You done?" a teenage boy asked, sliding onto the bench beside her. "I kept looking for you in the hall. Why didn't you look at me? Why didn't you come yesterday?"
"I was ill," Hina lied, brushing a stray strand of hair from her face.
"Ill? Huh… okay. Have you thought about which university you'll choose? I picked Hallwads English University—they'll be starting exams soon."
"Really? That's good. I haven't thought about mine yet," Hina replied, her fingers fidgeting with the strap of her bag.
"I kept looking for you yesterday. Everyone's asking their prom dates. Come, I want to show you something, Hina," Jacob said, standing up. "Or stay put—don't move an inch. Promise me you won't."
She nodded, anticipation fluttering in her chest as she waited.
"Well, well, well… look who we have here. If it isn't the loser, Hina Jonathan," a sneering voice cut through the air behind her.
Not again, bitch, Hina thought. "Listen, Mozela, I'm not in the mood for your nonsense. Run along, Satan."
Mozela stepped closer, a smirk curling on her lips. "Says the girl whose mother slept with her own sister's husband. Rotten fruit doesn't fall far from the tree, huh?"
Hina's jaw tightened. Her voice sharpened like a whip. "Every day, the same trash insult. Come back with something new, Mozela. Aren't you tired yet? Move out of the way idiot, you and your ants are blocking my view." Stupid girls she thought rolling her eyes
Jacob returned then, glaring daggers at Mozela before grabbing Hina's hand. "Come on."
"Sore losers," Mozela muttered under her breath. "We'll get them later—especially you, Hina."

"Jacob, this place is too far… I'm tired of walking. Where are you even taking me? I didn't even know this existed," Hina panted.
"Relax, pumpkin," Jacob said, a teasing glint in his eyes.
Pumpkin? Since when? Hina thought, cheeks warming. Gosh, I hope it's not what I think… I don't need a boyfriend. He's just a friend. I can't break a heart.
Soon, they reached the rooftop of an abandoned building. The city lights stretched endlessly around them, glittering like a sea of fireflies.
"Can I blindfold you, Hina?" Jacob asked, holding out a soft scarf.
"Sure," she said, her voice catching slightly, an awkward smile tugging at her lips.
"Take my hand, my darling," he said, and her heart skipped a beat. Oh gosh her heart beat unsure…
He guided her inside. The room was filled with small gifts, ribbons, and candles flickering softly. A card in the middle read: Can you be my prom date? Her eyes shock open sigh she doesn't know if she will be at prom but seeing his expectant hopeful face she says yes and he hugged her. They both sat there laughing drinking and eating for some hours. Her heart skipped when she realized it was getting late. She stood up adjusting her uniform which has reached her thigh because of his she sat she says Jacob I need to leave it's late " she smiled and he says " Hina can I hug you " and she accepted she was about leaving when he says what about the gifts, the cake is not yet finished tho " he smiled and she sighed knowing fully well she can't waste the cake, but then Maizy likes cake so she will hand the remaing to her but how to sneak the cake and gifts inside she thought " lets clear everything so I can ask my chauffer to come do he will help us pack it then we will drop it at ur gate " she aggreed but her heart skipped knowing fully well how dangerous for her it might be to accept this, wondering what to do she came up with an idea to drop in an unknown place and then keep it in one of those street friends she has, then later in the night she and Maizy will come and pick them later.
she watched as Jacob went over to make a call she could here him telling his chauffer saying " at pakrustine car pack, u come meet us there we will be waiting down stairs for u, " he says ending the call.
immediately she saw him coming she looked away staring at everything so she won't seem like she's eavesdropping..
" hey " she heard him say while walking toward her " I just finished talking to Morrison he says he will be here in a minute "

she bend down to pick some of the props on the floor, " did u arrange everything on ur own ". She asked considering the fact everything was much it might take hours for only one person to do, he scratch the back of his head sheepishly, " No actually Kai and Micheal helped me in decorating everything " he says as he stoped staring at her gathering everything in the boxes we planned on arranging everything back together when it's done, but since we spent the day together I couldn't call them or should I call them if u can't join me in packing " she says " No ".
" I will be back " she says carrying some of the props down stairs " and thank you for today " she yells along the lonely walls. " Your welcome " he said smiling to himself, as he blew the candles wrapping them in the bag, and dropping them aside.
soon she came back " Jacob how about this, you will be putting every thing in it's places while I carry them downstairs so we can move quickly, what do u say Jacob " she says staring at her time.
Back to the time, she knows Seleya has missed her alot not in a good way but bad way, she shock her head as she heard him say " yes ur Majesty " she looked at her phone " and saw about four missed call from Maizy and a voice note " excuse me " she says smiling a bit as she went to another room in the building to listen to Maizy voice note
" Bro where the fuck are you ?, " she first heard the sound coming from her phone " ur step witch came looking for u, about three times, angry each time she noticed u are not back from school, seleya wasn't even thrilled u went to school and it's late and ur not back bro the fuck, am scared on ur behalf, seriously where are u are you okay, seleya says she will deal with you when you get back from wherever u went to, tho she traveled today " hearing this she sighed as she bit the inside of her cheeks.
She quickly walked back to where Jacob is so he won't come looking for her " u okay " he asked and she says yes " just tired "
He says " oh am sorry, I think it be better if I called Kai and Micheal to do with the rest of the packing, while intake u home with the gift since ur exhausted, let's just take ur stuffs down stairs Kai and Micheal will help me pack tomorrow okay ? '"
She says " yes " perfect idea as she picked some of her items taking it down stairs as he followed with the remaing
