Chapter 528 - Chapter 205: Regulus Black (8,000 Words)

For now, the night raid is just a plan, Vivi hasn't taken action yet.

After staying in the room for a while, Ron hurriedly came over.

"Come on, Harry." Ron waved to Harry, "Look what I've found?"

Harry thought Ron had discovered something incredible, so he stood up and walked out with Ron.

Walking all the way to Ron's room, he pointed to the direction across the door and said, "Look, I didn't notice before, see what's written up there?"

Following Ron's pointing finger, Harry noticed a small plaque on the door with deep scratches beneath the paint.

He adjusted his glasses and took a closer look. It was an impressive small plaque, with neat handwritten lettering, much like something Percy Weasley would nail to his bedroom door.

Regulus Arcturus Black

"That's Sirius's brother, right?" Ron looked at Harry and asked, "I remember he said his brother's name was Regulus, who turned to You-Know-Who— but it turns out, Regulus actually betrayed You-Know-Who, and that's what You-Know-Who himself said."

"Yes, he is my brother."

Sirius's voice sounded from behind Ron, and when Ron turned around, he saw Sirius's expression was somewhat sad.

"Kreacher was very loyal to my brother, so I didn't assign anyone to stay in this room."

Perhaps this was also a form of tribute to Regulus, Harry thought to himself, though he didn't say it out loud.

"Let's go in and have a look." Sirius seemed to be trying not to let his voice tremble, "I haven't been in this room for a long time."

He pushed open the door and walked into Regulus's room, with Harry and Ron following closely behind.

Regulus's room should be said to be quite the opposite of Sirius's style — Sirius was extremely rebellious, eager to completely remove the family's Slytherin imprint; whereas Regulus was quite the opposite, being the Black family's good child, mother's good son, his room had Slytherin's silver and green everywhere, covering the bed, walls, and windows. The headboard was meticulously painted with the Black Clan's crest and the proudly pure phrase written in French, below which there were many yellowed clippings glued into an irregular collage.

"They're all about Voldemort." Sirius looked at the clippings at the head of the bed with a complex expression, "At that time, he was brainwashed by my mother, his mind only had following Voldemort, not thinking about anything else—how naive, this child, later he joined the Death Eaters."

Harry noticed that beside the clippings was a photo, seemingly of the Slytherin Quidditch team. He instantly recognized which one was Regulus — he was sitting in the front row center, the arrogant look on his face was just like a second Sirius, but his stature was more slender, appearing gentler, and not as handsome as Sirius.

"You can see it too." Sirius murmured, "He was a Seeker, as you see, actually both of us brothers have many similarities, like we both quite like Quidditch."

"Then why didn't you join the Quidditch team?" Harry asked curiously.

"My mom wouldn't buy me a broomstick."

Sirius said, pretending to be relaxed, but he overlooked the fact that joining a Quidditch team doesn't necessarily require buying a broomstick at home.

Quickly shifting topics again, he said: "Actually, your dad James always wanted to be a Seeker, he's way more adventurous than you, you know? He often stole the Golden Snitch from the Quidditch team, playing with it in his hand… Peter… the traitor, very much enjoyed watching him playing with the Golden Snitch, sometimes I wondered if he was so happy that he wet himself."

While listening to Sirius, Harry also glimpsed the book "Born Noble: Wizard Family Tree" placed at the head of the bed.

It was evident that Regulus seemed very proud of his Pure Blood identity...

"Guess Uncle Potter really was a rascal." Ron commented sharply on James.

"Indeed, he was quite a rascal." When Sirius talked about James, he was practically beaming — Ron even suspected if one of them had been a girl, Lily would have no place — he continued saying, "But Ron, you should know James and Old Snot Spirit never got along, at school, he was the nemesis of Old Snot Spirit."

Ron was silent, just nodding repeatedly.

"Why aren't you talking?" Sirius asked curiously: "I remember you don't like Old Snot Spirit, he often targets you, doesn't he?"

"I can't talk." Ron replied: "As soon as I say anything bad about Professor Snape, he appears behind me, it's foolproof, unless I'm in Gryffindor's common room, I'll definitely get caught by him."

"How could that be? This is the Black household!" Sirius exclaimed.

"No, just now it was proven the Black household is no use either, can't block Professor Snape," Ron said breathlessly.

At this moment, Pabi suddenly poked her head out from below the floor.

"Oh, you're all here?" she said with a smile, "Dumbledore asked me to inform you, Kreacher has woken up… should say, Old Snot… Professor Snape's Magic Potion is indeed effective, I see Kreacher's state much improved."

You were going to say Old Snot Spirit, right? You were going to say Old Snot Spirit, weren't you?
