My hands won't stop trembling. The same hands that somehow purified corrupted water just hours ago, that felt power flowing through them like liquid fire. Now they look ordinary, familiar with their scattered freckles and the tiny scar near my thumb from that kitchen accident years back. But I can still sense it beneath my skin, that foreign energy humming like a second heartbeat.
Jackson's question echoes in my mind on an endless loop.
"Not Moon Child magic... then what in the Goddess's name are you?"
The words have burrowed deep, settling into my bones with uncomfortable weight. I should be terrified, should be falling apart at the seams. Instead, there's just this crushing heaviness, like I've been sleepwalking through life carrying something immense, and now that it's stirring to consciousness, I can't pretend it doesn't exist anymore.
