Zhao Wuji unleashed several Spirit Abilities and charged at the Titan Giant Ape with everything he had. However, the giant beast simply raised a hand and slapped him away like a cannonball. Seeing his teacher fall, Tang San bravely stepped forward and used his Blue Silver Grass Binding. He sent out a challenge to the Titan Giant Ape, hoping to stop it.
But it was no use. The Titan Giant Ape completely ignored the binding from his mother's spirit. It was a total failure. Ah Yin, who was still nearby in the group chat, watched as the match failed instantly. Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun did not fully understand the situation and were about to rush in to help, but Su Yan stopped them.
Su Yan told them not to just charge in mindlessly. He explained that if the opponent really wanted to kill them, he would have just slapped everyone from the start instead of wasting time. Hearing his words, the students suddenly realized he was right. Although the Titan Giant Ape looked terrifying and massive, there was no killing intent in its eyes, and it wasn't actually trying to attack them anymore.
Zhao Wuji got back up and reacted to the situation as well. He realized that a King of the Forest and a Hundred Thousand Year Spirit Beast like the Titan Giant Ape wouldn't need much effort to kill a Spirit Saint like him. The giant ape indeed paid no attention to the rest of the group. Its gaze was fixed only on Xiao Wu. After a moment of hesitation, the creature took a step closer and extended its giant hand toward her.
Xiao Wu turned to look at Su Yan for guidance. Su Yan gave her a small nod. Xiao Wu then jumped directly onto the palm of the Titan Giant Ape. At that moment, the little monkey also jumped over to join her. The Titan Giant Ape's eyes swept over the small monkey, and it began to push out its other hand to repel the little creature.
Xiao Wu quickly shouted for it to stop. The Titan Giant Ape heard the panic and nervousness in her voice and immediately withdrew its hand. It likely did this because the little monkey appeared to be a Spirit Beast and it wanted to respect Xiao Wu's wishes. Little did the giant ape know that Xiao Wu wasn't worried about the monkey at all; she was worried about the ape! If it had dared to push that monkey, the little monkey would have shown the Titan Giant Ape the true power of an Old Ancestor.
Zhao Wuji started to panic again seeing the girl being taken away. He stammered to Su Yan about the little rabbit being in danger. Su Yan comforted him and said everything was fine. He repeated that if the ape wanted to kill, it would have already done so, and reminded him that the little monkey was with her for protection.
However, Su Yan's true attention was on Tang Hao, who was hiding in the shadows. He wondered if that rat would come out of hiding to pursue them. Tang Hao knew Xiao Wu was a Hundred Thousand Year Spirit Beast in human form, so he wasn't worried about her safety with another beast. The real problem was whether Tang Hao would be concerned about this valuable spirit beast escaping his control.
In the shadows, Tang Hao was feeling very conflicted. Since Xiao Wu and Tang San didn't have a close relationship yet, he felt this Spirit Beast could only be killed for its ring rather than being tricked into a sacrifice. If she went back to the center of the forest, he wondered if she would ever come out again. He remembered Ah Yin telling him that such beasts eventually need to enter human society after taking human form. After some thought, Tang Hao decided not to act rashly just yet.
Su Yan was a bit confused by this. He thought about the hundred-thousand-year spirit ring and couldn't believe Tang Hao wasn't going to chase her. He posted in the chat that Tang Hao was a bastard for not going after Xiao Wu, asking if he wasn't afraid of losing the ring forever.
The group was confused. Ah Yin replied that she suddenly remembered telling Tang Hao about how these beasts need human society. Su Yan replied that she was the first generation disgrace of Spirit Beasts and Xiao Wu was the second.
Zhao Wuji was still anxious and told Su Yan that the students should leave the Star Dou Great Forest now. He said he would go after them alone to rescue Xiao Wu and the little monkey. Tang San, seeing an opportunity to be a hero, said he would go too. Su Yan told them both to forget it. He told Teacher Zhao to stay and guard everyone else. Su Yan said he would be the one to bring the little rabbit back.
Su Yan muttered to himself and then flew directly into the sky. Once he was far enough away, he released a powerful ability. He used his Eighth Spirit Ring's first ability, Incarnation. He pulled out a strand of hair and threw it to the ground, where it transformed into a clone to protect Zhu Zhuqing and the others. The clone immediately entered spirit possession, wearing golden armor and holding an iron rod, ready for a fight.
In the shadows, Tang Hao's heart filled with joy when he saw Su Yan fly away. He felt that luck had come to him without any effort. He decided to ignore the spirit beast for now because Su Yan had left himself alone. It was the perfect time to chase him and kill him. He figured everyone would just think Su Yan died at the hands of a Spirit Beast. Tang Hao felt Su Yan was too unpredictable and strong to be controlled, so it was better to kill him early. He pulled on his black robe, covered his face, and began the chase.
Up in the sky, Su Yan turned his head and started laughing. He was glad the "rat" had finally come out of the sewers to follow him. He then saw another figure moving through the forest in the distance. He realized Spirit Kite Douluo was also there and was happy because she knew the Titan Giant Ape was an ally. Together, they knew Tang Hao was doomed.
In the Supreme Pontiff Palace, Bibi Dong sat on her throne feeling excited. She told Su Yan in the chat that she had one more teleportation opportunity and was ready to help whenever he called. Bo Saixi also joined in, offering to help because the "pie" Su Yan promised herāthe First Level Spirit Powerāwas too good to pass up. She said for someone like her, that power meant finally becoming a god.
Ah Yin felt a bit regretful that Su Yan left so fast and didn't bring her to watch the fight. Su Yan explained that he didn't think Tang Hao would come after him instead of Xiao Wu. He guessed that his ability to fly had made Tang Hao nervous enough to try and kill him now.
The rest of the group, like Hu Liena and the others, cheered him on. Su Yan told them that if he couldn't break Tang Hao's leg today, they would all owe him a system spirit ring. Everyone in the chat, from Ma Xiaotao to Liu Erlong, was excited to see the outcome.
