Chapter 155 - Change In The Original Plans

From one perspective, the Marines had already violated rules by sending a fleet into Dressrosa's territory.

Although, as Great Staff Officer, she might get away with more leeway, Tsuru thought about it… and decided not to cause Sengoku trouble before the situation was confirmed.

Therefore, she decided to find a way to break a hole in the birdcage and send a small squad in to investigate the situation inside and then decide on follow-up actions.

Although that would still be a violation, if Dressrosa truly had no problem, they could later claim the fleet was merely passing through Dressrosa's territory.

Thinking of this, Tsuru did not hesitate and immediately formed a squad.

Garp, who had been eating and drinking the whole way and not paying attention to anything, was assigned to join the operation.

This wasn't just because Garp was strong, but also because of his relationship with Zephyr; if they encountered him, he could help persuade him.

By the time the squad was formed, the sun had already set. However, just as they were about to break a hole… the birdcage... suddenly disappeared.

The Kingdom of Dressrosa, hidden by that birdcage, was completely exposed before everyone.

Chaos.

Everywhere their eyes swept across were broken limbs and ruins. The Kingdom of Dressrosa, which had been called the Land of Love and Passion, had, in that moment, turned into a wasteland.

And when the birdcage vanished, a familiar voice rang out.

"Hahaha, you two old geezers came too?"

Tsuru and Garp looked up. The figure that met their eyes was none other than the still-bickering Chief instructor, Zephyr.

It wasn't until the next morning that Tsuru finally understood what had happened in Dressrosa.

A carefully planned coup and a thrilling escape adventure!

Everything that had happened in Dressrosa gave her a headache; she rubbed her forehead helplessly as she looked at Zephyr, who'd received basic medical attention, was wrapped in bandages all over, and was hungrily stuffing his mouth with meat.

She sighed and said in a helpless tone: "Sengoku was right, you really do make a mess of things!"

"Hahaha, I couldn't help it, I just happened to run into it…"

Zephyr didn't care about Tsuru's words.

After downing a drink with Garp, he turned to Tsuru and said, "My sense of justice wouldn't allow me to remain indifferent."

"You weren't stopped from acting, but as a Chief Instructor, you should report to headquarters and wait for their orders. Because of your unilateral actions, Sengoku is having a headache right now!"

Tsuru shook her head, sighed, and looked at Zephyr. "Sengoku told me to tell you: your fooling around has to stop, okay?"

"You think I was fooling around?"

"Fine! It seems you still don't want to go back. I already guessed this mission wouldn't be simple, but I didn't expect it to be this troublesome."

Tsuru rubbed her forehead and gave a bitter smile, then, watching Zephyr get to his feet, she spoke seriously: "Zephyr, I must report this incident to Sengoku, including your unauthorized actions."

"Do as you like, anyway, it's over now."

"It might just be finished on your side, but for the Marine Headquarters, the trouble is only just beginning!"

Tsuru glanced meaningfully at Zephyr, then stopped paying attention to the conversation between Zephyr and Garp.

She took out her Den Den Mushi, and when connected, she didn't hesitate; her face turned serious as she said: "Sengoku, the situation is serious."

Inside the Fleet Admiral's office.

When Sengoku answered the Den Den Mushi and heard the news, his expression became grave.

In a heavy tone, he asked: "So everything that Zephyr reported is true?"

"No, it's even worse than what Zephyr said."

Tsuru's expression remained serious as she spoke into the Den Den Mushi. "That pirate has been defeated, but the incident's impact is too great. Although King Riku was successfully rescued, this incident can no longer be hidden."

"That pirate captured too many influential people; they all witnessed what happened. You should report to the World Government immediately and strip Donquixote Doflamingo of his Warlord status."

"Another Warlord? I knew it!"

Sengoku hit his head in frustration. "That's already the third, the third one! Can't these guys just behave?"

"Strictly speaking, it should be the second; Crocodile is still in the Kingdom of Alabasta."

"Tsuru, now is not the time for jokes."

Sengoku snapped and then grew serious again. "Arrest every member of the Donquixote Family and ensure Donquixote Doflamingo is escorted back to headquarters. I will report to the World Government immediately."

"I understand."

"Please, don't let any more accidents happen. And Zephyr... Well, forget it. This time, the priority is escorting Donquixote Doflamingo back."

"Rest assured, I will bring that person back."

Beep! Beep! Beep!

When the Den Den Mushi was disconnected, Sengoku let out a heavy sigh.

He hadn't expected... the situation to be this serious!

It forced him to change his original plans.

After pondering for a moment, Sengoku sighed and reached for a Den Den Mushi.

Just as he was about to call the Five Elders, the Den Den Mushi in his hand suddenly rang.

Sengoku was taken aback for a moment, but quickly recovered and answered. Before he could speak, a roar came through the line.

Hearing the words that soon followed, Sengoku's expression changed again; in a low tone, he said into the Den Den Mushi: "I understand. Rest assured, I will give the World Government an explanation!"

Beep! Beep! Beep!

After the Den Den Mushi was disconnected, Sengoku was silent for a moment. Then, barely a minute later, with a sigh, his expression turned serious, and he called back, speaking coldly: "Tsuru, mission changed."

On the Kingdom of Dressrosa side.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

After the Den Den Mushi was hung up, Tsuru sighed, put away the Den Den Mushi, looked at Zephyr in front of her, and said directly, "Zephyr, let's make a deal. The members of the Donquixote Family and Donquixote Doflamingo will be handed over to us. This time, I won't take you back."

As she spoke, she cast a meaningful glance at the people beside Zephyr, especially pausing on Kuma for a moment, before returning his gaze to Zephyr. "I trust you don't have the energy to resist the Marine Headquarters' fleet now."

"Hahaha, is that so?"
