Cherreads

Chapter 3 - Act.1 - Part 2

"Who are you... and how did you get in here!?" shouted a female teacher, startled upon encountering a suspicious man running down the staircase. With only a white tank top and trunks on, the sight of his large bulge made him seem like a perverted flasher.

"Hey! Stop running, intruder!" yelled a male teacher patrolling the ground floor of the school building. He immediately gave chase, assuming the man was a perverted thief escaping the premises while carrying a floor mop he had stolen.

"What's happening?"

"Who's that?... A foreigner?"

The commotion outside didn't just alert more teachers to the presence of the so-called pervert flasher-thief—it also caught the attention of students in the classrooms near the school building's entrance.

Nach kept running at full speed, ignoring the shouts behind him and unaware of the chatter from those watching the chase unfold.

Shit—please let me make it on time!

Despite his desperate plea, Nach knew he was already too late.

By the time he burst out of the school building and made it outside, Tashima had already been bitten by one of the undead behind the school gate and was frantically struggling to pull his left arm free from its mouth.

How did he know?

On the holographic screen flashing in the corner of his vision, Nach could see the current progress of the story.

Whatever mysterious power he had acquired that granted him such an ability, Nach decided to set aside his curiosity for now. What mattered wasn't solving that mystery—but acting.

Having already failed to save Tashima, the first victim in the story, Nach's goal was now to stop the undead outbreak inside the school—or at least, that's what he told himself.

In truth, a full-time degenerate pervert like Nach—who freely admitted to touching himself before bed using the female leads of the story as his fap material—was running toward the school gate for one simple reason: to save the attractively ravishing female teacher, Kyoko Hayashi.

Of course, stopping the undead outbreak would also help secure his own survival, along with that of the side characters he wanted to sace. After all, unlike the main cast, side characters—and especially an extra like him—didn't have the survival skill known as plot armor.

But even that wasn't the main point.

If Nach was truly trapped inside the story—whether it was a dream or a nightmare—and if dying here meant dying in real life, then there was one thing he wanted to do before that happened.

He wanted to do it with Kyoko—before he died or woke up. And if no chance presented itself, he'd create one.

"Sorry, Tashima-sensei—But I'll be the one to eat Kyoko."

Nach arrived at the chaos at the school gate just as the undead Tashima lunged to sink his teeth into Kyoko's slender, tempting neck.

He grabbed the back of her coat with his left hand and yanked her away, narrowly saving her—but in the process, Kyoko's coat was torn open, and her blouse and bra ripped apart, since Tashima had been clutching at them.

Keeping Kyoko tightly in his arms to protect her, Nach kicked Tashima square in the face before the creature could rise, slamming him against the gate with a loud clang.

Kyoko, meanwhile, was still in a daze—shocked by the realization that she'd nearly died moments ago. She hadn't yet grasped that she was safe, nor did she notice that her savior's hand was "unintentionally" grabbing her exposed breast, or that something hard and massive was pressing against her soft rear.

"Tashima-sensei!"

Two male teachers shouted in panic upon seeing Tashima slammed against the gate and fall face-first to the ground. They still believed he was alive—or rather, they hadn't yet grasped that he'd turned into an undead.

Before Tashima could rise, Nach smashed the floor mop he had been holding, breaking it apart to use the wooden handle as a makeshift spear. He aimed to impale Tashima and kill the first undead at the school—perhaps even changing the course of the story in the process.

But before he could strike—

"What do you think you're doing, bastard!?"

"Let go of Hayashi-sensei!"

"Help Tashima-sensei!"

The teachers chasing Nach—along with several curious students, likely from the disciplinary committee—finally caught up and restrained him, pulling Kyoko away.

Although Nach was physically strong, with his tall, muscular build trained by years of survivalist hobbies, even he struggled against two teachers and four male students. He couldn't break free to finish off Tashima before the undead lunged again—this time biting the hand of the female students who'd rushed forward to help.

—"ARGH~!"—

Panicked screams echoed from the bitten girl as she fell to her knees, blood gushing from the wound. Her friends screamed in terror, clutching Kyoko, who finally regained awareness of her surroundings—only to freeze again in horror at the gruesome sight before her.

The two male teachers who'd come with Kyoko tried to pull Tashima away from the girl, but one of them was bitten in the neck and died instantly. The other was pinned to the ground, screaming as Tashima tore into his arms.

Nach finally broke free from the grip of those restraining him—or rather, they let him go, rushing to aid their fallen classmate and teachers.

Brandishing his broken mop handle, Nach lunged forward, driving it straight into Tashima's head as the undead once again lunged toward Kyoko.

"Didn't I say, Tashima-sensei—Kyoko is mine!"

He thrust the mop handle through Tashima's right eye until the tip burst from the back of his neck. The undead teacher finally collapsed, motionless.

But killing Tashima—the first undead in the school—couldn't change the story anymore. The events were already unfolding just as written.

The only thing Nach could still change was Kyoko's fate.

With only the two of them and a pair of terrified female students still alive at the front gate, Nach made his decision.

"We're running away, Kyoko."
