"Meow"
Hikari looks down at the beastkin.
She was in her human form, a form she takes whenever she attends social events.
Most of her fur was tucked in and hidden beneath her dress. Her fair human skin on her neck and face.
She unloads her backpack and opens it. It was pieces of Hikari's sock.
"Meow found some more perverts who made off with ya sock. Meow had to scratch some faces."
Hikari picks up a piece. She could feel the faint resonance of her telekinetic runes etched into each of her cloth pieces. There was just a bit of sticky liquid in places around the cloth.
She licks her paws.
"Thanks."
"Ah. Yeah. Don't sweat it. Meow hears you've been doing a lot for the farmers. The least meow can do is to claw down some pervs."
The beastkin stood legs wide with confidence, her paws on her hips.
"Lady Camilia."
"Meow?"
"Aren't you supposed to be in Moradale with Ria?"
The beast kin flaps her ears. Her fluffy tail swept the air around her rapidly.
"Eh? Nope. Meow skipped out."
. . .
"Ah. Thanks for the business"
Hikari looked on as the priests of Silora carefully loaded the cores of the ghoul mother into their sealed chests.
Their white robes with golden collars.
An imposing guard in a full suit of armour with enough strength to cleave a horse in two.
The old scribe counted each coin as he always does.
"My pleasure. I must commend your knights for carrying out the good work of the goddess Silora."
The old scribe seemed relieved as he signed with his quill.
. . .
Forging steel is indispensable to fielding an army. There are plenty of better materials. But steel is the only one that can be mass produced cheaply enough. The RazenHeir forge is probably not hot enough to forge them properly. Nor could they refine raw ore easily. I'm not sure how you can fix this, but you are always full of surprises.
Shard of the wyvern forge. Heart of the flame elemental.
Treasures from the wyvern peaks.
Hikari and Ella gulped down their tankard filled with mana mixes.
The smiths on the floor above shoveled the ore into the furnace.
They channeled their wyvern flames into the heart.
The swirling heat around them could burn a man alive.
Hikari used the sand from the tower in the wyvern peaks to coat the walls of the dugout around the core of the furnace to keep the heat in.
The heart concentrates their flames into a beam flowing into the shard of the forge suspended in the furnace.
A vortex of scorching heat whirled within the furnace.
Ella stopped channeling her flames.
Hikari channels more mana to make up for it.
She turned her attention to the furnace, casting her incantations on the shard of the wyvern forge.
The shard rings in response to her mana. Cryptic runes etched onto its surface glowed white hot with energy.
A flame barrier materialised on the inside, trapping the scorching heat in.
The ore melted into red hot lava.
It flowed into the floor below, into the molds of the smiths as they opened the valves.
The sound of hammering.
The water sizzled in the molds as the steel cools and hardens.
The men above constantly shoveled ore in.
The smiths below hammered away as the molten steel by the wyvern flame bent like clay.
Batch after batch were rolled out.
Swords, armour, musket balls, rifle parts and so on.
The men pulling the pulleys lifting the weapons out worked nonstop.
. . .
Hikari pulled the carts.
Two columns of ten carts each.
Her raw strength alone isn't enough to pull them.
The salamander armour on her joints compressed itself, lending her its strength.
Her mana coursed through her body, reinforcing her strength with by coating herself with her telekinetic energy.
She was barefoot. The rigidness of her boot limits the strength she could bring in her legs.
The bore of her foot created enough friction on the paved roads.
She arrived at the train station in RazenHeir territory.
Two day's march from the estate for the infantry.
She reaches it before noon.
The train goes directly to the Herdial border. The railways arcs down ways hugging the deadlands in the south away from the Carla border where it might be attacked by ghouls.
Rey waits for her. on his horse.
Hikari drops the chains to the ground.
The general rode up on his horse to inspect the carts.
He picks up an enchanted musket ball with his glove and studies it.
"This is great, Hikari! Blessed Herda. It's so hard to fight without enchanted ammunition."
He rode back to his men. They were frozen stiff staring at the sweaty giantess before them in her loose tops and short skirt.
Their noses were bleeding. Their crotch guards ready to burst.
"Get a grip."
Rey sprayed them.
"Oof!" It was an extract from one of the stinkiest plants found in Herdial.
"Get the payment and load up the goods!" He barked.
The men choked and whizzed for a moment before getting back to work.
They unloaded several chests from the train carriage before getting to work on moving the enchanted weaponry.
Rey opened one. A soothing green glow came from inside.
"Low grade cave crystals. Since you cleared through the mining shaft, we were able to begin mining operations. With the exception of a stalagmite beast blocking one of the caves, we can safely extract some low grade crystals from the shallower levels."
Rey opened another.
"Wheat grass. Essential for giants to maintain their bodies. Smouldering shoots harvested from the king salamander's habitat. I think it's adapted enough to you that you could allow it to grow."
"Nice."
The rumbling sound of wheels on the gavel.
Ella arrived pulling a trail of carts herself.
A merchant rode up to her and offered her a bagful of crystals.
She quickly grabbed them and turned around.
A crunching sound was heard.
"Ella"
She flinched and instantly turned around. She was quite nimble even with her claws tucked into her maid loafers.
Her hands hiding the bag behind her.
"You can eat. But let's go home first."
Her tail shot out for a brief moment before immediately receding back into her skirt.
Rey rubs his eyes in confusion.
"Oh and Hikari."
Hikari turns around.
The sound of another train docked at the station.
"Since trade relations between Herdial and the Moradale territories have broken down, tariffs are going to hike a lot. There's still a short amount of time where we can still get past with loopholes. You can make a lot of money right now by just pulling carts."
The merchants appeared out of the train. They seemed quite pleased to see the giantess and Rey and was actively tripping over each other trying to be the first to get to them.
"I see."
