"Wow, this Fire Dragon's will is truly stubborn." Mr. Bagman's commentary timely resonated, "You can see its performance lives up to its reputation, but frankly, that's not a wise choice."
The audience was stunned, never having witnessed such a violent scene before. Especially seeing a wizard suppress a Fire Dragon in a narrow direct confrontation, how could it not make their blood boil?
Some passionate fans even took off their shirts, waving them wildly in their hands, loudly cheering for Harry.
Facing the Hungarian Tree Bee's stubborn counterattack, Harry didn't choose any lethal magic spell. After all, he had no personal vendetta against the Fire Dragon, so there was no need to take its life.
Moreover, this was a dragon from the Romanian Dragon Breeding Ground. To take its life for a mere trial would be against the rules and leave a bad impression on the audience on site.
With this in mind, Harry raised his Magic Wand, aiming it at the Fire Dragon.
"Stupefy!"
A blast as thick as a barrel shot like a cannonball from Harry's Magic Wand tip, hitting the Hungarian Tree Bee's face directly.
This poor Fire Dragon didn't even have time to let out a cry before falling into a baby-like sleep.
Ah, youth, to fall asleep so readily.
Harry thought to himself as he strolled over to the dragon's nest amidst the uproarious cheers around him, cradling the Golden Egg in both hands.
He lifted the Golden Egg high over his head, met by the screams, cheers, and applause of the crowd, the sound deafening.
The feeling was intoxicating, to win cheers under the spotlight; few could dislike it.
"Look!" Bagman shouted excitedly, "Look at that! Our youngest Warrior has gotten the Golden Egg in the fastest time! Moreover, it was through direct confrontation with the Fire Dragon, displaying raw power and definitive strength to complete the first task... This was truly spectacular. Thank you, Mr. Potter, for bringing us such an exhilarating match, let's thank him!"
Harry waved to everyone, receiving their applause in return from the audience seats.
"It was amazing, Potter!"
Just as he climbed down from the rockery, Professor McGonagall eagerly approached, speaking loudly—praise this high was rarely heard from her.
Judging by Professor McGonagall's reaction, she was beyond satisfied with Harry's performance.
At this moment, the Dragon Tamers swiftly moved forward to check the wounds on that poor Hungarian Tree Bee.
While examining the Hungarian Tree Bee, Charlie muttered, "Too brutal, just too brutal, my goodness..."
"Head over to that tent," Professor McGonagall continued, "Mr. Krum and Lady Delacour are inside receiving treatment from Madam Pomfrey. I suppose you could use a cup of hot cocoa?"
As she spoke, Professor McGonagall even smiled, seemingly pleased with Harry's unscathed state.
This was not only Hogwarts' glory but also Gryffindor's proud moment!
Ever since Mr. Potter enrolled, Gryffindor has been thriving...
The more the old lady looked at Harry, the more pleasing he appeared.
"I feel pretty good right now," Harry replied with a smile as Ron and Hermione also rushed over.
"Excellent, Harry, just excellent!" Hermione said excitedly.
"Great job, Harry." Ron patted Harry's shoulder as they walked toward the edge of the field, "You know, you're the best, no one can compare. That girl Fleur tried using some magic to put the Fire Dragon into a hypnotic state—well, it almost worked, the dragon quickly became drowsy but then started snoring, launching a massive flame that set her skirt on fire—she conjured water from her wand to put it out. And Krum—you won't believe it, he didn't even think to fly! But he was good, probably second only to you—he used a spell directly on the dragon's eye. Unfortunately, the dragon struggled in pain, trampling and crushing about half of the real eggs—the judges docked quite a few points because he shouldn't have damaged those eggs."
Ron gasped for air forcefully, as he and Harry reached the edge of the field.
The Tree Bee had already been removed, and Harry could see where the five judges were seated—just on the right, sitting in elevated golden chairs.
"Each person's top score is no more than ten." Ron said as Harry squinted toward the field, seeing the first judge, Mrs. Maxim, raise her wand to the air.
A long, silver ribbon-like substance shot from her wand, splitting into two parts in the air, forming a massive "10".
"Very fair!" Ron said amidst the applause and cheers from the audience, "But I suppose she gave you a ten because you didn't harm that Fire Dragon... I must say, that was a wise choice."
Next was Mr. Crouch. He too cast a "10" into the air.
"Seems it's secured!" Hermione said happily, "That's already 20 points now!"
Next came Dumbledore, who also gave a score of ten, considering Harry's flawless performance.
The cheers from the audience grew even louder because these tens were well-deserved.
