Chapter 560 - Chapter 214: The Death God's Gift, and Harry's Deepest Desire...

"It's already late." Vivi held the Crystal Ball and waved it at Dumbledore, "I've already called Professor McGonagall—"

Of course, although it's a 'phone,' the name is telephone, just like in the Muggle World.

Just as she finished speaking, Professor McGonagall's virtual image rose from the Crystal Ball.

Beside Professor McGonagall, a silver tabby kitten could also be seen.

"Merry Christmas, Professor McGonagall," Vivi said with a smile.

"Merry Christmas, Miss Grindelwald," said Professor McGonagall kindly, "Calling me at this time, is there something you need?"

"Nothing urgent, it's just that we've made a rule about restricting Professor Dumbledore's intake of sweets." Vivi glanced at the sighing Dumbledore and continued, "Considering this plan needs someone impartial to implement, you were the first person we thought of... I heard from Professor Snape that Professor Dumbledore has developed a resistance to the Tooth Health Potion, so we made this decision, hoping for your support..."

To everyone's surprise, after hearing Vivi's words, not only did Professor McGonagall not refuse, but she even bounced like a little girl, clapping her hands, "Is there really such a plan? I've wanted to do this for a long time!"

Seeing Professor McGonagall agree to their plan, Vivi nodded with a smile, "Since you agree, I'll send you a copy of the plan tomorrow."

After exchanging farewells, Vivi hung up the call and looked up at Dumbledore, "Professor Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall has agreed to our plan, so... starting now, this plan is officially in effect, and we will strictly control your daily sugar intake..."

Before she could finish, Dumbledore quickly fished out a few candies from his pocket and stuffed them into his mouth.

Clearly, he planned to eat as many candies as he could in this final moment, fearing he wouldn't have a chance later.

"Alright, let's eat first," Vivi said with a sly smile. She didn't really intend to make Dumbledore completely quit candies, just to control them.

This meal, for Dumbledore, tasted like wax.

He was now heartbroken, heartbroken at the thought of never seeing those lovely candies again.

Seeing Dumbledore looking a bit down, Little Sirius poured him a glass of wine, handed it to him, and advised, "Don't look so glum, have a drink."

Dumbledore took the goblet, sighed, and drank it all in one go.

Oh well, perhaps a drunken escapade can ease the sorrow...

Hopefully, Minerva won't be too strict when enforcing this rule...

After the Christmas dinner, it was time for desserts.

Considering the desserts were all very sweet, Vivi just ordered Dumbledore to eat a small portion.

And just that small portion, Dumbledore used a tiny spoon, slowly and meticulously savoring it, taking a full hour to finish.

It was obvious he really liked sweets.

After having desserts, there was the classic Christmas carol segment.

Vivi sat behind the piano, which looked very ancient, already bearing the marks of time, but thankfully well-maintained and not appearing too dilapidated.

"Well this piano certainly has some years on it," Hermione said, touching the piano marked with the traces of time.

"This is a 19th-century piano," Little Sirius said, "It's said that my great-grandfather—Phineas's father—bought it from a Polish man named Frederic Francois Chopin."

"Chopin?!" Hermione asked in shocked disbelief, "You mean—the Polish musical genius Chopin!?"

"Perhaps, I'm not really sure," Little Sirius shrugged.

"Oh my goodness, Chopin..." Hermione clutched her chest, saying, "Merlin, Jesus, and the almighty Lord, I can't believe I'm seeing a piano that Chopin used in my lifetime..."

"What's the big deal about that?"

Vivi, of course, had heard of Chopin, but as a typical Austrian, she had her own pride.

"I've even seen Johann Strauss II myself," Vivi said with a cheerful smile, "But that doesn't stop us from singing a Christmas carol now—come on, I'll give you a start..."

"Sing what?" Hermione asked curiously.

Vivi thought for a while and suggested, "Let's sing 'Silent Night'—I'll give you a head start."

'Silent Night'?

Before they could remember what song that actually was, Vivi began with a voice like a celestial song.

"Stille Nacht heilige Nacht"

"Stille Nacht heilige Nacht"

"Alles schläft einsam wacht..."

While singing this, she suddenly noticed everyone looking at her.

"What is it?" Vivi said, suddenly realizing she was singing in German.

"Sorry," Vivi laughed, "I forgot this was in German—but I do remember the English version, do you still remember it?"

"I heard it as a kid." Hermione nodded vigorously, "I've heard this song many times on TV, but I really can't sing the German version..."

"How about..."

Pabi floated beside Vivi, "We're all wizards and don't sing Muggle songs—Vivi, would you sing it solo?"

Vivi replied generously, "Sure, I'll sing you this Christmas carol then..."

With that, her long fingers rhythmically tapped on the piano keys, and she began to sing the famous 'Silent Night.'

'Silent Night' is a widely-known Christmas carol, with lyrics by Joseph Mohr and music by Franz Gruber, completed on December 24, 1818, and first performed by the choir at St. Nicholas Church in Austria.
