Chapter 9 - Uninvited Guest

After returning.

Toji sat side by side with Sae, engaging in conversation.

"Really? I'd like that."

"Then it's settled. I'll drive, so we just need to arrange a rental."

Toji knew how to drive, but he didn't own a car. He never had a reason to drive in the first place, only using public transport.

Zenin Sae also didn't own a car for the same reason, as it cost money.

"Sae. Even if we can't help it this time, maybe we should get a car soon?"

"Huh? Because of Megumi?"

"Not really, just… I was thinking it might be good to have a car soon."

"It wouldn't be bad for me, Toji. But will you use a car? Isn't it only a few times a year at most?"

"That's true."

Toji nodded in agreement. His wife's words were perfectly correct.

"Then there's no real need to buy a car. Even when my water broke, Toji carried me and ran all the way to the hospital, didn't you? I was so flustered then…"

Sae smiled, recalling the past.

Near the end of her pregnancy.

She recalled Toji holding her and soaring through the sky.

It was then that Sae truly understood the extent of Toji's power, and what kind of person he was.

Of course, she didn't know his detailed past because he was reluctant to speak of it, and she didn't want to know either.

Just that Toji had superhuman abilities and that he loved her. If she knew those two things, she had nothing more to wish for.

"Ah… now that you mention it, that did happen."

Toji scratched his head and mumbled. The memory of one of the few crises in his life was too vivid.

Probably, even if time passed, he wouldn't forget, even if he contracted a disease that made him lose his memories.

"Anyway, forget the car. If it's too much trouble to get around, just buy a motorcycle or something."

"I'll think about it."

"Yeah. More importantly, Fukuoka. When did I go there? I think I went once a long time ago, but the memory is very faint."

"Me too."

Toji and Sae each recalled different memories.

Sae remembered a trip with friends. Toji, an assassination where he impaled a certain sorcerer's head with the Split Soul Katana.

"Ah. I've made the reservation, so we'll depart tomorrow. It's only about two nights and three days, so you can pack lightly."

"Really? Got it. Toji, will you help a bit too?"

"Yeah."

A trip, huh. Toji blinked and stood up from the sofa.

After packing, I stepped out of the hotel.

Toji would come to pick me up soon.

The two Koyanskayas split the luggage between them.

"Master. Your expression doesn't look good, is something wrong?"

Assassin, Light Koyanskaya, asked. Thanks to the height difference, her generously open underbust cutout was clearly visible.

"Uh. Something suddenly came to mind."

"May I ask what that is? And please look at my eyes, not my chest. While I'm delighted, you know it's impolite, don't you?"

"Ahem! My apologies."

After a light cough, I revealed my concern.

"Actually, I'm worried about a very strange villain."

"A strange villain? Do you mean the one you mentioned before...?"

"Yeah. That's right, the guy who walks around with stitches on his head."

The mastermind of the Shibuya Incident, the character who drove the latter half of the story to chaos.

The one who simultaneously drove both fans and anti-fans insane: Kenjaku.

Due to his nature, Kenjaku's exact location was unknown and still is. That was the biggest problem.

A jujutsu that allows him to switch to other people's bodies. I know he used that power to become a woman and give birth to the protagonist, but…

After that, the problem was not knowing whose body he had switched to.

'I should have caught him when he was a woman.'

When he gave birth to the protagonist, Itadori Yuji, I should have caught him then, but the timing of my own birth wasn't good.

There was a precise opportunity, but I was younger then, because I was a baby.

Because of that, Kenjaku couldn't be caught, and ultimately, he escaped. Even now, thinking about it, it's always regrettable.

"His name was probably… Kenjaku, right? You have to catch him?"

"If we don't catch him, it'll turn into a mess. I told you before, didn't I?"

"Of course, I remember it well. However, it's still time for you to strengthen your power."

That was true. While Koyanskaya alone was enough to defeat a thousand, it was better to be safer.

"First, I'll prioritize increasing my cost. I should be able to summon at least four."

"You've thought well. There's a crisis, but it's not urgent, so you can advance slowly, little by little."

Assassin squatted in front of me and smiled. Her large breasts swayed before my eyes.

Thanks to that, my worries disappeared, and my mind was at ease. My head felt completely empty.

"Hold on a moment. Will you stop subtly pretending to comfort and then seducing Master? If you're going to do that, do it in the hotel room…"

Dark Koyanskaya, Foreigner, muttered, glaring. She looked a bit displeased.

"Honestly. I don't know why you've become so strict. If you were the same me, wouldn't you know how I feel?"

"It's because I know that I'm stopping you. Child-draining is only permitted in R-18 doujinshi."

"Wait. Master is an adult, isn't he?"

"The problem is that the body is young. Anyway, stop nitpicking…"

The two Koyanskayas conversed amicably. They were only pretending to argue.

The atmosphere was gentle, and their voices were calm. It seemed they were doing that to relieve boredom and pass the time.

"Sorry, looks like you've been waiting long?"

Just then, Toji approached from afar. A woman and a child were with him.

'It's just like the anime.'

In terms of cuts, it was just one. In terms of sentences, one sentence.

His appearance was brief, but it was so impressive that the memory was vivid. Thanks to that, I recognized him at a glance.

"Ah, hello. You're Toji-san's wife, right? Nice to meet you."

"Oh my. A child? You're cute and well-mannered too."

As I bowed first, the woman also met my gaze. It was the typical look of a parent regarding a child.

"Nice to meet you. My name is Zenin Sae. You're very sensible."

"Thank you. These are my guardians, they're twins. Both of them are from Russia and can't speak Japanese. Please understand."

After contemplating how to introduce them, I told a lie, as it felt more comfortable this way.

"Oh, really? Then it can't be helped. Please take care of us."

Zenin Sae bowed, looking at the two Koyanskayas. It was a polite greeting.

Naturally, both Koyanskayas also bowed. Only Toji, who was suddenly looking dumbfounded, seemed out of place.

"Ah. Right. Then let's depart."

"Please take care of us."

We immediately traveled by means of transportation, heading towards our destination, the Fukuoka hotel.

I heard it's a hotel with a sauna, so I'm looking forward to it. I'll get to sweat a bit after a long time.

'Her eyes seem drawn.'

Sae looked at the two Foxes even while traveling, appearing half-entranced.

"Stop. It's rude to stare too much, you know?"

Toji personally stepped forward and covered her eyes. Isn't it usually the other way around?

The two Koyanskayas didn't care whether Sae looked or not, and the gazes of other humans were the same.

"Oh, by the way. Was that new medicine also provided by your sisters?"

Amidst the pleasant atmosphere, Sae, who was sitting next to me, looked at me and asked.

Was it because we traveled by plane? My ears felt a bit muffled.

"Yes, that's right."

I nodded obediently. Since I had purified and processed Ibuki-doji's divine blood, it wasn't a false statement.

"Thank you very much. I can't express how grateful I am to your sisters for helping me recover so well."

"We're happy that you're healthy too. However, it wasn't purely out of goodwill."

"Yeah, I heard it's a medicine that still needs clinical trials, so it required testing. Still, thank you."

Sae looked at me and Koyanskaya, endlessly expressing gratitude. It was almost to the point of being overwhelming.

Still, because I fully understood, I accepted it with a good heart. Most people would be like that after almost dying and coming back to life.

On the other hand, Toji stared at us with a strange look. It was a complex gaze, as if savoring memories or overcoming bitterness.

'The atmosphere is good.'

It was heartwarming and warm. Even the baby Sae was holding was quietly asleep.

'That's the 'Furu-be wrapper'… no, it's Megumi.'

I shook my head for a moment and corrected my thoughts. I couldn't call a real baby a 'Furu-be wrapper'.

Even if he had a tendency to press the self-destruct button when cornered, and even if he caused a big mess because of it.

'This… I can't just leave him be, can I?'

While I was pondering alone, Foreigner initiated telepathy.

Telepathy, mind-communication, or a phone call directly into the head.

There might be various other examples, but I understood it as roughly that feeling.

─Master.

Foreigner's voice echoed in my mind.

Servant and Master. When the two form a contract, they can converse in their minds like this.

─Yes. What is it?

─Your expression seemed serious when looking at the baby; did it perhaps bother you?

─I'm worried. His future isn't very good.

The original Fushiguro Megumi, currently Zenin Megumi, couldn't fully utilize his abilities.

I don't know what happened after the original story, but within the original story, at least until the ending, it was like that.

'Dog. Toad. Nue. Snake. Elephant. Rabbit. Was that all?'

The Ten Shadows Technique. It's a jujutsu that controls ten shikigami, but he couldn't control four of them.

One of them was Mahoraga, a shikigami that made a significant contribution to the nickname 'Furu-be wrapper'.

─If it weighs on your mind, should I train him? Or you could have that man, Zenin Toji, do it.

─I'll think about that too.

Even if the current situation was different from the main story, he was destined to live as a sorcerer. There was no harm in increasing his power.

─Attention, passengers.

While I was thinking, we arrived in Fukuoka. It's fast because it's a plane.

─Master. Let's disembark.

The two Koyanskayas sent telepathy simultaneously. I should get off.

"Aah…!"

I didn't have to carry luggage, and I just had to follow the path. It was convenient in many ways.

Moreover, Toji was covering the expenses, so my wallet felt full. It was an excellent free trip.

Perhaps that's why, even after arriving at the hotel, my mind felt light.

Since I was a child, I couldn't stay in the sauna for long, but even a taste of it was satisfying enough.

"Well then, good night."

"Okay. You sleep well too. See you again tomorrow?"

In front of the rooms lined up, we and the Zenin family entered our respective rooms.

The room was a twin room. Since there were two beds, two of them had to share one.

"Master?"

"Whose bed will you choose?"

The two Koyanskayas asked, their eyes sparkling. Both were very eager to draw me to their side.

"The two of you share one bed. Today, I just want to sleep without breasts."

"Hmph."

Ultimately, according to my mood, I banished the two Koyanskayas. I used the bed alone.

'This is the life.'

Lying comfortably alone, I yawned. Since I'd be going out early in the morning, I should get some sleep for a bit.

Ding-dong. Immediately after closing my eyes, someone rang our room's doorbell.

Room service? Or did they mistake something?

"Yes. Please wait a moment."

The Assassin, who had been sighing, stepped forward first and opened the door. Foreigner was calmly observing the situation.

Who was it? As I got up, the door opened just then.

'I can't see anyone?'

By the presence, someone was definitely there, but I couldn't see their figure. Were they short?

"Who is it? Room service?"

"And who are you, sticking with Toji-kun?"
