Jeming rushed out of the laboratory, and the sight before him made his pupils shrink.
The entire ship plane had already fallen into chaos.
The protective barrier in the sky was flickering madly like it had malaria—sometimes bright and blinding, sometimes dim to the point of nearly disappearing.
From the direction of the large Elemental Pool in the distance came a piercing humming sound, with energy output fluctuating violently, twisting the air around the pool.
Even worse were the people.
Jeming saw at least dozens of wizards already fallen to the ground.
Their eyes were blank, pupils dilated, breathing still ongoing, but they showed no response to any external stimuli...exactly like those silent ones before.
And beside them, other wizards were anxiously trying to wake them up.
"They've been hit."
Jeming instantly understood what had happened.
