By merging the world's most powerful bloodlines through Dual Cultivation, Ethan had become the "beloved son" of the world itself. Ophis and Ravel, being manifestations of the world's concepts, were essentially his sisters.
"White hair, red eyes, tall with long legs..." Ethan listed his favorite physical traits for Ravel to consider for her human form.
"I'll take your suggestions to heart," Ravel replied. "I want to look like someone you'll love."
Ethan left an avatar in the Dimensional Gap to keep Ravel company while she finalized her transformation. Meanwhile, in the Human Realm, the annual school field trip began. The third-year students of Kuoh Academy were headed to Kyoto.
Ethan decided to attend with his main body. He wanted to enjoy the trip and finally "capture" Rossweisse and Aika Kiryuu. Rossweisse had been a member of his household for months, and after watching Ethan's nightly escapades with Rias and the others, the mature Valkyrie was practically vibrating with pent-up desire.
Upon arriving in Kyoto, Ethan declined the offers from the other girls and chose to wander the city with Rossweisse, who was acting as the chaperone.
However, their date was interrupted at a temple. Ethan found himself back in his hotel room, staring at a young girl with fox ears.
Her name was Kunou. She stood barely four feet tall, looking like a middle schooler, though in Yokai years, she was quite old. Ethan recognized her immediately—she was the daughter of Yasaka, the leader of the Kyoto Yokai and a legendary nine-tailed fox.
Yasaka was a voluptuous beauty and a prime target for Ethan. In the original timeline, Kunou had mistaken the students for kidnappers. But in this timeline, she had come straight to Ethan.
"Red Dragon Emperor, I beg of you," the loli fox whimpered, her voice trembling. "Please, save my mother."
Ethan looked at the golden-haired fox girl. "You want me to rescue your mother?"
"Yes, please!"
"Before I agree," Ethan said, leaning back as he studied her cute, twitching ears. "I have a few questions. Why did you come to me directly?"
Ethan noticed that unlike the original story, Kunou didn't have the "Divine Beast fragments" inside her. The world was shifting.
