Ten years passed since Heimdallr was born and The war above never ended the intensity only grew. The roars of gods and giants rumbled through the ocean floor, shaking coral and stone. His mothers kept their distance. The sea was neutral, and they meant to keep it that way.
But one day, something happened that broke the peace.
The sky darkened, and the water grew heavy. A red trail bled through the current, drifting downward like smoke. Heimdallr, who had been training in the deep trench, looked up just in time to see a body falling from the surface.
The impact sent a shockwave through the reef. When the smoke cleared, a man lay there, armor shattered, skin torn open by frost. His golden hair floated around him like fire underwater.
Heimdallr swam close, reaching to turn him over but the man's hand shot up and clamped around his throat. The grip was iron and voice with rage.
"Jötunn filth," the man growled.
Heimdallr's eyes widened, anger flashing across his face. He grabbed the arm, forcing it away just enough to breathe. "Let go!"
His mothers also hearing the crash and their sins voice they appeared in a rush only to see Heimdallr being choked out by an unknown person the nine of them surrounding the intruder, water coiling around their hands like blades.
Eistla's voice was sharp. "Release him."
The stranger looked around like he could take them even in his condition, his expression hard even through in pain. Then his strength failed, and he let go with a loud thud and faunted. Blood drifted from his side, staining the water dark.
Járnsaxa moved first, checking the wound. Her eyes widened. "This is no ordinary Æsir… this one's Vili son of Borr, brother to Odin and Ve."
The name silenced them all. Even Heimdallr froze, even tho they have been hidden and try not to disturb the outside world they at least know of the self proclaimed gods of order the Æsir's and the three brothers that slayed Ymir.
Eistla looked at his injury and frowned. "Thrym's axe bit deep this time." Angeyja narrowed her eyes. "he should have died on the surface. Why crawl here?"
Heimdallr said plainly "He Didn't crawl, he Fell."
Angeyja stiffened, saying nothing then turned and looked at her sisters knowing this will bring them trouble regardless of the choice they make they sighed and brought him to the coral hall. For days, he lay recovering in silence while the sisters tended his wounds.
Heimdallr kept his distance and was unguard, still angry from the attack. Even when his mother's told him of The law of guest right "gestidi" the young gods and rulers kept and while it's in place he will not attack them if they don't attack first
One night, Heimdallr caught Vili training, even tho Vili noticed him he didn't stop training. Heimdallr crossed his arms. "The surface is nothing but killing and noise. I've seen enough of them."
Vili chuckled, and smiled while reminiscing. "You sound like me before my first battle."
Heimdallr scowled but didn't look away. "And look where that got you."
Vili laughed, loud enough to stir the currents. "Aye. Fair point."
The sound eased the tension. For the first time, Heimdallr didn't see a warlord who is only looking for conquest he saw a god equally tired of the fighting. That night, while everyone slept or laid down , Heimdallr trained again fists striking stone, lungs burning, mind sharp. If their is someone above who could bleed Vili, then needs to get much more stronger than he is right now so he would never fall.
