Moon's pov
The next day at the same forest, i spent the entire night hunting monster. "This should be the last one.... Before commander irida turns me into paste with lectures." I said to myself before heading out the forest.
As i walked out the green lump of trees, im not even sure to call it a forest anymore. "What is even my level at?"

"I should appraise... Abyssal vail." I raise my finger before tapping on the skill
[Skill "abyssal vail" allows the user to become completely invisible for those who cannot sense the shadows, can be turned on and off.]
"Hmmm, i see... exactly what i needed... Now that im almost as powerful as those they call prodigy's." I said to myself proudly almost yelling out
"But its weird that i literally have infinite potential, the average person is maxed at level 1000, prodigy's and geniuses at 5 thousand, heros at 10 thousand." I said to myself whilst pondering "guess ill make the most out of my new powers."
I step into the Mercenary camp once again, just to see commander irida waiting for me... "Oh sh*t...im so fu**ed." I said, my body trembling with the trauma of her sending me to the wolves last time i did this "hey the- cut the bullshit." She intercepts, her tone laced with annoynce and slight frustration "where the hell were you, and what the hell were you doing." She asked, almost demanding an answer as if it wasn't even a question. "Well um... You see, i just wanted to try out this new odachi i got..." I lied, clearly wanting to hide my abilitys from everyone. "Oh really? So everyone now *trys* out their weapons for 9 hours straight? Sounds fishy..." She says. "Fine... I was leveling up to get stronger so i can finally go home after im done with the camp" a lie is better mixed with truth to make it more believable.
"Alright then, ill let you off the hook this time. Go rest untill you're ready to come out again." She said, looking at me with a look that says "i want to strangle you to death but you're being a good boy so I can't " i go back to the tent, pushing the fabric before starting to think. "Home huh? Wonder how my family's doing, especially lil bro and sis"
"We have no parents, so im the one working to provide. Even if it means putting ny life on the line. God knows what they're doing in their little magic and martial arts schools, lil bro might even have a girlfriend he's hiding from ne... He was off last time I talked to him." I giggled aloud to myself whilst writing a letter informing my sister and little brother that im going to be back soon.
After a few hours of resting, i finally manage to leave the tent. "Fully recovered and ready to go." I said whilst walking towards the training room "time to test out my new powers." I said whilst pushing the door to the big training hall.
I grab my odachi and approach the nearest dummy "sorry, but it's for a greater cause." I raise my odachi up before slashing it down. "One arm technique, flow style." Its just a little skill i picked up from bullying undead swordsmen. As my blow connects with a powerful bang... And as the dust settles, i see giant crater. And the dummy is spilt cleanly in to halves while my sword flickers with humming energy, and once again... I finally get a glance at my... Purple eyes?
"It seems like a side effect for using skills" i then realize what i just did before silently tip toeing outside the hall and straight to my tent "tomorrow is when i get out... Who cares anyway." I launch myself at the rock hard matress they call a bed in this camp before dozing off peacefully.
