Chapter 425 - An Era Coming To An End?

Sakazuki's Absolute Justice, on the other hand, meant carrying out the Marines' justice to the very end. No reason whatsoever could make the Marines' justice compromise. Within extreme measures lies an unwavering persistence toward justice.

"It seems the World Government hopes to use Sakazuki's Absolute Justice to eliminate any threat!"

Tsuru sighed. "But I must say, Absolute Justice is indeed somewhat suitable for this chaotic era."

"Which era wasn't chaotic? This era produced the Four Emperors of the Sea, the Seven Warlords of the Sea, Ian the God of Sun, and the Blood of Rocks."

Unlike Tsuru's thoughts, Sengoku smiled and shook his head. "But what about our era? Roger, Rocks, and his vicious companions. And even after Roger and Rocks died, my justice didn't change anything. So, perhaps Kuzan's Burning Justice is more suitable?"

"Burning Justice? Isn't that Lazy Justice?"

Justice should be served according to the circumstances; if it can be let off the hook, then let it go!

"Haha, you could say that. Although his justice is tinged with laziness, it also carries a touch of warmth."

Hearing Tsuru's teasing, Sengoku wasn't angry. Instead, he laughed heartily, then looked at Tsuru with a smile. "So, the higher-ups have decided to give two people a chance. As for who gets the position, that depends on their own abilities."

"Let them decide for themselves?"

But these words made Tsuru rub her forehead. "The World Government just loves to stir up trouble! Never mind, I still have a lot of things to deal with. Since there's nothing else, I'll be going now."

"Thank you for your help. Oh, and if you're going that way, could you please call Kuzan over for me?"

"Alright."

Watching Tsuru gracefully depart with her hands behind her back, Sengoku smiled and shook his head.

Only after Tsuru's figure had disappeared into the distance did his smile vanish. He lay back in his large Fleet Admiral's chair, raised his head, and gazed at the calligraphy hanging on the wall, Reigning Justice.

At that moment, a complex emotion flickered in his eyes. He remained silent, watching quietly for an unknown period of time before finally muttering to himself, "Is our era coming to an end?"

...

Ian was unaware of the impending power transition within the Marine Headquarters. Or rather, he was aware that a power transition was about to take place, but he didn't expect it to happen so quickly.

The Umbrella Corporation continued to operate its ships, relentlessly plundering the Heavenly Tribute across the West Blue.

And the operation went very smoothly; after two consecutive attempts, the World Government and the Marines still did not send out a fleet.

However, on the fourth attempt, they failed to get the Heavenly Tribute. It seemed that the other side had secretly changed their original route and did not dawdle like they had the previous three times.

After getting the Heavenly Tribute, they immediately left the West Blue.

This left Ian and the others somewhat disappointed.

But three waves in a row... were enough to rebuild Ohara, so after thinking about it, Ian decided not to go to other sea areas to steal the Heavenly Tribute.

After resting for a while, he led everyone back to Ohara.

Although most people already knew that Ohara had become a ruin, they realized after seeing it with their own eyes that it was not just a ruin, but a complete and utter destruction, with mountains crumbling and the ground cracking!

Especially those deep ravines, as if the entire island were about to collapse at any moment!

It's absolutely… terrifying!

Even though they didn't witness the battle firsthand, they could still sense how terrifying it was from these experiences alone.

They never imagined that Ian would be facing such a terrifying enemy!

For a moment, everyone looked at Ian holding the child with a mixture of complex emotions and shock, but Ian himself did not seem to care.

That battle was indeed extremely difficult, and he could have died if there had been even the slightest mishap.

After all, he only recovers extremely quickly; he is not immortal. He can still die from a fatal wound.

But... That battle was truly exhilarating!

It can be said that this was his most exhilarating battle in all these years, apart from the one against Borsalino back then.

However, he didn't say these words out loud, especially after seeing the looks in Robin and Ain's eyes; he knew... He would probably have a hard night again.

But now is not the time to worry about these things. Now that they are back, reconstruction can begin.

The reconstruction work is tedious but not difficult. Despite the island's uneven terrain, the Umbrella Corporation still has the infrastructure capabilities to support it.

Now that they have obtained the Stone-Stone Fruit, filling in those pits and bumps will be even easier.

But who should eat this Devil Fruit?

In fact, the main members of Umbrella Corporation are the same few people, and they have all eaten Devil Fruits.

He used to be in dire need of Devil Fruits, but now he has more and more.

Finally, after discussion, the Devil Fruit was given to Zephyr's student, Shuzo, to eat.

Shuzo, a member of the Longarm Tribe, was a former Commodore in the Marines.

He followed Zephyr during his madness and was extremely loyal to him.

Just like Binz, he doesn't have much of a presence, but his skills are quite good.

After leaving the Marine Headquarters, he helped Zephyr train the new fleet and rarely went out.

The Umbrella Corporation's fleet owes its current strength not only to Zephyr but also to Shuzo.

As for Binz... That guy's a complete slacker, nothing more to say!

After consuming the Stone-Stone Fruit, Shuzo temporarily joined the Umbrella Corporation's infrastructure team to begin the reconstruction of Ohara.

Of course, in addition to the reconstruction of the Ohara, the power bank at Ohara also needs to be repaired, replenished, and even expanded.

This is a powerful weapon used to counter the sneak attack of the Five Elders!

After everything was arranged, there was nothing more for Ian and the others to do.

However, Ohara is not suitable for habitation in the short term, so Robin and the others will need to stay on the Skypiea for the time being.

This trip is just a visit to the West Blue.

As for Ian, he must stay in the West Blue to prevent any accidents from happening.
