Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 : Unpaid Debt

Sister Margaret's hatred for Kaia stems from a pact she made with a mysterious woman, who claimed to be Freya, Kaia's mother. The woman, with piercing blue eyes, appeared at the orphanage one night, seeking refuge. She was desperate and frail, and Sister Margaret, then a younger and more ambitious nun, was swayed by the woman's promise of wealth and power for the orphanage.

Sister Margaret, blinded by with greed decided to agree with the agreement.

Fraya paid the nun a substantial amount of money, promise to pay the remaining when Kaia was settled. However, fraya paid half upfront with the agreement and oat that sister Margaret would care for Kaia.

But fraya vanished leaving sister Margaret filled with the sense betrayal and financial burden. The nun anger and resentment grew towards kaia every passing day, fueled with the feeling of being deceived ....

Kaia bacame target of sister margaret enduring physical and emotional abuse.the other children will avoid her afraid of facing sister margaret warth

Sister Margaret eyes blazzed with furry as she glare as the skinny kaia after remembering the past.

"you think you're so special, don't you" she spet "your just an burden and debt that can never be paid" she walked away...

Kaia was already use to the word sister Margaret use on her , something she will wonder she was a debt,she wish to know but sister Margaret will always stop there and don't say anything else...

So she once again ignore it as always and went to help the other maid doing the laundry....

"Hey you ugly bitch Margaret need ypu" said serah, sister margaret daughter..

"Are you sure you want to settle for that curse child, I have lovely beautiful children you love to adopt not Kaia ...

Or are you new to this town you must have heard about her ugly scar why don't you reconsider"

Kaia was surprised and curious who wanted to adopt someone like her,

Her once cold face shows a bit of curiosity about this unknown visitors...

The mysterious visitor stood tall, exuding an air of confidence and poise. Their features were striking, with high cheekbones and piercing eyes that seemed to bore into kaia soul. His dark hair was styled impeccably, framing a face that was both captivating and intimidating.

The visitor's attire was elegant, with a tailored suit that accentuated their lean physique. A crisp white shirt and a subtle patterned tie added a touch of sophistication to their overall appearance. A silver watch gleamed on their wrist, hinting at a life of luxury and refinement.

He was accompanied with his assistant,Asher Nightshade has a sharp jawline and a deceptively boyish face, with features that seem almost too perfect, giving him an innocent yet devilish appearance that belies his true nature.

Sister Margaret's expression turned cold as she gazed at the visitor's. "I'm afraid Kaia is not a suitable candidate for adoption," she said curtly

Asher eyebrows rose in surprise. "Oh? Why is that?"

Sister Margaret's voice took on a disapproving tone. "Kaia has...certain tendencies. She's stubborn and difficult to manage. I'm not sure she'd be a good fit for a loving family."

Asher looked puzzled. "But I'd like to meet her and get to know her better. Perhaps-"

Sister Margaret cut him off, her voice firm. "I'm afraid it's not possible. Kaia's needs are...complex. She requires a specific environment and care that I'm not sure you're equipped to provide."

Asher interest seemed to pique, and he leaned forward. "I understand. I'd still like to discuss this further. Perhaps we could-"

Sister Margaret's expression hardened. "I'm afraid the decision is final. Kaia will not be available for adoption. There are other children here who might be a better fit for you."

The mysterious man eyes narrowed slightly, sensing Sister Margaret's reluctance. He locked eyes with his assistant signaling him to do the needful before continuing to look at Kaia,

Sister Margaret still maintain her professional face, when a discreet envelope was slipped onto the table, containing a substantial amount of money.

Asher voice was low and smooth. "I'm willing to provide a generous compensation for Kaia's care and well-being. I'm sure you understand the importance of ensuring she's placed in a loving environment."

Sister Margaret's eyes darted to the envelope, and her fingers twitched slightly. She cleared her throat, attempting to maintain a veneer of professionalism. "I...I suppose it would be possible to reconsider Kaia's adoption. However, I would need to ensure it's in her best interest."

Asher gave a charming smiled, sensing a breakthrough. "Of course. I'm willing to offer a significant donation to the orphanage, ensuring Kaia receives the best possible care and opportunities."

Sister Margaret's resolve crumbled, her greed getting the better of her. She nodded curtly. "Very well. I'll...I'll prepare the necessary documents."

"Kaia come over here quickly, can't you great your visitors ,go ahead and sarve them and stop standing like a pest"

Sister Margaret was scared that Kaia attitude will make the man withdraw his money

Kaia take another glance of the mysterious man that has a charming smile on his face, before walking away to carry out her task....
