Seeing this, Uncle Ale opened his mouth so wide it seemed like it would touch the ground . "This kid is a monster but, that's definitely too much energy for him to handle. Should I stop him now? No, I'll wait and see how much he can handle." Uncle Ale observed Vain like a hawk stalking a mouse for the time being. He didn't want anything to go wrong with Vain's blood absorption, but at the same time, he didnt know exactly how Vain's powers worked or what his powers limits were, so he let Vain continue to absorb all of the blood from the Human Rank Blood Mosquitoes. At the same time, Uncle Ale was observing Vain, Vain was in a state of pure pleasure. The pleasure was so great that it couldn't even begin to be described. His brain was numb, all of his pores were screaming ecstasy, and his entire being felt as if it was ascend from the blissful feeling alone. Vain heard the strange yet pleasant voice go off rapidly in his head, "Human Rank five Blood Mosquitoes blood absorbed, Human Rank four Blood Mosquitoes blood absorbed, Human Rank six Blood Mosquitoes blood absorbed, Blood Essence acquired: Blood Mosquitoes. Just like that, countless announcements boomed into Vain's head in a flash. A day passed, Uncle Ale saw that Vain was still in a meditative state and let him be. Two days passed and Uncle Ale saw that Vain still looked perfectly healthy. What's more is that the surroundings were actually being cleaned up and drained of blood by Vain. This surprised Uncle Ale and lifted his mood a lot. He remembered how terrible the task of cleaning the mess up from the first wave of Blood Mosquitoes years ago was so he was naturally overjoyed that he would have to do a lot less cleaning this time around. Uncle Ale went into the cabin got a chair, some food and drink, and sat down to fully observe Vain again. The moon fell and the sun rose. On the third day, Uncle Ale was reading a book and drinking some freshly brewed tea on a bright sunny morning when all of a sudden, he felt a small energy fluctuation come from Vain's body. Uncle Ale looked up and stared at Vain in disbelief. His eyes went wide and the tea cup he was holding hit the ground and smashed into pieces "this, this, this..."
*Hisssssss* Uncle Ale let out a cold breath of air and sucked in another lung full. He was exasperated. In all of his life, he had never even heard mention of a five and a half year old Human, Demon or any other race reach the Bone Conditioning realm, yet here, right in front of him a young boy had done it. Words could not describe how shocked he was. After another short while, Uncle Ale's mind soothed and he regained his clarity. He picked up the broken tea cup and went back inside the cabin to replace it. He even forgot that this was the first time he ever sensed Vain's aura. The moon came and went just like the sun. A full week passed and the woods were almost entirely clean. At this point in the afternoon, the last bit of Blood Mosquitoes blood was being absorbed into Vain's body when he suddenly heard "Rank three Mutated Blood Mosquitoes blood absorbed, blood essence acquired: Mutated Blood Mosquito
Power Obtained : Bloody Needle.
Vain was elated. After all this time, he finally heard the strange voice say a third thing. Vain thought he was crazy when he thought back to when the rabbit died on him. He swore he heard a third sentence from the voice in his head, but he never heard it again until now, so he had his doubts. However, he was now finally sure that what he heard back then was real. Not only this, but Vain also got another blood essence, he was still not entirely sure on the significance of blood essences, but he thought, "The more the merrier" and looked forward to collecting more and more blood essences. To add a cherry on top, Vain was also now a Bone Conditioning Rank two individual. He wasnt entirely sure how the rankings in this world worked yet because Uncle Ale would never tell him and none of the books Uncle Ale had in the cabin mentioned them either. But Vain was sure of one thing, that Bone Conditioning Rank was stronger than Human Rank. Uncle Ale previously mentioned this when the Mosquitoes first showed up and Vain was obviously at this Human Rank before, it wouldn't make sense for him to become weaker after absorbing so much blood. While Vain was sifting through his thoughts, his stomach and body had other plans. Vain's stomach let out a monstrous roar and his head soon started to pound. His vision started to blur and he collapsed onto the ground. Seeing Vain collapse, Uncle Ale flashed like a ray of light, picked up Vain and checked on his condition. Uncle Ale heaved a sigh of relief because he found Vain's body to be in a normal condition, it was probably just that Vain hadn't eaten or drank anything in over a week. After all, energy consumption cant replace food and water. This would be a good lesson for Vain to remember Uncle Ale thought.
The next morning Vain woke up on his comfortable bed with a slight headache. Before he could check his own condition, he heard Uncle Ale say with a sarcastic tone,"Silly brat, you know you have to eat and drink right?" Vain was stupefied , "What do you mean?" Uncle Ale scoffed and said "You were absorbing all of the bugs blood for a week and a half moron. You didnt even stop for a bit." "A week and a half!?." Vain was dumbfounded. "Yes." Uncle Ale said not joking at all. Vain really was at a loss for words. It only felt like moments to him but he just found out it was a week and a half? This world really just doesn't make sense. Nothing does here. Uncle Ale interrupted Vain's thoughts again and asked "Are you feeling ok now? Is anything wrong?" "I have a headache." Vain said with a slight wince of his eyes. "Just a headache? Hahaha." Uncle Ale set down a bowl of soup and walked away laughing. Vain was so confused but he was used to Uncle Ale being a weirdo so he ignored him for the time being and dug into the soup like an animal that hadn't eaten in its entire life. After eating the soup, Vain slowly got up and went outside of the cabin, remembering that he had a new power called bloody needle, his heart started to beat rapidly, he never knew how to use his other power Camouflage but this bloody needle had blood in its name so he figured he could find out how to use it after a little bit of practice. Uncle Ale saw Vain come out of the cabin but continued to mind his own business. He force fed Vain while he was asleep so his body got the nutrition it needed. Therefore, Uncle Ale wasn't too worried about Vain's condition. Vain continued to walk quite a distance all the way to the river that was next to the cabin, pricked his finger and began to try using bloody needle. Vain thought, shouted, chanted, and begged the power to work, but nothing happened. After a few hours of trying to get bloody needle to work but nothing happening, Vain wanted to cry. But Vain kept trying every tactic he could think of when finally a flash of inspiration hit him. "Mosquitoes have to use their mouth to draw blood right? Do I have to do the same thing?" After thinking this, Vain opened his mouth, stuck out his tongue and thought "bloody needle" *whoosh* Vain felt a small prick on the tip of his tongue and saw an indescribably small flash of red light leave his mouth, but he couldnt see how far it went or what it looked like. However, Vain was still overjoyed. He finally figured out how to use a power. Now, Vain just needed to test the strength of bloody needle. He wanted to see how far it can go, what objects it can penetrate, and how many he can use within a certain time. To start this test, Vain set up a few test dummies that were made of logs at a distance of five meters, ten meters, and fifteen meters respectively. Vain also drew a makeshift target on each of the dummies to test the accuracy of bloody needle. Vain went to the line he drew in the grass to represent where he marked the starting distance to each dummy and started his practice. Firstly, he shot bloody needle at the dummy that was five meters away and he nailed the bullseye. Vain couldnt see the hole from five meters away but when he walked towards the dummy to take a closer look he saw the hole in the middle of the blood that was drawn on the wooden log to represent the bullseye. Vain didnt know if this was by fluke so he walked back and tested it again. He aimed his tongue at the dummy, aiming it just slightly to the left, right, top, and bottom of the previous mark, shooting out a total of four more bloody needles. Vain walked closer to see his results and was overjoyed. It turned out that the accuracy of bloody needle from five meters was absolutely perfect. Seeing these results, Vain hurried back to his distance marking line in the grass and repeated the same test on the ten meter dummy. He flicked out his tongue five times in the same spots and then went to line up with the fifteen meter dummy to flick out his tongue five more times, so he could save a trip of having to walk back and forth. Vain hurried forward to see his results and was immediately gratified. On both the ten meter dummy and the fifteen meter dummy, the spots he was aiming at were all perfectly punctured. Vain did a little dance out of joy and went to the wood pile next to the cabin to grab a few more sets of logs to create some more dummies at new distances. This time, Vain set up three more dummies respectively at thirty, forty, and fifty meters. He went back to his line in the grass that measured the starting distance and focused on the dummy that was set up at thirty meters and flicked his tongue out five times. Vain continued the test on the two dummies that were forty and fifty meters away respectively. He walked forward to see the results of his test and quickly took notice that on the dummy that was thirty meters away, all five of the bloody needle holes were placed perfectly. Vain smiled and moved onto the forty meter away dummy and saw that there were three holes spread randomly on the target. These results did not make Vain any less enthusiastic because he already thought that the results were very good. Vain went to the last dummy that was set up at fifty meters and noticed that there weren't any holes he could see in the wood. Vain jotted down all of these results from the five meters away dummy to the fifty meters away dummy so he could remember and get used to his bloody needle Innate ability entriely. Vain also took notice that even though he used bloody needle a total of thirty times, it didnt seem to affect his energy, strength, or stamina. Now Vain just needed to test the strength of bloody needle against real creatures so he went back to the cabin, grabbed a fishing pole and came back to the river. Vain threw out his line and only had to wait about five minutes before he had a bite. Vain reeled in the line and saw that he had an Unordinary Rank two Grass Nibbler on his line and quickly pulled it ashore. Vain aimed for the fish's heart and quickly used bloody needle, flicking out his tongue only one time. Immediately the fish stopped struggling and started to convulse on the grass next to the river. "Instant Kill!" Vain was very excited seeing these results so he quickly dressed the fish not wanting to waste any meat and started heading deeper into the woods to find the limit of bloody needles strength. Vain just followed the river inwardly towards the woods for a few hundred meters and then he threw out his line again. This time, it took half an hour for a creature to take the bait but Vain wasnt caught off guard. He quickly set the hook and started pulling with all his might. Surprisingly, he could not instantly pull the creature in. Vain struggled for about five minutes going back and forth between loosening the line, tightening it, and jerking it. Finally the creature gave in and flew ashore Vain thought, but soon his pupils shrank because he realized it was flying through the air heading straight towards him. Vain quickly dodged to the side with a roll, barely dodging the creatures head on attack. He looked back and saw a grayish gold creature that had two front legs and two tail fins looking extremely strange. What's more is that the strange creature had a horn protruding from its head and an almost unnoticeable mouth underneath it.
