As time pass, Huo Yuhao also grow up despite being malnourished and often bullied he and his mother still live at the outskirts of the Dai family territory.
He also learns something unexpected when he uses his martial soul, he can see a little bit of different color to his surroundings, which he later clarified it as multiple kinds of energy, the kind of energy being used to cultivate their soul power by absorbing into the cultivator's body.
He named it Spiritual Eyes since he was inspired by a story during his childhood, he used it to observe how the different energy behaves and what's the reason it reacts. This is the only thing besides his mother who can make him happy during his years living in this harsh world.

Just when Huo Yuhao was about to enter 10 years old which he has cultivate to a level 7, he has improve his cooking skills and predictions to 39% accuracy which is due to many human, animals, plants and elements he observe with his Spiritual Eyes.
A disaster struck, when returning home after being bullied like usual he found out that the small living area where he and his mother live was burned to the ground. Huo Yun'er his mother lay beside the burning area and she's barely alive to hug and whispered comforting words towards him before dying from her own wounds.
At the same time the Dai family mansion were also attacked but was quickly dealt with by their guards which barely managed to fend the attacker who suddenly stop attacking and retreat back.
When Dai Hao, the leader of the Dai family, learns of this, he immediately launches an investigation to find out the attacker. He learns about the burning smoke at the outskirts of his territory, so he immediately goes there only to find ashes, while also seeing a burning corpse who hid something from the fire.
When he removed the burning corpse, he saw his son Huo Yuhao who managed to calm himself from crying. He tried to comfort his son by touching his body, which Huo Yuhao immediately glared at him with a look of betrayed, lost, anger, sadness and pain which later transformed into a look of passive but determined.
He tried to say something but was cut off by Huo Yuhao who said to cut ties with him and never showed his face to him again. It caused Dai Hao to panicked but powerless to do anything about it.
Huo Yuhao burried his mother inside the earth where everything has burn while Dai Hao needed to attend his duty while about to give him weapon which are immediately rejected by Huo Yuhao and he can only whispered comforting words before walking away.
Huo Yuhao later walk only with his clothes which are made by combining plants and earth while ties using water to moisture it which surprisingly wasn't half bad and even can be mistaken as ordinary clothes.
