In the distant universe, aboard a spaceship,
King Cold, Frieza's father, glared at a screen with a dark expression.
"How could someone kill my son Frieza? Have you identified the culprit?"
"Report, King Cold. Based on monitoring data, it appears the one who killed Frieza is a Super Saiyan," a subordinate replied respectfully.
King Cold's eyes widened. "Super Saiyan? The same Super Saiyan our Frozen Demon Clan has always feared?"
"If this really is a Super Saiyan, we must find a way to eliminate him, or it could threaten the dominance of the Frozen Demon Clan."
"Have you discovered where this Super Saiyan came from?" King Cold asked.
"Yes. According to prior communication logs, it is from Earth, far away in the Milky Way," the subordinate answered.
King Cold nodded. "How long will it take to reach Earth from our current location?"
"Approximately one year, King Cold," the subordinate replied.
King Cold looked through the glass toward the Milky Way and said, "Then let's head to Earth."
"Yes, King Cold," the subordinate responded.
The spacecraft turned and set its course for Earth.
King Cold muttered with a fierce glint in his eyes, "Super Saiyan, huh? I'll show you the might of our Frozen Demon Clan."
Despite his harsh words, King Cold was uncertain whether he could defeat a Super Saiyan alone.
To kill Frieza, the Super Saiyan's strength had to be far beyond Frieza's.
King Cold knew his own power was roughly equal to Frieza's, or slightly weaker—100 million compared to Frieza's 120 million.
He chuckled and said, "I'll contact my eldest son. Though the distance is vast, it may take two years for him to arrive. No matter, I'll face this Super Saiyan alongside him."
"Contact my eldest son, Cooler," King Cold commanded.
King Cold knew Cooler's strength surpassed both him and Frieza.
United, they would have no trouble confronting a Super Saiyan.
"King Cold, do you really wish to contact Cooler? We'll need to adjust our arrival time on Earth," the subordinate asked cautiously.
King Cold's cold gaze fixed on the staff, who quickly responded, "Yes, King Cold. I will contact Cooler immediately."
Satisfied, King Cold picked up a glass of red wine and began drinking.
Meanwhile, in a distant part of the universe, aboard another spaceship:
One of Cooler's top subordinates reported respectfully, "King Cooler, your father, King Cold, has sent a message. He requests that you accompany him to Earth in the Milky Way to confront the Super Saiyan who killed Frieza."
"Hmph!" Cooler snorted, a hint of displeasure in his tone. "Fine. I also want to see this Super Saiyan's power for myself."
"Yes, King Cooler. I will respond immediately," the subordinate said.
In Cooler's view, Frieza's recklessness caused this catastrophe. If they had been ruthless earlier, remnants of the Saiyans would not remain.
Moreover, Cooler was confident. Even facing a Super Saiyan, he believed victory would be his.
His ultimate form was extremely powerful, and he didn't take the legend of the Super Saiyan seriously.
King Cold soon received Cooler's response—he agreed to join the mission to Earth.
Meanwhile, on Earth:
Goku, the Z Warriors, and Vegeta returned. They also used Earth's Dragon Balls to resurrect the Namekians killed by Frieza.
Goku had already used the Dragon Balls on Namek, so this was a courtesy.
Using the Dragon Balls didn't cost him anything, and even if the dragon that appeared later were stronger, Goku wasn't afraid. With infinite energy, he could even use Super Saiyan 4.
At Paozu Mountain,
Goku took Chi-Chi and Bulma out for a trip.
Chi-Chi smiled. "Goku, are you completely at ease leaving Gohan to train with Piccolo?"
"Of course," Goku replied with a laugh. "There's nothing to worry about."
In Goku's view, Piccolo was the best person to train Son Gohan.
Bulma added with a smile, "This is good. We can have some private time to enjoy with you, Goku."
"That's true," Chi-Chi said, smiling. With such a loving husband, they cherished these moments together.
