Just as i was still using Paradox, i remembered the fact that all what happened before using Fixed Point was being recorded on cameras, even though i promised yesterday to be more responsible with using magic, i expected that at any second now, i would be hearing from the Principal about it and was even a little anticipating it .
But no matter how long i waited, i didn't get a call from the principal, not even a message, i wondered why, but i just discarded of that thought, thinking that i might be able to found out the reason to this soon .
I arrived at the school main building and headed towards the office, there were not many students swarming the corridors, so i stopped using Paradox to get past them and the moment i stopped using it, i felt a sudden wave of exhaustion assault me, but i thought this was quite normal, considering the fact that i kept using spells in the last 15 minutes than I did in battles back in my past life .
I also realized that Fixed Point seemed to have side effects on the people under it, it gave them a headaches, but i thought that to be quite normal their perception of time got altered by the spell and even after negating that effect, i noted Its effects were still present, but luckily it wasn't anything severe, the headaches might go away after a second or so .
I really should be careful with my use of spells, the incident with using Fixed Period was quite the strong proof of that, someone life might be in a grave danger, if the skill somehow caused a misshap, even though i might still be able to fix it, but i kept had a bad premonition in my heart, continuing to mess with Time like this .
I still clearly remember that the Celestial girl called this power of mine a cursed power, i thought that she was just annoyed by it, but now, now I'm beginning to believe that something might be wrong by it, what happened with using Fixed Period didn't only bring disappointment to, no, it also brought me hope .
Hope of granting my mother her wish and fulfuilling my promise to her, even though i still hadn't had a clue about how to do so currently, the apperance of a spell that can turn people back to what they used to look like in their past lives, made me believe that it was possible to get something from the past to appear in the present, so getting a flying castle to appear in today's world was pretty much possible .
I was beginning to fantasize about the look on my mother face as she see the castle she only dreamt about in front of her, but then I discarded of these thoughts currently, thinking to myself that not only i still haven't had a clue about what kind of spell will be able to have that kind of time traveling effect and the reaction that the current people in this world will have when they witnessed a floating castle in the sky passing by them .
I couldn't help but chuckle a little at my thought as i remembered a certain kind of meme that seemed to be accurately describing what their reactions were going to be like .
I reached the office and i knocked on the door, a soft childish voice from inside told me to come in, i opened the door and went inside and just as i took a step in the room, i heard a hasty voice of a male, saying :
Principal, I'm here to give you an.... .
He stopped what he was about to say as he saw that the person who came through the door wasn't the principal but me, he was a bit surprised by this, but not more than me .
I looked at the purple haired guy Haimura Moroha and understood that he seemed to have been waiting for the principal as well, the principal who was nowhere in sight seemed to have given him an appointment to meet her around this time, neither of the two of us got to meet the person we came her for .
Instead, the only other person in the room than the two of us was the little girl Maya who was currently sitting so close that it was as if she was clinging to him, making him feeling a bit uncomfortable .
" Good morning, Maya-chan, Hello Ancient Dragon- kun, how are you both today ? .
He was a bit surprised at first wondering how did i know about that, but he just sighed and greeted me back and said :
Words do get around fast in this school, but please refrain from calling me that, please ? .
Oh, good morning, Ryuu onii-sama, this morning I'm quite good, thank you for asking desuu .
Those were both of their answers to me, one seemed completely unaware of the second part due to being engrossed in thinking that the whole school might be aware and the other seemed to be in a quite the happy mode for some unknown reason .
But i shared one thing with Haimura Moroha, the fact that we both almost collapsed on the floor as she called me onii-sama, it caught me completely off guard and it took the other guy by surprise as well, we both looked at the petite girl in utter confusion .
Seeing that we looked at her, she put a hand on his chin and tried to act serious as she said in an innocent tone :
Isn't Ryuu onii-sama is the husband of Mari onee-sama, then me calling him older brother isn't something weird right .
Huh, who is marrying who, what is going on here, i can't make any sense of what is happening at all, what is your relationship with the principal exactly, Ryuu-kun .
I too was a bit of stunned at the blunt way, Maya had just uttered those words in as if they weren't shocking at all, her logic was indeed correct, but she seemed to be so young to have such a mature way of thinking, what a troublesome girl, that little girl in front of me was .
But from her words, i was at least able to confirm that she seemed to be indeed aware of the relationship between me and the principal, I looked at the guy that was a bit pale, i can't tell if he was surprised or just confused at all that was happening, probably a mix of the two, seemed to be quite fitting answer, as i searched for an answer that should allow him to understand the situation, a brilliant answer came to my mind, i said after coughing and clearing my throat :
" Ummm, it will be a bit difficult to get into the details about this with you, but i can give you an answer that should be able to clear your confusion, my relationship with the principal, is similar to the relationship you had with Shizuno, i believe that should clear your confusion up .
He first looked more surprised at my answer, but soon he nodded his head weakly, seeming to have understood what i was trying to say, but soon he looked at me with a grave expression as he said sternly :
What do you know about my relationship with Urushibara-san and why are you calling her by her first name ? .
" Don't get all heated up for nothing, i don't believe she had told you this yet, but I'm Shizuno's older brother .
He suddenly snorted and said :
Do you believe that I'm stupid enough to just believe what you saying, how can a brother not recognize his sister, not to mention you two have completely different family names .
" It doesn't really matter to me much whether you believe it or not, it's the truth we're half-brother and sister, as for why we both have different family names, all i can say that we all have our own set of difficulties, you snooping around them won't make things any better, but if you still had doubts about what I claimed, you can as her later yourself .
He seemed to have come to his senses at me lashing out like this, he first bowed down and apologized in a hurry, i thought that at least he was sensible enough, so me leaving Shizuno to him might be an actual good idea, i wonder what would happen if i were to use Fixed Period on that guy will he be wearing half an armor, half a cloak .
You earlier said that the relationship you had with the principal is similar to ours, does that mean Urushibara is indeed ... ? .
I cut him off, just as he was about to finish speaking out his thoughts, remembering the face that Shizuno will make if she knew of what i did, i decided to put a stop to his line of thoughts, saying :
" I don't know what kind of relationship was between you two, you will have to ask her yourself to find the answer for that yourself .
He nodded at my words and thanked me for letting him know, he was about to say something when a cough sounded from the third person that was currently in the room with us, Maya coughed to catch both of our attention and as we turned our heads towards her, she said :
You came a bit too late, Ryuu onii-sama, Mari onee-sama had already left a bit earlier, due to her having a meeting with the chairman of the school .
The girl said this as a matter of face and she didn't seem to falter at the conversation and the information that we were saying earlier, her words completely baffled me and for some reason the other guy seemed to be reacting the same way as well .
I was baffled due to the fact that i came to school a whole half an hour early, yet i was unable to meet her, for some reason i began to feel that she was trying to avoid meeting me or something like that, i felt a bit troubled by this, but thought sooner or later, i will be able to meet her, even if i decided to force the time to stop, so that i can search where she was, after hearing this, i was about excusing myself and going on my way .
But then i heard the other guy saying :
Huh, but didn't you earlier say that she will be here in a few minutes .
I noticed that for the first time since i met this girl, i saw that she was actually feeling uncomfortable and was blushing, the scene taken place was completely weird to me, so i couldn't help but get my phone out of my pocket and take a picture of what her face currently looked like .
I believed that i should have put it in silent mode before taking that picture, she heard the photo capturing sound and actually glared at me then she had a cute pout
on her face, her expression then turned to one of sadness, i suddenly saw her turning her head away from me and she looked at the guy who asked her a question just now and said :
I just wanted to spend some time chatting with you Moroha-san dessu .
As she said this, the whole atmosphere in the room changed, the guy was a bit speechless of what to say, but he ended up just pointing at himself and once again asking her to confirm that she wanted to talk to him a bit more, she nodded her head and begin explaining her past experience as the reason to why she wanted to chat mor with him was related to this .
She told us that due to her awakening in an early age, she wasn't able to communicate much with her peers, nor she was able to make friends due to her being enrolled in this school, but her all people were older than her and she found making friends with them even more difficult, thanks to the interference of the principal, she didn't need to interact much with her peers in class, she ended up being homeschooled on school .
She then went on and on about her difficulties and her shutting in on herself she mentioned that she changed after she helped him heal yesterday, after kissing him .
The moment i heard that part, i couldn't help but look a bit disgusted at the antics of that guy, he sensing my gaze, shook his head in denial, but to no avail, i had already took my phone and was about to report him, when she was the one that explained that it was important for the healing process, so i put my phone back in my pocket .
And laughed so hard inwardly at his current expression, he wore a grave expression on his face, the girl then continued to express that she only did this, so that she can have the chance to talk to someone .
I felt there were a few points here unexplained, but i still reached her head and patted gently as if indicating my fully support to her, we are already a family, she even called me big brother, so of course i would be supporting her unconditionally .
Her expression shifted from one of sadness to one of happiness in a quite swift manner, but she seemed to not want just me to support her, she turned her head and looked at the purple haired guy who was still sighing disappointingly, he was engrossed in his own mind, but a little bit of my killing intent was all that it took to get him back to focus, he nodded at her and even reached out for her hands and shook it .
This small gesture of mine also allowed me to understand that the guy in front of me wss no pushover and he did indeed have some skills, his sensing abilities were top notch, he instantly regained his attention and become alarmed the moment i began to release it, he also seemed to have become wary of me due to me glaring at him .
I couldn't help but wanted to test him a bit more, but now wasn't the right time nor the right place, I was about to excuse myself and go look if I'm able to run into her in the hallways, i asked Maya to tell me discreetly when she arrive at the office, if I were to be unable to run into her .
She seemed to have understood my intention, she nodded her head and had a brilliant knowing smile on her, I also said goodbye to Moroha, but just as he saw me open the door, he suddenly asked me something, saying :
Did you happen to have received a call from Satsuki, apologizing or saying thank you ? .
I appeared in front of him and had my phone in had, answering his question with a question of my own, saying :
" Is that her number ? .
He looked at the screen then at me and his response was to shake his head .
