Chapter 13 - Chapter 12: No Less Than a Thousand Years!

Tang Hao felt that Ye Yu probably didn't know the energy within his own body himself, and he likely wouldn't remember what just happened.

Early the next morning, when Ye Yu woke up, he indeed couldn't recall what had happened last night, feeling very puzzled.

"Hmm? Grandpa, when did I come back? Is it already daylight?"

Ye Yu looked outside through the window; the sun was already high in the sky, and he was surprised he had slept for so long.

In the past, with his physique, he would have woken up early. But now, even after waking up, he felt somewhat fatigued, which surprised Ye Yu as it was the first time he had felt tired.

At the same time, he looked at his left hand, feeling a bit numb.

Ye Yu was utterly baffled, what had happened?

Seeing Ye Yu awake, Old Jack came forward with concern and asked, "Xiao Yu, how is your body feeling? Is there any discomfort?"

Ye Yu shook his head, "No, it's just unusually tiring to feel this way, especially since I've slept until now."

Old Jack said, "That must be because you've been training too hard lately."

Ye Yu didn't think so and felt something must have happened; he clearly remembered going to the foot of the hill outside the village, so how did he end up sleeping at home? What happened in between?

Ye Yu carefully tried to recall, but he couldn't think of anything.

Ye Yu stopped pondering, and his face turned somber.

"Grandpa, where is my mother buried?"

Old Jack shook his head, "I don't know either. After giving birth to you, she left, saying she wouldn't live another day and wanted to be with your father in death."

"Could it be that my father also..." Ye Yu furrowed his brows, a menacing glint flickering in his eyes.

Old Jack cautioned, "Xiao Yu, though we don't know your mother's Martial Soul, if you ever find out, don't go searching for it right away."

Ye Yu understood Old Jack's concern and promised, "Rest assured, if I find out in the future, I won't seek it out without enough strength; that would be walking into a trap."

Old Jack nodded, feeling reassured.

Ye Yu naturally knew that his mother's Martial Soul was the Nine-Hearted Begonia, and his own Martial Soul was the mutated Nine Spirits Black Begonia. As for the mutation's cause, it might relate to his father's genes.

Ye Yu thought, having such a powerful body might also be thanks to his father.

"Grandpa, did mom tell you anything about my father?"

Old Jack shook his head, "No, I've told you everything I know. About your father, I know nothing. Xiao Yu, your mother didn't wish for me to tell you, nor did she want you to become a Soul Master. She hoped you'd lead an ordinary life, probably because the enemies she faced back then were very formidable and she didn't want you to get involved."

Old Jack spoke with reservations.

Ye Yu said firmly, "Grandpa, I know you're worried about me being discovered by enemies in the future. But I must find out what happened and avenge this debt!"

Old Jack sighed, nodding his head, silently praying for Ye Yu in his heart.

Old Jack recounted what he had witnessed the previous night to Ye Yu, who then headed to the foot of the hill outside the village.

Upon arrival, seeing that the whole hill was indeed reduced to ruins, Ye Yu was astonished.

"What happened, could it be because of Tang Hao?"

Ye Yu knew Tang Hao's identity, son of the Vast Heaven Sect Leader, the most outstanding genius of the Vast Heaven Sect, and the youngest Titled Douluo in history.

If it was Tang Hao, naturally the hill would have been destroyed effortlessly.

Ye Yu went to the blacksmith's shop, wanting to find out more, as Tang Hao surely knew something about what happened.

Upon arrival, Tang Hao looked at him with an indifferent gaze, with no hint of anything unusual, as if nothing had occurred.

Ye Yu knew that Tang Hao was definitely concealing something.

"Uncle, although I don't know what happened last night, thank you."

Ye Yu knew that Tang Hao definitely helped him.

Tang Hao said, "You just fainted, and I found you. It's no big deal."

Ye Yu asked, "Is there nothing else?"

Tang Hao said meaningfully, "Knowing won't mean anything to you now. If you truly want to know, I'll tell you."

Hearing this, Ye Yu understood and didn't ask further.

Ye Yu left, and afterward, began to train hard every day.

Realizing that he might have formidable enemies, Ye Yu had to work harder to grow stronger, faster.

Day after day of training, with his improvements, the intensity and frequency also increased.

Unknowingly, three months had passed.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...

The heavy iron tied to Ye Yu's arms and legs had already doubled, with each limb bearing two thousand catties of weight. Despite this terrifying weight, his punches and kicks were still swift, bearing a fierce momentum.

Then, he reached below a hundred-meter waterfall, bent his legs, and with a sudden kick, shot upward, splitting the waterfall as he advanced. Within three breaths, he reached the top, against the formidable current.

Following that, he arrived at a stretch of debris piles.

This place used to be a continuous row of hills, but daily practicing on the hills had, over three months, reduced eight hills to rubble piles.

Tang San was at that moment sitting cross-legged on the last hill, facing the rising eastern sun.

When Ye Yu arrived at the foot of the hill, with just one punch, the entire hill trembled, shocking Tang San, thinking it was an earthquake.

Looking down, Tang San smiled wryly, shouting, "Brother Yu, please go easy; this is the last hill."

Ye Yu looked up and said, "Xiao San, you're up there, huh? In that case, I'll stop here for today. I'm heading back to prepare; today is the enrollment day for Nuoding Junior Soul Master Academy, don't forget."

Tang San, eager to see the outside world, naturally wouldn't forget.

"Got it, see you at the village entrance later."

After breakfast, Ye Yu arrived at the village entrance with Old Jack, and shortly after, Tang San arrived carrying his luggage.

Old Jack felt very proud, as Holy Soul Village had produced two Soul Masters this year.

Since both Tang San and Ye Yu possessed Innate Full Soul Power, Old Jack already regarded them as Soul Masters. As long as they obtained one Soul Ring, they would become Soul Masters.

Old Jack sighed, "Once you both enter the Junior Soul Master Academy, you should be able to graduate within six years and then proceed to the Intermediate Soul Master Academy to continue your cultivation."

Tang San was curious, still having much to learn about this world.

"Grandpa Jack, what's the difference between the Junior Soul Master Academy and the Intermediate Soul Master Academy?"

Old Jack explained, "The Intermediate Soul Master Academy offers more advanced teachings, and the teachers there are stronger. The first two Soul Rings before level twenty can be obtained with help from other Soul Masters. After level twenty, acquiring Soul Rings requires hunting on your own."

Tang San understood that since the first two Soul Rings could be obtained with help, the more powerful the assistance, the better the Soul Rings one could acquire.

Tang San knew that the first Soul Ring had a human limit of under 400 years. Anything higher would result in self-destruction due to an inability to sustain the power.

Tang San had decided that his first Soul Ring should not be less than a hundred years old.

Similarly, Ye Yu had also decided what kind of Soul Ring he wanted to obtain.

His first Soul Ring should not be less than a thousand years old!
