*Kissing*
He stopped kissing me when my dagger went just a layer inside his vest. "You made me wet again Aro" I said angrily. I dusted myself though nothing on my clothes was dirty, but somewhere something in me felt dirty and I had to get rid of it.
"My dear only wife, do you even know what that means?", he said while hovering his face around me like an annoying buzzing bee.
"For a millionth time! there is no marriage between us!" I ate his ear off with my shriek.
"For a millionth time! you cannot go back on your word!", He amazingly mimicked my tone.
"Ugh!!" I smacked his head. And that clever fox fell on my lap holding his perfectly fine bothersome head.
"A royal never breaks his/her promise", he said as if narrating an old tale. "Want to be banished my beautiful princess?".
Right at this moment, I wanted to bite his eyebrow that was making an arrogant rise, but I knew that a righteous person like me can never win against a lustful and petty man like him. He is a man by his age but I swear to God, he is an annoying fly with wet lips in my eyes. "Stop smelling my hair!", I growled at him.
"Okay wife", he said with a wide childish grin.
"Let's go already, if anybody sees me with you, while you call me wife and nonsense, they are gonna kill me on my own birthday". I got up instantly and started pacing towards the fort before the sun turned red and the torches went on. Happy with his husbandly duties he performed today, Aro started to go to his quarters too. Waving at me like a kid waving at his mother.
.....
That's right, today is my 24th birthday and there is an annual royal ball tomorrow to celebrate it. But first my dear papa and mama graciously invite me to a family dinner to celebrate another year of their dear off spring. I took a warm bath and got dolled up by my maids for this sweet family dinner. I like this feeling of cleanliness and refreshment. There is nothing like an armor with a busy soldier in it, but there is also nothing like a lady in a gorgeous gown.
*Deep breath*
The fresh evening breeze coming into my chamber from the open balcony doors filled me with the excitement of my birthday. Maybe it's the charm of this once in a year day but even the breeze smells festive. I go on to the balcony for a quick solitude. Far away but within the fort I could see the soldier's quarters. "They all must be eating their dinner now", I muttered to myself. It's good to get rid of some romance, some training and some duties, just to have a peaceful solitude in my balcony looking out into the endless sky. I love the brightest star in the sky, Vega I think it's called. Seems like little Vega is also having it's time for itself. Looking at my kingdom and it's flickering torches as people go to sleep, I was soon lost in deep thought.
....
"Your highness. The dinner is served. His majesty, The King and Her highness, The Queen, are requesting your Prescence, My lady", said a dutiful maid. And here I was with my parents. The food looked divine.
"How old are you, papa?", I asked.
"62 and 7 months!", said the man with the crown. His enthusiasm and youth, shall I say, made me chuckle.
"And that must mean mama, you are 65. right?", I said.
"That's right dearest. But it's not our day lady Orromeen, tell us, how does 24 feel?", asked my mother.
"I feel ready mama. I feel ready for everything that life has to offer."
"Power?" said His majesty. "Yes", said I.
"Trust?" said His majesty. "Yes", said I.
"Orrome?" said His majesty. "Yes", said I.
"Experience?" said Her highness. "Yes mama", said I.
"Grief?" said Her highness. "Yes", said I.
"Love?" said Her highness. "Y-yes", said I.
"Heartbreak?"...
"Enough my love, Haha...let the girl grow an inch", Interrupted my father. "Here is the real question Elora, for which we both are hoping your answer be a swift yes". said my father.
"Marriage? Will you marry Prince Zaurus of Maldoia?" Asked my father catching my unwavering attention.
"Zaurus Maldonne? of Maldoia?", I said with a little bit of surprise. "Did they send an offer for me? I know that they do not accept any invitations and prefer to choose it themselves."
"Yes dear", said mama.
"It is a one in a million offer, I am very honored and flattered by this. Though I must say, as aware as I am of my talents, I did not expect me to be Maldoia's subject", I said.
"Maldoia's subject as you say Elora, is what's truly needed in this time of political unrest and war everywhere in the world. We, as your King and Queen, want you to get engaged to Zaurus Maldonne, go to Maldoia, learn what it takes to maintain a peaceful kingdom like theirs in such times." said my father.
"And choose to be their subject here in Orrome, and help the world and our very own kingdom keep peace.", said I. It was not a bad idea. Once I come back from Maldoia, I will be a tiny step away from my dream of becoming a legendary monarch that brings peace to this ever quarreling world. "Yes my King. I will get engaged to prince Zaurus Maldonne of Maldoia.", I said.
"Spoken like a true prodigy!", said my father.
"We want you to have every happiness and glory, our daughter. It is a happy-sad event for us parents to see you go to a mysterious land of Maldoia for a whole year, my dear. But I suppose the world needs just that right now. Someone like you to form an alliance between Orrome and Maldoia and bring back peace." said Her highness, The Queen.
"Yes mama", Said I.
....
In my busy sleep. I heard an owl crying. Maybe it's a mating call. Sounds so sad.
