Chapter 18 - CH. 18

Lorenzo had calmed down. His stomach finally stopped jumping—but he wasn't allowed to eat. And he didn't want to. He didn't want to feel it coming back up, and that's exactly what that girl said.

Alpha, she is, by the way. She couldn't be dating the boss. And she's young, so young, Vittorio calls her nuna. She pulled away his plate and wiped his lips unconsensually. Lorenzo grabbed her hand in the middle of it, the table grew tense. Yet, she only gently released the wet wipe and murmured; "chill, baby bro." In English. Because of the language, Lorenzo's eyes narrowed. She apologized in Korean after that.

Now, they've calmed down and he's just sitting. Sitting at the couch with Eunho next to him, playing in his hair and whispering soft things. The girl sat across from them with Minjae's baby. She fed it, bottle to his lips. So, Lorenzo had assumed she was some sort of nanny or dad to some child. Because she's an alpha.

But, he didn't want to know. She touched him. He has Eunho to clean him up, he didn't need her. He didn't need anyone but Eunho. And it was more than obvious.

Minjae sat across from them as well, a chair in the center of the room. The boss and Vittorio shared a seat as Vittorio sat in his lap lazily. Even though there's space in other places.

Minjae cleared his throat. He placed the blue box in his lap onto the carpet where Jia played. "It's yours, Iseul." He whispered shakily. Then, he pulled back. Not so much as a muscle moved within Lorenzo as the room silence bored on. The curtains were shut but every light was one. Lorenzo's knee jerked, however, Eunho softly reminded him of something. "You're going to be okay, baby," he said. He scratched the back of his scalp and waited patiently. Lorenzo's fingers and arms were glued to the chair—his skin would stretch and scar if he pulled it off.

"Do you want to be my mom?" He asked. The sound was deadly. Minjae's eyes flooded swiftly. "Yeah. But, you're older now, you don't need parents, baby. You've handled yourself."

"Handled himself." Yoonjae huffed. He bit his lip and sighed, setting Vittorio off of him like the omega was nothing but a baby. He leaned over his knees while Vittorio pouted. "Look, I don't want that to happen again. Lorenzo is fragil—"

"I'm not. I'm disgusted."

Yoonjae's eyes only briefly hit him. The alpha hummed. "He's disgusted. You have disgusting shit on Youngmin and Catrina. We don't want him hurt again—or, I don't. He's still my..I don't know. My kid at the end of the day. I have custody over him, I have his brother. And I want him safe, comfortable."

"You failed, biatch." Minjae stated in a language foreign to Lorenzo's ears. Eunho gasped though. "He called him a bitch in English!" He whispered. Lorenzo smirked at the sound of his tone—airy and lifted.

"No, I didn't. He's alive and fed. What happened the first night didn't happen again."

"Oh, right, I forgot to tell you, appa. I found the person who did that." The girl spoke. The only girl in the room beside Jia and she spoke. Soft, light, and definitely under the influence. She leaned back in her chair, her shirt racked up and skin still—like Eunho. She clearly didn't care about who saw her—wait.

"Appa? That's your dad?" Lorenzo leaned on his knees as well. He closed his eyes. "I don't want to talk about me. Let's talk about you fucking guys." His eyes slashed open like swords. He pointed to them all. "I have no idea who any of you people are besides him and fucking him—you all know me. Why aren't I getting a realistic introduction? Like why the fuck are you naked—" he pointed at the girl. She bit back laughter. "And why do you have two babies. And why is Jia suddenly your kid. And why do you..why do you—why did my dad like you so much, Minjae? I don't even know you guys ethnicity or where your from or your last names. I'm treated like family but I don't know any one of you!"

"Yeah, that's kind of messed up. He deserves to know." Eunho continued for him. He pat his alpha's head and the boy pacified it. The family looked around each other and shrugged. Minjae pointed at himself, "I'm Minjae Kim," he paused. that's Kim Yoonjae," he pointed at the boss. Lorenzo's eyes followed the movement but they fell back on the girl. He pointed at her. "No offense, but chi diavolo è quello?!" He switched with ease. The girl groggily sat. Then, she raised a brow, you could tell she as high out of her mind. "I don't speak that language, boy. Ты в порядке, Джи? Ты тут орёшь на меня. Я ничего плохого не сделал, братишка."

"The fuck? Is that fucking Russian—see this why I—I'm fucking pissed. Je suis énervé."

"The average person doesn't know this many languages; can we please speak in Korean?" Minjae broke. He looked between everyone and sighed softly. "That is Nori. She is from New York, raised in Korea and was in a boarding school in Russia for five years. She's 17. Her real name is something I can't say—"

"It's Ginevra. Kim. Ginevra Kim."

"Nice name," Lorenzo scoffed. He fell back into the couch with a huff. Ginevra smiled, she waved him off. "Don't shower me, my ego is pretty big."

"I wasn't. Where are your pants?" The alpha fought back. His tone was rough and thick, similar to the way wood felt. Splintery, harsh, and nice. Nice because of how it looked. The lights lit his freckled face and blue eyes like the sun and moon. Eunho's fingers clasped onto the alpha's shoulders and he muttered something unintelligible to everyone else but them. The alpha only chuckled.

Ginevra pulled her legs up, straightening out. She crossed them over each other and placed her fingers palm to palm. "You see, young man, humans were born naked. Our birthday suits are our most humane and beautiful form. We as a society fell to pieces when we created a useless, troublesome process called dressing. As a survivor of life and child of nature, I don't confine to gender identity or clothes. I'm a free animal in my naturalistic sense. Accept it."

"You sound like a drugged up hippee." Lorenzo spat. He ran a hand down his face and the girl stood. She swayed weightlessly, pants lessly. Creating limitless swirls in the giant room. "No. Just no. I don't want to be a part of this. This isn't my family, you people—I don't like you people. You're all fucking weird and creepy." Lorenzo said it. But the words swiftly came back at him once all their eyes snapped to him. The girl even stopped her weird attitude. She paused, Minjae's eyes watered. Yoonjae didn't say a word but Vittorio turned away. As though he didn't want to hear any more. He walked far, far away. Disappeared into the deep sea of the home.

The girl chilled. She glared at him. "That's not cool, little dude. You better be lucky I don't fight anyone younger than me. Because I'm a black belt in taekwondo. And I spent six years in boxing classes." She didn't do anything eccentric—just pointed a finger at Lorenzo. "We aren't creepy. We're trying to help you and if you see that as a bad idea; your father made a mistake thinking you would see it as good. Like he intended."

"Don't bring him up, slut." Lorenzo jumped. He could fight too. Probably not as well but he knew how to handle his limbs. Eunho held him back.

"Control your words, young man. I shouldn't have mentioned him; I get that. But you're being mean to my family who loves you."

"They don't know me."

"They want to."

"Fuck off. I want to go home—or to that place. I don't care. Just not here," Lorenzo snapped. He stood fiercely, but the girl stood in front of him, wrapping her hands around her body. She glared up at him. "No. You're going to sit here and listen to your past. You can't run from the truth, you little asshole. Sit back down and relax. Seriously, it's not that big of a deal. And you really hurt Vittorio's feelings. Твои крылья еще не развились, молодая птичка. Ты поймешь, когда придет время."

Lorenzo sucked in a breath. He looked at Eunho who stood with him, the omega bit his lip. "Okay. Fine, sorry. This isn't that weird," he emphasized the that before sitting back down with Eunho on his lap because he needed the comfort. The omega calmly sat. Ginevra hummed. "Good boy. You made Vittorio cry, by the way, I can hear it. Appa left too. He really wants a brother," Lorenzo scoffed. "You can manipulate me into lying but you can't manipulate me into believing that."

"I'm not manipulating you. Just listen to Minnie." She turned back. She made her way to her seat. But said Minnie wasn't moving.

He stared hard, long. His eyes fueled with tears and Lorenzo couldn't tell if it was because of depression or his kids being glued to his scalp. His fingers twitched. Lorenzo bit his lip as Eunho whispered; "you should apologize to him, baby. I'm not forcing you but these people seem genuine and Mr..Mr Yoonjae is sweet and nice."

"I'm sorry, hyung-nim."

"Don't be. It's your opinion. It's not the traditional family..but we uhm love each other." Lorenzo bit his lips at the maturity Lorenzo never got from adults breaking from the omega. The omega stood up, stopped decently before him and pulled the box top off. Inside were things Lorenzo remembered like his taste buds. "Fuck. That's..that's my favorite..that's my necklace."

He pointed at the one that said "Amore". It matched with Lillian's. It was a gift from their father—the day of his death. Minjae pulled it out, pink hair flopping. He placed the real gold in Lorenzo's lap and dug through it more, settling on his knees. He pulled out the camera and gave it to him with shaking hands. A whole lot of other shit, some stuff Lorenzo knew, others that looked new but old at the same time. Minjae stood up, he wiped his face off. "You can look through the stuff. It's just what I have for you after he died. Uhm, yeah." He whispered.

Minjae turned at his heel and walked. Just back to the chair but it felt longer. Eunho was the first to get to the box—Lorenzo was glued to the couch. His limbs like slick paint, taping himself off.

"It's okay, baby. You're okay, mhm?" Eunho pouted his way. He hummed, the sound euphoric to his sick ears. "What's in it?" He whispered. Eunho dug through it, listing everything he saw off. His fingers paused shortly and he looked at Lorenzo. "What do you want me to do?"

"Sit back down." It wasn't even a demand or anything—just a woeful murmur. As though they were the only people in the world, Eunho took his place in his premium chair and wiped everything off of his face. The alpha looked away, at Minjae. "Where's your bathroom?"

Minjae bit his lip and pointed somewhere in the dark hallway besides his kitchen. "Take a left and then a right and you'll see it."

"Okay."
