Deacon Roth could hold his alcohol, that was a fact that was as true as water being a liquid. But for some reason, whenever Deacon got drunk in the presence of Haley Slater it seemed that his body forgot that it had a high tolerance for alcoholic beverages. The very first time that he and Slater had gotten properly sloshed together, Deacon had woken up as a married man with none other than Haley Slater as his wife.
He should have known then that alcohol, Deacon himself, and Haley Slater made for a combination that resulted in very weird things happening.
But he had not.
The second time that Deacon had gotten drunk with Haley Slater the two of them had ended up deciding to share a bed for the rest of their marriage. Something that they were still keeping up with.
