Vain set Mira down and asked her to scan their surroundings. She quickly regained her senses, looked around and pointed to the northeast saying, "It should be those three bastards in the Organ Conditioning Realm over there. They're the ones that chased me here." Vain nodded and pointed at the road asking, "This will take us to the trail of the unique space?" Mira nodded affirming his question. She then said, "Um, hand me the pack on your back. I can carry it." Vain shook his head saying "There's no need." Mira said determinedly, "Its very common for bigger factions to have slaves or servants carry their stuff so they can focus on exploring and fighting." Vain said indifferently, "You're not a servant or slave. Leave it be." After hearing Vains words, the rambunctious girls throat tightened as she held back tears. She regained her calm when Vain asked her another question, "Can you tell how far away those people are?" Mira nodded, then shook her head. "I can sense where they are, but I can't tell you how far away they are if that makes sense. "I see. It does make sense. Well, ok. Let's get going. If they come, they come." Mira asked worriedly, "You aren't afraid of the Organ Conditioning realm? What realm are you at? Now that I think of it, I can't detect your spiritual energy at all. It looks like you were crippled to me." Vain shrugged off her inquiring gaze and started down the path that lead north. After only about two minutes, Mira stopped talking about herself and warned Vain that the three Organ Conditioning realm men were getting closer and closer. Vain nodded and used Camouflage to hide while Mira watched on in shock. She was extremely nervous. What If Vain just used her as bait to get by the three Organ Conditioning stage people? She was only in the Bone Conditioning stage and could only escape last time due to sheer luck. However, Mira didn't have long to think about it because shortly after Vain disappeared, the three men aforementioned came out of the woods about fifty meters away from her. She panicked and started to back away when the three men's gaze locked onto her. The three men were wearing white suits that covered their bodies from head to toe. The suits they were wearing probably had some special methods to keep the Pallid Rot from infecting them. The three started shouting at Mira when they saw it that it was the same little girl that got away from them earlier, "Little girl, stop there!" "We're just going to ask you some questions come back!" "Hey, hey little lady dont run away from us uncles!"
Mira shouted, "Bullshit! Stay away from me you old bastards!" Just when the three men in white were about curse at Mira, *prsh, prsh, prsh* Three noises that sounded like eggs being thrown against a rock were heard, followed by three *thumps* against the ground. Mira turned around to see Vain standing next to the three bodies. Her beautiful little eye lashes fluttered as she couldn't help but question what she was seeing. Then, just when she thought she had seen everything, Vain stuck his hand out and the blood from the three bodies flowed into it. Mira took a step back and swallowed hard. However, she wasn't scared of Vain. He had countless opportunities to take advantage of her or kill her but he never took any action to do so. What's more, she can tell when someone is lying and not once did the handsome youth in front of her lie. The attack reassured Mira's confidence in following Vain but she still had to ask, "Are you a demonic cultivator?" Vain asked back, "Is there a difference between righteous cultivators and demonic cultivators?" Mira started walking towards Vain while thinking about this question. After some thought, Mira said, "Definitely not." In her experience, righteous path cultivators were worse than the demonic path ones. She was captured and almost raped by the young master of the Divine Green Vine Sect but no one even batted an eye. She thought that at least demonic cultivators don't try to hide their intentions. In some messed up kind of way, it made them out to be more honest people. Vain added, "But no Im not. It's my physique I was born with. I can absorb blood to get stronger." Mira smiled and said, "Wow, we both have special physiques. That's pretty rare you know."
Vain just shrugged his shoulders and turned around to start walking on the path that lead to the north again. Mira ran to Vain's side and started blabbing on incessantly. This lasted for an hour before they found a smaller trail that branched off to the northwest. The signpost pointing in that direction stated clearly, "To the Serpents Hollow" making it quite obvious that the two of them needed to take this path. After about three hours, Mira said she could detect too many people to count, so Vain and her figured they were almost at their destination. They were right. Just when they walked over a small knoll, they saw a crowd of hundreds of people. A distance away from the crowds, there were giant tents that could house tens of people each. Mira saw the scene in front of them and nervously asked, "What should we do now? Vain asked with confusion written all over his face "Can't we just walk over there?" Mira scoffed and scolded Vain, "Who are we? What's our background? What are our goals here?" Vain shrugged and said, "I've lived in the woods my entire life. I'll just use my real name, it won't matter. As for background, who cares?" Mira smacked her forehead. Then said, "No, no, no. All these fu-- people care about are faction status and benefits."
Vain replied, "I dont have a faction and I'm poor. What do you want me to do?"
Mira perched her lips and said "We can use my family name. I ran away from home to prove myself anyways. This will be a good way to do it"
Vain - "... Use your family name? Didn't you say you ran away from a marriage? They'll probably come looking for you after they hear it appeared here."
Mira - "...Thats true. Then what about your family name?"
Vain - "I don't have a family name."
Mira - "..."
Vain - "What's the realm of the strongest person you can detect?"
Mira - "There's actually a Spirit Refinement realm person over there. It must be an elder of a three star sect."
Vain - "Only one?"
Mira nodded.
Vain - "Ok. Let's just walk over then."
Mira - "Did you listen to a word I've said?"
Vain - "What?"
Mira actually chuckled a bit before stomping her feet. She said "Ok.Ok. Let's just say we're independent cultivators from the town of Menia, the town nearest to Wysteria. This can be a good learning lesson for you."
Vain shrugged. If the strongest person here was a full realm weaker than him, there was no danger. It didn't matter what they said their background was. However, this did not mean Vain would let his guard down. After this conversation, Vain and Mira approached the makeshift camp that was outside of unique space. Their approach did not go unnoticed. However, once everyone sensed that it was a crippled young boy and a Bone Conditioning Realm girl, they all sneered and averted their gazes. Quickly, Vain and Mira entered the camp. To their surprise, the camp was actually more like a bazaar with many open stalls and peddlers trying to sell their goods. However, seeing the two poppers, no one thought they would have any money, ultimately leaving them alone. Mira was slightly annoyed by the lack of attention and also surprised by it. She thought for sure that the camp for Serpents Hollow unique space would have guards or attendants or something similar but there was no such thing. Being confused by this, Mira asked an old man running a stand and found out that the elders of the three star sect : Gale Fist sect and the elders of the two, two stars sects : Raging River sect and Wild Boar sect agreed to let anyone who was qualified to enter free of charge this year. Hearing this, Vain asked Mira a few questions and as it turns out, the qualifications to enter a unique space are usually very strict which is why Mira was previously scolding Vain about their identities. This made Vain and Mira think that something fishy was going on, but as to what it could be, they had no idea. Mira asked around some more, but because they were both poor and had no background, no one batted them an eye. The two of them went to the edge of the bazaar, found a spot to sit down and wait. When Mira was talking to the only old man that would speak to them, she found out that the unique space was estimated to open within a week. Now the two of them just had to wait. Four days passed. Surprisingly, to Mira's astonishment, no one came to harass them the entire time. Just when Mira and Vain were starting to eat some rations Vain brought with him, they saw the old man that previously gave them the information walking over. The old man stood at only about one hundred sixty centimeters tall, was balding, and had a few patches of hair for a beard. The old man was wearing simple beast skin clothing and carried a wine gourd he would occasionally sip from. He walked towards them with a silly smile on his face, giving off a very kind feeling. Soon, he arrived before the two of them and asked with a smile, "Young friends, mind if I sit here?"
Mira took the initiative and said kindly, "Please take a seat senior. I must apologize in advance for the lack of accommodations." The old man chuckled and said, "I came over here uninvited so you don't have to worry about accommodating me. As for formalities, forget about them. An old man like me has no need for such trivial things." The old man smiled then took a big swig from his wine gourd. Mira smiled and introduced her and Vain saying, "Old sir, my name is Mira and this boy's name is Vain. He doesn't talk much, so dont mind him." The old man was in the middle of taking a big swig from his wine gourd, but when he heard Mira's introduction he couldn't help but choke on the wine and go into a coughing fit.
