright, let's get started. Tell me what's bothering you."
One man raised his hand.
> "Sir, my name's Noah. I'm the head scientist of the Research Division. We've got a problem — no funding and barely any competent staff left. Most of them quit."
Luka thought for a moment.
> "How much do you need? And would you accept an intern to assist you?"
Noah nodded.
"We'd need about 2.5 million dollars. And yes, we'd gladly take a responsible intern."
"Perfect. Consider it done. John, send the money to the research department."
The meeting ended, but Luka was exhausted.
> "John, send the money they asked for — and remember, most of these people can't be trusted. Only Noah. Also, call Peter and Gwen, see if they're interested in interning here."
Leaving Blackgate Enterprise, Luka returned home to get ready.
