"Alright, we're definitely safe hiding here." After leading Kars under the table in her bedroom, Remilia declared confidently, though Kars still felt skeptical.
"Don't give me that look of disbelief! Flandre won't necessarily find this spot as easily as you did." Remilia was convinced that Flandre wouldn't be able to accurately determine where she would hide like Kars did; Flandre would just search everywhere. Even if Flandre eventually found the spot, it would take a long time. There was even a chance Flandre might overlook it due to carelessness, leading to an easy win for them.
Kars was at a loss for words regarding Remilia's overly optimistic feeling and thoughts, but he eventually chose to give up arguing and simply nodded. "I understand."
Kars's compromise greatly pleased Remilia, and she reached out to stroke his head. Just as she was about to say something more, the bedroom door opened, causing Remilia to immediately clamp her mouth shut.
"Where could they be hiding?" Flandre walked into the bedroom, slightly drawing out her voice as she surveyed the room. Kars, from under the table, glanced at Remilia beside him.
"Didn't you say she wouldn't find us so quickly?" Remilia didn't know how to answer that. Flandre had come straight to the bedroom right after she had finished speaking. It was certainly embarrassing, but she maintained a look of confidence, signaling Kars to relax.
Listening to Flandre's searching sounds in the bedroom, coupled with the cramped space under the table, made Remilia feel a slight sense of tension.
"They're not here. Are they not in this room?" Hearing Flandre's words, Remilia rejoiced inwardly. My choice of location was right after all! Flandre didn't find us! As long as Flandre left the bedroom, the game would be an undeniable win!
Remilia gave Kars a look of smug triumph, clearly demonstrating that her idea had been correct. When the sound of the door closing echoed through the room, silence returned to the bedroom. Kars and Remilia waited for a moment to ensure Flandre had truly left before speaking again.
"See? I told you this was a safe place. Flandre didn't find us here."
"That is quite unbelievable." Kars was also surprised by the outcome, and his affirmation made Remilia feel even more proud. She had managed to show off this time. The thought of appearing before the searching Flandre and hearing her say, "Sister, you're so amazing!" made Remilia feel even more satisfied.
"Alright, we don't need to hide here anymore. Let's leave the bedroom after Flandre gives up searching for us." Remilia started to get up to leave the table, when a figure suddenly leaned over the table, peering down at them, and grinned.
"Found you!"
Remilia: !!!∑(°Д°ノ)ノ
Flandre's face suddenly appearing in front of Remilia instantly startled her. She recoiled backward, causing the standing Kars to be hit by Remilia's butt, then used as a cushion as she sat down on him.
"Hahahahaha!" Flandre covered her stomach and burst into laughter, clearly delighted that she had managed to scare them both.
"Flandre, I thought you left!" Remilia, recovering from the shock, looked at the laughing Flandre, confused about why she was still in the bedroom after appearing to leave.
"Flandre didn't leave. Flandre just closed the door again." Hearing this, Remilia instantly realized the problem: Flandre's action clearly meant she knew Kars and herself were hiding in the bedroom, and her previous actions were just a ruse to make them lower their guard.
"Besides, Sister, you were too careless. You didn't even keep your voices down. Flandre heard everything." Flandre explained. When Remilia and Kars were talking earlier, she had heard every word clearly. They hadn't even considered the location while discussing where to hide. Flandre couldn't help but know.
Remilia's face instantly flushed. She hadn't realized this was the reason for her failure.
"Don't talk about that! Little Auntie, get up first!" Kars, with Remilia sitting on him, spoke up since she didn't seem to be getting up yet.
Hearing Kars, Remilia finally remembered and immediately got off him. She scrambled out from under the table, followed by Kars. He felt particularly helpless about the reason they were found. Ultimately, it was their own mistake. Though frustrating, there was nothing they could do about it.
"So, do you want to keep playing?"
"I think I'll pass." Remilia had no intention of continuing the game. She had tried to show off but ended up in this embarrassing situation. She felt she might lose what little face she had left if she continued, so she decided to quit.
"Then Kars, what should we play next?" Flandre looked at Kars. Since Remilia wasn't participating, there was still Kars. What kind of game should the two of them play?
"Oh, right! Does Kars and Koakuma have any other things you do to someone you like? Flandre wants to try those too." Flandre whispered into Kars's ear. Since her sister wasn't playing anymore, she was keenly interested in whether Kars and Koakuma had any other interesting activities.
"No, just that one." So far, he had only kissed Koakuma.
"None? Well, if there are any new things later, can Flandre try them too?" Although disappointed, Flandre hoped that if Koakuma taught Kars anything new, she could also try it, like the kissing practice earlier, which gave her an indescribable feeling in her heart—a feeling that didn't seem bad at all.
