Chapter 2 - chapter 1

William took in the new scenes around him as Sieg took him down to the diner room. The lunch was apparently a few sandwiches and a rich soup made from a vegetable called Sonn. William was confused until it dawned on him, like a flash of enlightenment that it was similar in shape to a tomato, but the taste was more peppery like it was seasoned with black pepper at the time of inception. Essentially, it was a spicy tomato.

'Maybe this world is more normal than I thought' he thought until he remembered that Sieg was using magic to make sure he was healthy. Magic wasn't possible on earth, at least as far as he was aware. There was legends about it, like Circe turning Odysseus's men into animals, or Abe no Seimei and his divination. If you wanted to go further into speculation, certain gods worshipped on earth like Enki and Hecate had domains over magic.

It wouldn't be out of the possibility, as far as William was concerned, but the fact it wasn't common knowledge among earthlings made it a very good chance it didn't exist, or at least exist anymore.

William was brought out of his thoughts by a portrait that hung by the stairway they were heading down. It had two people in it, one man and one women. Judging by the closeness of the bodies and the rings on their left ring finger, it was obvious they were husband and wife. Plus, the portraits position inside the house made it obvious they were the previous heads of the house. Most likely these were Williams parents.

"Beautiful yes?" asked Sieg with a smile. "Your parents, John and Mae, were quite the beautiful people, and wise and generous to boot. They spared no expense in hiring capable people for the manor, and caring for you money was no object" Sieg reminisced as they continued downstairs. Memories of a foreign kind played in Williams head, and yet they felt familiar all the same.

They were good memories of the heads of house, and it even caused William to shed a tear. "You miss them right" said Sieg without question. It was obvious even if the soul inside William was not his own, completely anyway. There was a feeling of sadness, and the reminiscing of the life that was not his, not Charlie's felt odd yet completely natural. It made him feel uncomfortable as they finished the descent of the stairs and finally made it into the dining room.

The dining room was very exquisite, and the opulence of it was very obvious to all that saw. the windows were covered in red drapes with golden tassel edges with the largest being situated right behind the head chair of the table, emblazoned in black with the Rossen crest upon it. The maids and the rest of the servants were lined up behind the head seat of the table, and it was very few servants but each were top of the line of course.

"Here you are master, todays meal is a plethora of ham sandwiches and a hearty bowl of sonn soup" said the head chef Sebastian, who was younger than Sieg, yet was only a few years younger. His hair and skin were fair, and his eyes a lapiz lazuli blue. He was noble like, and he did come from a noble family of chefs from the Rieg countryside, and he was scouted to serve here along with his own retinue.

The head maid, Matilda, pulled back the chair as William sat down and it was pushed forward. Matilda was an aged red head with a history of soldier work. She was quite developed in muscle and strength, was tall and swift, and her attacks were fearful, especially her power of bow and arrow. She was fair, but her skin was tanned due to copius amounts of work as a soldier and it seemingly stuck that way.

"Thank you Matilda" William answered as she smiled softly. The lunch before him was quite lighter compared to his usual fair, but considering how he was just in bed due to some sickness or incident, it made sense to have lighter food, especially Sonn soup which was very invigorating.

'Its very peppery, and there does seem to be some meat in it as well' William thought as he dug in with a voracious attitude. The staff was shocked at his manner, considering he was quite elegant with knife and fork and such. But they considered his situation, and as such didn't really want to tell him off for it, but they would keep an eye on it.

After lunch was done, the servants went and prepared a bath of hot water and put herbs for smell and health inside for him to get clean. His soul that was Charlie was unused to such treatment, even if it felt eerily familiar to him, to the part that was William. He knew their names, he knew the language and their land. It was quite scary for him to have memories that weren't his original, like a converging timeline that was once split merging back together.

'I wonder if this is what the Skyrim dragon break was like' he thought as he relaxed himself in the warm and hot bath. The smell was pleasant and he felt his body was being reinvigorated at remarkable speed, too remarkable. 'Maybe these plants have their own mystical properties' he thought as the name of one plant came up that did have healing properties. Called the Chiyu herb, which if he remembered right was commonly used in the translation of healing, was a common plant in medicine used to speed up the recovery process of the mortal body and physical stamina.

He got out after an hour and was refreshed. He got dressed in a silk bathrobe as he made his way to his bedroom which also housed a desk, a shelf with books, and various writing utensils like pens, papers, and even some stamps and what not.

'Well, as far as I know I don't have anything to do, and I did request some solitude after I left the bath, so lets get to work on my power.'

William decided to play with the power of his Grail, the womb of creation and the birthplace of divine life. He didn't know exactly how to use it, but he figured it worked on his thought. He had many ideas in mind for various gods, and he was mostly gonna use the gods of earth as some reference work.

The first God he wanted to create was a goddess of the heart, the epicenter of the divine life. Like in places of old, the hearth was the gathering place of family and offered solice to those who seemed it at the towns major hearth, which he got from a childrens book. He felt there was more to it, but it was to mainly serve as reference work. He thought and thought until he settled on three concepts to base the divinity around. He was gonna borrow the name of the goddess Hestia, using the concepts of fire, the hearth(Home), and rest.

He also decided to separate them into three initial aspects, these aspects being [Hearth Mother], [Healer of the weak], and [Wrath of the eternal fires]. These would be the expressions of her authority in the world. Of course he had to think of the mythology behind this one, so he wrote it down and based it on Hestias already existing stories, but he was gonna make it mostly original.

'Okay, I have the elements in place, so what now?' he thought as he subtly phased into the space with the grail flowing with the glowing waters. In front of him was a core of glowing crystal of blue in color. He had a subtle nagging he had to through the core to the waters, this divine core. Apparently knowledge was flowing inside his head on the steps, which was useful but he wished that it happened earlier.

As he tossed the core into the water, the water began to froth and bubble from where the core entered and spread outward. He felt something flow from himself at a steady rate, and he felt his body was weakening. As he was approaching what he felt was the verge of passing out from building strain, the flow stopped.

He was swaying to and fro as he was phased back into the real world as the glowing liquid of the chalice seemed to flow from his shadow and congealed into a humanoid shape. The shape was of a woman, and as it fully was born into this plane, it took a more concrete image. But before he could make out the image of the goddess, he passed out and was caught in the arms of a woman, whose body was comfortably warm.

He managed to grace a smile before he fully succumbed to sleep, and his hair began to be stroked by the goddess as he let out small snores in his sleep.

[A/N: Hey guys, back for chapter 1. Now, I wanna clarify that I'm sorry for taking a little while to do it, but I was feeling tired as I got home from work, and I was working on some of the gods to appear in the story. I also kind of planned out a backstory for Sieg the butler, so if we get enough chapters and powerstones, I will post chapters about him in increments after chapter 10 or so. Lets say, maybe 25 or 100 for a first goal? Who knows, let me know if you guys want that. Have fun reading guys!

ps, should I change my author name?]
