Chapter 262 - Chapter 137: Vivi Returns!

"No, Professor," Vivi said wistfully, "You don't understand Harry. Harry's personality... is sensitive, cautious, and somewhat... self-doubting. He's not very good at expressing love, nor at discovering it. That's why I have to be tolerant of him, understand him, care for him, and become someone he can rely on. So I can't show any weakness in front of him."

"That Potter kid, he really lucked out." Professor Luke Wood rolled his eyes and said, "But you're going to get really tired doing this."

"Tired?" Vivi said a bit cheerfully, "Compared to enduring a century of solitude in the Map Secret Room, this isn't tiring at all, Professor Luke Wood."

"Then what if Harry comes to the Map Secret Room and finds your portrait missing?" Principal Fitzgerald suddenly asked.

"Just say I've absorbed the memory," Vivi said lightly, "After all, Harry's a scatterbrain, he won't notice anything amiss."

Saying so, she added, "Thank you, Professors, for all these years of companionship. I think now it's time to say goodbye."

"It's not like we won't meet again," Professor Luke Wood said, "If you have time, aren't you planning to come back?"

"Indeed," Vivi nodded, stepping out of the portrait.

After that, she walked away lightly, floating out of the Map Secret Room.

...

The little episode in the Map Secret Room, Harry didn't know about.

He now carried all five types of materials and had come to the side of Slytherin's common room, ready to enter Slytherin's study.

Taking advantage of the holidays, when no one was paying attention, Harry came to the study entrance, aimed at the wall, and used Revelio.

"Revelio!"

The spell flashed, and sure enough, three marks appeared on the wall.

At the same time, three candlesticks appeared in corresponding positions on either side of the corridor.

"Confingo (Thunder Explosion)!"

Harry waved his magic wand, using the Explosive Curse to light the candlesticks, and suddenly a door appeared on the wall, rumbling open.

Harry walked in and lit all the candlesticks in the room with Flaming Bear.

This was a corridor that had clearly been modified by Vivi, not requiring Snake Language to move forward.

He walked slowly forward, repeatedly using Revelio to see what changes had occurred over a hundred years.

However, except for the layout changes by Vivi, there were no other changes.

Harry continued to walk forward until he reached a small door sealed with Ancient Magic.

He released the Black Witch Farina, and before she could react, Harry raised his magic wand.

"Crucio!"

Farina let out a sharp scream, curling up on the ground as feelings of pain and confusion burned her mind.

Soon after, the seal on that small door was lifted, and with a flash of violet light, the door clicked.

He said nothing, stopped the output of the Crucio, and put the Black Witch back into his purse.

Curiously, since awakening Ancient Magic, he no longer needed emotions to use any spells, they could be cast freely.

Harry opened the door, pushed it open, and in front of him was the familiar Slytherin's study.

However, what felt strange to Harry was that the furnishings of the study had been completely replaced, substituted with everything Vivi used before — even including that desk.

On the chair behind the desk, Vivi leaned back, her eyes gently closed, seeming not to feel Harry's arrival.

"Vivi!"

For a year and a half, Harry had never felt so close to his friend from a century ago. He hurried forward, trying to wake Vivi.

However, as he approached Vivi, a bronze light flashed, barring him from getting closer.

Harry knew this was likely the Time Magic seal reinforced by Vivi.

He searched carefully, finding a stone disc on the desk in front of Vivi, engraved separately with an Angel, Fire Dragon, Phoenix, and Snake Monster, with a small compartment in the middle that seemed to be the place to store the Sands of Time.

He said nothing, pulling out the Fire Dragon Heart, and placing it in the Fire Dragon's position.

The disc flashed with a violet light, and it gently rotated, making a clicking sound as the Fire Dragon Heart was fully absorbed into the disc.

Harry picked up the Angel Feather again — contrary to his impression, the Angel Feather wasn't white, but neither was it transparent; it had no color at all.

Strange, a very peculiar state.

He placed the Angel Feather in the Angel's position, and the disc flashed with a violet light again, rotating with the sound of mechanical turning.

Harry then placed the Phoenix Tears and Snake Monster Poison Fang on the disc, which continued to absorb them without error, rotating faster and faster, as if about to fly.

Lastly, Harry placed the Sands of Time in the center of the disc.

The disc's violet light shone brilliantly, rotating rapidly with a squealing sound.

Harry stood rigidly, not knowing what to do, only letting the disc spin rapidly.

Soon, the disc slowly came to a stop, its violet glow dazzling, almost turning the disc into a gemstone of violet light.

Simultaneously, on either side of Vivi's seat, the bronze light flickered, rippling like a bronze water curtain.

Slowly, the bronze water curtain gradually dissipated.
