Sallie's POV
To tip off Jill about my plan to refresh my account, I made sure to pull out my drawing supplies right there at the office.
Just like I expected, Carol practically pounced the second she spotted them. "Ms. Isabelle, what are you up to?"
Carol was basically Jill's lapdog. She'd been the one helping Jill swipe my phone before.
I acted completely oblivious to the scheming look in her eyes. While I unpacked my brushes, I said casually, "Haven't painted in forever. My hands are getting restless."
Since everyone knew about my art background, Carol bought it completely. She even scooted closer, asking, "I've never actually watched you paint, Ms. Isabelle. What's the plan?"
I paused like I was considering it, then said, "Thinking maybe a raccoon. Been seeing tons of raccoon clips online recently—they're pretty adorable."
Carol seemed shocked that I was being so chatty.
