I added DC to the title and rewrote the synopsis of the book because it seemed some people were confused about whether this was a DxD story or not, and whether the MC did or didn't have knowledge of DxD. My bad for being too cryptic about it. This story takes place in a world where both universes coexist, and as I mentioned before, I'll also be adding some characters from other anime, mostly from slice-of-life series, for well, the slice-of-life moments. If you want any specific characters to appear, feel free to leave them in the comments. I'll take them into consideration when deciding who to include.

(A few weeks later)
Hyoudou residence
Issei sat cross-legged in front of the TV, eyes wide with excitement, a Spider-Man Play-Doh figure clutched tightly in his hands. The news was on, which was weird for him, but this wasn't any normal news day.
The broadcast suddenly cut to a live scene. Flames roared in the distance. Smoke billowed up from what looked like the wreckage of a derailed train. The reporter's voice trembled over the chaos.
Then, amidst the destruction, someone started to… laugh.
"Ha… ha… ha!"
The camera zoomed in and there he was. A figure wrapped in a bright red cape, standing tall amidst the fire and rubble. But what caught Issei's eye wasn't the flames, it was the bright red S shining on his chest.
It was Superman.
On his back, he carried more than ten people, injured, soot-covered, but alive.
The cameraman's voice cracked in disbelief.
"He's… he's laughing!"
Superman chuckled again, then looked directly into the camera. His smile was wide and reassuring like the sun breaking through storm clouds.
"There's no need to fear now." he said, voice steady and filled with warmth.
"BECAUSE I AM HERE!"
Issei's eyes widened, sparkling as if tiny stars had come alive within them. His chest felt warm, his heart pounding with pure awe. At that moment, only one thought filled his young mind.
'I wanna be just like him!'
It was a real hero. Just like the ones his big brother used to tell him stories about.
And Issei thought his suit was super cool, too. It looked like something his big brother would make for him for Halloween.
"Issei, can you go wake your brother up and tell him breakfast is ready?"
Issei, looking towards the kitchen, replied with an eager tone, "Okay!"
He turned back to the TV just in time to see Superman finishing his rescue. The flames were gone, snuffed out by a single blast of his super breath. Superman smiled at the camera and said, "Sorry, I'm needed elsewhere," before shooting into the sky and vanishing from view.
"Aww, man…" Issei muttered, his shoulders drooping now that Superman was gone.
Then, from the top of the stairs, a familiar voice called out brightly.
"Good morning, people!" Haru called as he came down the stairs, heading straight for the dining room. His father sat at the table, reading the morning newspaper.
Haru plopped into his seat and asked, "What's for breakfast?" His leg bounced under the table, energy practically radiating off him.
His father glanced up over the paper with a smirk. "Someone's a bit hyper today."
Realizing what he was doing, Haru quickly stopped and leaned back in his chair, trying to play it cool. "Yeah, whatever you say, Pops."
His mother entered, carrying a tray with a traditional Japanese breakfast, rice, miso soup, grilled fish, and tamagoyaki.
Issei hurried to his seat beside Haru, eyes still shining with excitement. "Did you see what Superman just did?"
"Superman?" their father asked, looking up from his newspaper. "You mean that kid who's been flying around saving people?" He chuckled lightly. "Honestly, it'd make more sense to call him Superboy, wouldn't it?"
Issei shook his head, his face full of conviction and admiration. "They call him Superman because, even though he's a kid, he's got a heart bigger than any man… that's why he's super."
Haru froze for a moment, a small, knowing smile tugging at his lips. Then, hiding it behind a sip of water, he replied casually, "What'd he do?"
Issei immediately launched into an animated retelling of the rescue he'd just seen on TV, arms flailing as he described every detail. Their mom smiled at the sight, shaking her head affectionately. But then her eyes narrowed slightly something caught her attention.
"Haru," she said, leaning across the table, "what's that on your cheek?"
she reached over, rubbed at the spot, and pulled her hand back to see a faint black smear.
Is this… soot?" she asked, her tone curious but suspicious.
Haru froze for half a second, a bead of sweat forming on his temple. "Uh it's probably just some dust! Nothing to worry about. I'll… clean my room better next time."
She looked at him for a moment, not entirely convinced, but eventually nodded.
"Alright. Just don't let it build up, okay?"
"Of course," Haru said with a nervous smile.
Inside, he was practically shouting with relief.' SAFE!'
He let out a quiet sigh and went back to eating, trying not to grin too wide.

The classroom buzzed with chatter until the teacher clapped her hands.
"Alright, everyone, settle down. We have a new transfer student joining us today."
Haru sat near the back, his chin resting on one hand, pretending to pay attention. In truth, his focus wasn't on the classroom at all. His hearing stretched far beyond the school walls, filtering through the endless noise of the world. He listened for key words like help, crash, fire, or even a scream of terror, just anything that would demand his immediate attention. As much as he wanted to protect people around the clock, he still had to live a normal life. That meant going to school.
"This is Shouko Nishimiya," the teacher said, gesturing toward the doorway. "She's just transferred from another school. Please make her feel welcome."
All eyes in the classroom turned toward her. A small girl with dusty-rose hair stepped inside, clutching a pink notebook tightly against her chest. Her movements were careful, almost hesitant, and her eyes flicked nervously across the room.
Haru's head tilted slightly. He recognized her instantly, it was the girl he saved back when he first awakened his speed.
then the teacher gave her a nod to introduce herself, Shouko opened her notebook and, in neat writing, she wrote
"I'm Deaf"

Haru floated in the stillness of space, the curve of the Earth glowing beneath him. Yet somehow, his cape still moved, gently rippling behind him, as if an invisible wind were whispering through the void.
He was up here for his usual sun bath before getting to business letting the solar energy soak into him, recharging every cell. It had become part of his daily routine, a quiet moment of peace before heading back down to help the people of Earth.
Then, in the middle of that calm, something caught his attention, it was faint, fast, and strange.
A hum.
Not mechanical… but alive.
He focused, narrowing his hearing across continents until he found it, a rhythmic crackle of electricity mixed with a human heartbeat, moving faster than any he'd ever heard.
And then-
KRAKA-BOOM!
A sonic shockwave tore through the streets of Central City. Haru's eyes snapped open, a grin spreading across his face.
"Guess I'm not the only fast one anymore." he muttered, before diving toward Earth in a streak of red and blue.
As he looked down at Central City, he saw it.
lightning, golden and wild, racing through the streets.
And at that moment, Haru knew for sure.
One of the greatest heroes of mankind was making his debut.
The Fastest Man Alive.
The Flash.
