Faced with the energy waves gathered in Goku's palm, Vegeta suddenly felt fear creeping into his heart. His legs unconsciously began to retreat.
Sweat covered his forehead, and his body shook as he muttered, "This is a nightmare… an absolute nightmare! I, the dignified Saiyan Prince, have been beaten by a low-level warrior, Kakarot, and can't even fight back!"
Heartbroken, Vegeta turned to flee—but at that moment, Goku fired an energy blast.
Boom!
Vegeta was struck by the attack.
When the smoke cleared, Vegeta was revealed, badly wounded but alive.
Goku had controlled his power carefully—otherwise, he could have killed a hundred Vegetas at once.
Piccolo approached, confused. "Goku, why didn't you just finish him with one blow?"
Goku crossed his arms with a confident smile. "Don't worry, Piccolo. Let him live—for now. It'll make things more interesting later."
Piccolo sighed. "As for sparing his life, Goku… that's your decision. I won't interfere."
Soon, Tien, Yamcha, Krillin, Gohan, and Chiaotzu arrived.
Krillin exclaimed, "Goku! You're amazing! Even when this Saiyan turned into a giant ape, you defeated him in just a few moves! With you here, we don't have to fear any alien invaders!"
"That's right," Goku replied with a smile, arms crossed. "But you all need to keep training, or you'll fall behind."
At this moment, the Z Warriors noticed that Vegeta wasn't dead.
Tien pointed out, "Goku, he's still alive!"
Goku nodded casually. "Yeah. I'll let him go… for now."
Krillin and Yamcha wanted to protest, but ultimately stayed silent. Goku's decision was final.
Struggling, the injured Vegeta pulled out the spaceship remote and activated it.
The Z Warriors were furious but knew better than to attack without Goku's command.
Soon, a spaceship arrived. Vegeta crawled aboard, and as the hatch closed, he spat out, "Kakarot… just wait. One day, I'll kill you myself! I am the strongest warrior!"
Goku ignored Vegeta's threats.
As the ship flew out of the atmosphere, Yamcha said helplessly, "I don't know when Vegeta will return, but there's nothing to worry about. With Goku here, we don't need to fear any Saiyans."
Krillin, Tien, and Chiaotzu all nodded in agreement.
Gohan had followed Piccolo closely throughout the battle.
Goku turned to the group. "After some time, you two can take the spaceship Bulma modified and travel to Namek. It's a good opportunity for training."
"Namek? Isn't that Piccolo's home planet?" Krillin asked, recalling the Saiyan's stories.
Yamcha gasped. "Namek?! That means there are countless warriors as strong as Piccolo there! Just thinking about it makes my scalp tingle!"
Tien clenched his fists in excitement. "Training on Earth won't yield much in a short time. Going to Namek… that might really boost our strength!"
Piccolo considered Goku's suggestion carefully. There had to be a deeper reason for Goku wanting them to train on Namek—but he didn't object.
After all, it was natural for a Namekian to want to revisit his home.
What the Z Warriors didn't know was that Goku's true purpose was to push them to their limits.
Facing powerful enemies constantly would stimulate their potential. Peace alone would make them complacent.
Gohan spoke quietly. "Dad… can I go to Namek with Uncle Piccolo? I want to see his hometown too."
Goku smiled at his son. "Sure. You can come with us when the time comes."
Gohan jumped up in excitement. "Uncle Piccolo! Dad said yes! We can go together!"
Piccolo was genuinely happy to take his apprentice to see the world.
Krillin asked curiously, "Then Goku… aren't you coming to Namek with us?"
Goku chuckled. "You go first. I'll follow later."
Krillin nodded, muttering under his breath, "I get it… Goku's going to stay behind and spend time with Chi-Chi and Bulma. Don't think I don't know."
