Evelyn stepped into the side corridor to get a little distance from the noise of the set. The excitement of what had just happened still clung to her shoulders; there was a faint warmth at her hairline, and her heartbeat hadn't yet settled into a calmer rhythm.
She stopped in front of the vending machine, scanning the options, unable to decide for a moment, but her fingers moved on their own and pressed the number for the mango bread.
When the small package dropped into her hand, she felt a brief sense of relief. Throughout the shoot, Julian's and Raven's closeness, their rhythm, the brush of their breath against her skin… Now all of it replayed in her mind like a trembling reflection.
She leaned against the wall and opened the package. The sweet scent of mango spread through the air instantly.
She took a small bite, the outside was soft, the inside slightly moist. One of her favorite flavors unfolded across her tongue, placing a gentle smile on her lips.
